The second issue at hand in “Man’s Man” is the over objectification and hyper-sexualization of women on social media. If all you see all day is photo-shopped pictures of girls looking perfect then there is a part of your brain that is going to tell you “hey man! you deserve a girl that looks like that!” It is pretty gross. This has become even more relevant obviously in the last two weeks of our exemplary political race. I don’t find any way of relating to the Trumps or Billy Bush’s of the world that legitimately believe they are entitled to well… we know. Yuck yuck"

Can someone clear this up for me? My first listen I never usually notice lyrics but I can't help it when someone does a talking verse like that. But that bridge, it feels super condescending and sarcastic. It is, isn't it? But then the you're me part? So the artist and I are both pieces of shit for being the man's man? But then we're told to go out and find the right boy or girl for us? I don't fucking get it. Are you cheering us on or telling us to stop objectifying women?
