Gavin: We ran across it Burney: what does that mean? Gavin: It means I used my legs slightly faster then walking XD brilliant Gavin just brilliant haha
I love this podcast because whenever I'm typing a paper or working in something I'll just turn this on in the background and semi listen to it. It's just so perfect
44:44 so what you're talking about Is wake turbulence. Wake turbulence is two columns of air that are rotating and defending slowly. so when the plane Gavin was on turned violently it had hit the column of air that then rotated the aircraft violently.
Burnie and Gus talking about George Kastanza at the end, one of my all-time favorite George moments was when he was getting married and was picking out wedding invitations, and the lady at the counter brings out a binder of different designs and says they're all ordered from most expensive to least expensive, and he immediately jumps to the back of the book without hesitation, just such a perfect moment for him.
The funny part about the people complaining that the cymbal was upside down to Gavin is that you can totally put them upside down to get a different sound and manny drummers do that.
Only one insignificant correction Burnie that no one will care about but here it is. The woman wasn't throwing dirty nappies into a well. She through the cholera infected fecal matter of the child (
Note to self: skip first minute of every video podcast since it's nothing but ads. I am a sponsor, I just choose to watch it on RUclips at a time convenient to me. No need to blast it to me every video.
For what it's worth, the cymbal in the slow-mo video Gavin mentioned was mounted the correct way, with the bell of the cymbal pointing up. It just that type of cymbal is mostly played flipped upside down otherwise the lip he mentions would absolutely shred your sticks.
I just like listening to Gus and Bernie talk to each other. I don't really care who else is on the podcast, but as long as those two are on then I'm happy.
I'm actually so happy because the subjects that I am currently doing at school made this podcast relatable to what I have been learning, so I actually know what you guys were talking about! Also great barrier reef has 60% of its coral bleached, which is when the temperatures in the ocean heat up so much (it may only be a few degrees) that the algae that live in the coral that provide them with food/energy die. This essentially causes the coral to starve to death. :(
Airline story around 43:00: I once experienced this in a commuter airplane that followed a large airliner too closely at takeoff. I'm already a nervous flier and I *know* I wasn't in *really* serious danger, but it still scared me bad enough that I gasped and swore loudly as I grabbed the headrest of the seat in front of me. I don't think I'm ever flying on a commuter airline again - not because that experience was particularly dangerous, but it was *so* unpleasant I can't imagine exposing myself to that risk again.
I recently had the experience of hearing the "Too low terrain, pull up" alarm. I almost shat myself before realising it was just because we were flying low over the crest of a mountain on approach.
the London heat map was a huge thing from my middle school and high school bio classes, at least one lab per year per bio class based on that study back then...
Current TCAS resolution advisories do not provide lateral guidance for traffic avoidance. Also, what they experienced is called wake turbulence. It's generated from the production of lift by the wings. It is influenced by a multitude of factors, but a general rule of thumb is that is is worse behind heavier, slower aircraft (because when it is heavy, it us produce more lift to fly, and when it is slow, it is on the back side of the power curve, thus requiring more lift to counteract the induced drag created by the increased pitch angle and lift).
Chocolate milk is great for sports recovery! Seriously, after a hard workout, you should definitely drink whole chocolate milk, you will feel so much better the next day.
chocolate milk is great after a workout but regular milk is better because you are cutting out the sugar because regular milk already gives you 9 grams of protein in each serving
DizKord1600 I meant as in more shows not how good it was. Think about Lazer Team they needed more money to make that and with more money they can make more movies I'm not on about how good it is because it's always been good and that's not something money can do
To be fair to Gavin, I live in Canada, I often check your sponsors to see if they have any specials relating to my province, and they usual don't. So this does save me some time, as small as that is.
+KrystalWolf24 Coral live in symbiosis with algae (zooxanthellae), that photosynthesize and in turn provide food for the coral (glucose produced from photosynthesis). Climate change is causing the oceans temperatures to increase, which in turn disrupts the relationship between the coral and the algae. The coral then dispel the algae which we see as a change in color from colors like green and brown to white (bleaching). The algae lose their home and the coral lose their food source, then they die.
Watched that bulldozer battle video. Couldn't help but think that if it had happened in Japan, the camera person would have been screaming into the microphone the whole time while recording the sidewalk.
+WelshGrey you're a dumbass. In the video they were talking about this royal family who were famous for inbreeding. And since inbreeding makes it very difficult for a genetic disease to not be passed through generations, hemophilia was a disease that was passed on from generation to generation since they didn't stop inbreeding. This guy is just pointing out that he has hemophilia. It does not mean that he is inbred. Although I don't understand how they are still alive since hemophilia is a very harmful disease.
"I wear womens shorts, because they're shorter and show off my thighs" (paraphrasing) And thats when Blaine made sure he never got invited to another podcast
' I would rather kill sealife than be inconvenienced opening beer' I don't share his view but still find it funny gotta love a bit of classic Gus on Wednesday
Anyone else cringe after Blaine tells one of his stories and then lack of reaction by the crew just causes him to backtrack and apologise. It hurts so much to see his confidence crushed.
I always wait for a moment that makes me laugh before liking the podcast. This time, "That means I used my legs slightly faster than walking." definitely won.

