They do a great job of not definitively declaring what he is - all we know for sure through 5 episodes is that Jod is a force sensitive scam artist who has many aliases - kind of reminds me of Patrick Jane in the Mentalist
I have been really bad at keeping up with reactions but i get a few days this coming week to catch them and WOAH what in an incredible episode they nailed all the right beats in this episode. so cool Im very much enjoying the series so far cool reaction as always guys. Have a great Christmas and a happy new year guys
15:20 This move is for Wim (4:47). I don't think Jod isn't betraying the children. Wim was sad on the ship, and he was disappointed that their trip turned out the way it had. Win wanted an adventure, and Jod mentioned that just as they were entering the captain's vault (12:59). Jod has to pull double duty: keep the pirates at bay while giving the children (Wim in particular) the adventure they hoped to encounter. These children have changed Jod. He lived in a universe where everyone was looking out for themselves, himself included. The universe the Jedi fought to protect was gone, and Jod was "alone" and "lost" like he told the children back in episode three. Despite being alone and lost, the Children from At Attin never forgot one another. They've been sticking together, watching each other's back, every step of the way, which is something the Jedi used to do, and the universe Jod used to protect. These children are showing Jod that their is something worth fighting for, and I think that's why we saw him change along the way. The children have grown on him, and he's grown on them too. Jod has found a family worth fighting for and that's exactly what he's doing. Taking command of the ship and SM-33 is the only way he can do that now. We just watched SM-33 go through Fern for every request Jod made, and Fern didn't always immediately agree to Jod's request as she wanted assurances that Jod wasn't going to cheat them, which is understandable, but when every second counts, Jod can't afford to argue with Fern when there's no longer a wall or door separating them from pirates and bounty hunters that want to kill them. Jod needs someone that'll always have his back at a moments notice, and that only happens if he assumes command of their ship and First Mate, SM-33. 17:09 That's the point, right? Wim wants an adventure, and the adventure shouldn't be easy; it needs to be perilous, and that's going to happen in this booby trapped infested Captain's lair. Fern, KB, and Neel are smart, and they are all they need to avoid the dangers the captain set. When they get back to the ship, I think Jod will learn that Jod isn't the bad guy they thought he was--when this is over, Jod is going to need a ship and crew of his own to start his new life, and SM-33 is going to be that crew--funny how SM-33 is going to change his mind about droids =) 17:53 the Old Republic. They don't know about any of the wars--they still think Alderon is thriving along with Coruscant. 18:29 This is a two-part story, and the secrets of this planet/captain's lair are just getting started. We probably should wait until the next episode before judging what it is or isn't. SM-33 has the control panel at the ready, and he can program it to do whatever Jod wants now. 19:05 He couldn't have been a younglin. This story takes place 28 years after Order 66; Jod looks a lot older than 28 years old. I still think he's about the same age as Jude Law who is 51 years old. While it is possible that Jod was still a padawan, he would have been a general like Ahsoka leading Clone Troopers during the Clone Wars given how few Jedi there were during ROTS. I'm of the belief that Jod was a Jedi Knight--he would have been older than Ahsoka, Kanan and Kal Kestis were during the war. If Jod is the same age as Jude, he would have been 23 years old, probably around the age Obi-Wan kenobi was during TPM--online sources say Obi-Wan was 25 in episode one. Another great episode and reaction fellas. Happy Holidays =)
LOVE this! Thank you so much for dropping all of this information in here 🙏Im on board will all of it. I hope you’re right about Jod giving the full adventure for the kids. Thanks again for this and hope you have a great holiday!!
I don’t know. Expectations would say yes, but the show seems to defy expectations. Up until now, this show could have been the kids lost in space with SM33, and Jod didn’t have to be a factor. I do think SM33 will face turn either because of KB, the little mouse living inside his haul, whatever change ofheart he might have like the tin man from Wizard of Oz, or one of the kids successfully challenges Jod. If the latter happens, I’m going to say it will be Wm. I think that he was wearing the captain’s hat and that may be Wm’s foreshadowing of eventually taking the role of captain. If Jod is defeated and someone else becomes captain, he could just yield confrontation. So we will have to wait and see.
I think the captain was Fern’s grandfather, whom she referred to in the first episode. Although I did find it interesting that we didn’t see the captain’s face. SM33 mentioned that the concubine stabbed the captain, but her fate was not revealed. I’m wondering if that was actually her in the recording and she took on the persona of the captain.
I don't agree with the complaining about the spa feeling flat and having no purpose. I think the entire point of it was to give further evidence that the Onyx Cinder crashed a long time ago. For this lawless place where a Pirate had his headquarters to be turned into a wealthy spa for the galaxy's elite shows how long it's been. Also, the lightsaber was giving High Republic/Old Republic vibes with its design.

Thanks so much Brent! Merry Christmas to you as well. The show has been so much fun.
Jod betraying the crew came out of nowhere
As soon it was shown to be mint condition credits, I knew it was a mint.
I suspected that too, either that or a cloning operation.
Merry Christmas !! It was fun show !!

I knew Jod was going to heel turn, just didn’t know how intense.
Do you think he’ll turn again?

Oh look trace we got a regular jedi here

Oh damn! 🤯 I like these two theories!!!

Good points! Ya, I (Iraj) didn’t mind the spa at all either, especially the aesthetics of it. Thanks for watching with us. Happy Holidays!!!
Hahaha Capitain Pirate is the SM 33 ,,, i think
🤯 interesting!!!
I think he was a sith almost he hides his true name isn't that what they do to?
That would be nuts if he turns out to be a Sith. I love that we don’t know just yet.
Wtf was that
