  • Armed response and Police dogs were at Beaconside school in Penrith on Friday, for a pre arranged thank you event. The school have been helping with the training of detectives and response officers as part of the child witnesses and victims of crime interview training programme. The force provided demonstrations and engagement with around 60 pupils. Our Reporter Sam Smedley went to the school to find out more.

Beaconside is one of the worst schools I went to, one teacher didn't do anything about me getting bullied even though I went to her everyday and another teacher kept on telling me off for hanging around with my sister because she was a year below me. I asked him why once but I still don't know.