+Jhawk 163 Quick reality check: First rule, solar panels can only convert light into energy if they absorb the light. Second rule, light that hits any object either reflects off, passes through, or is absorbed. So, if we make solar panel windows, they'll have to block a lot of light from either being reflected off or transmitted through the window. Sounds a lot more like a wall than an window to me. Also, whenever energy is absorbed by the panels, only some of it is made into electricity, and the rest of it turns to heat. A major part of controlling the temperature of modern buildings is rejecting and reflecting as much light as is possible. If we start intentionally absorbing a lot of energy in the building skin, it'll heat up and increase the load on the cooling system. Whether that increase in energy use will be more than the energy produced by the solar panels, I don't know, but it'll at least cut into the solar panel benefits. Who knows. Maybe the math works out and all of our new skyscrapers will look wildly different from now on.
Minimation starts at 1:23:25.

I love this podcast because whenever I'm typing a paper or working in something I'll just turn this on in the background and semi listen to it. It's just so perfect
+Eric Manning That's exactly what I'm doing right now.
omg me too!
I listen on car rides
44:44 so what you're talking about Is wake turbulence. Wake turbulence is two columns of air that are rotating and defending slowly. so when the plane Gavin was on turned violently it had hit the column of air that then rotated the aircraft violently.
The official definition of running - Using your legs slightly faster than walking.

Gavin is on the podcast more than he is in the AH office
Only one insignificant correction Burnie that no one will care about but here it is. The woman wasn't throwing dirty nappies into a well. She through the cholera infected fecal matter of the child (
Cade Mathews Yes yes I did.
There's a great Extra History episode on it too if you want a more in depth story ;)
For the "million dollars but" card game you guys should write on the card who at the company came up the idea that's printed on it :)

For what it's worth, the cymbal in the slow-mo video Gavin mentioned was mounted the correct way, with the bell of the cymbal pointing up. It just that type of cymbal is mostly played flipped upside down otherwise the lip he mentions would absolutely shred your sticks.

1:12:15 gus' comment to gavin's story somehow was the funniest thing ever
+Falva Retti YAASSS!! The only moment in this podcast that made me laugh out loud
I love the minute of footage of Broadcast at the end, every week. Always funny to see the guy (Patrick?) dancing to the theme in his chair.
The bit about the tomatoes is probably the most British sounding thing Gavin has said in 3 years
if anyone is just tunning in to the podcast, just go to 1:04:30....
Best one liner ever....
I get it: 6 tow trucks are towing each other. The key word is the LACK of "in a line" the default would be in a circle. My brain does think like Gav

Some of us very much appreciate your thoroughness when it comes to you sharing information!
that knife comment from Gus omg
the London heat map was a huge thing from my middle school and high school bio classes, at least one lab per year per bio class based on that study back then...
Man, Blaine is looking jacked.
He doesn't look like Jack at all. lololol.
+Daniel Gray lolololololol

okay, so the songs played at the end of the podcast. Is there a place that we can actually download them?
I want a podcast that is Gus Sorola plus three other people named Gus.
I'm Gus, Gus, Gus, Gus, and Gus.
+Lol Haha there would be 9 call outs for Gus (1),Gus(2), Gus(3),Gus(4),Gus (1),Gus(2), Gus(3),Gus(4),Gus(1) = So much Gus!
+Lol Haha And Gus!

Love that they're doing one of the best thanksgiving horror films for the theater mode episode....So good.
Dear lord Blaine just painted that shirt on today. I have to asked, how does he even take something that tight off without ripping it to shreds?
+DreamcastGuy I'm not entirely convinced he doesn't just rip all of his shirts off. Seems like something he would do, to be honest.
+SphericThor1 Im ok with that.
+DreamcastGuy This is my kinda comment thread
that pizza hut bit actually convinced me to buy a dominos
Nice.
Same.
Same.
I can vibe with that.
Same.
Fun fact: the guy who did the broad street pump outbreak map was named John Snow and is considered the father of epidemiology

To be fair to Gavin, I live in Canada, I often check your sponsors to see if they have any specials relating to my province, and they usual don't. So this does save me some time, as small as that is.
Christ, every time Blaine is on I spend the entire Podcast shaking my head.
The beginning was perfect and sums up why I love RT
+KrystalWolf24 Coral live in symbiosis with algae (zooxanthellae), that photosynthesize and in turn provide food for the coral (glucose produced from photosynthesis). Yo, brainsplosion
tell me what you think:
RT Poker Podcast, or some other tabletop game
Pretty much the shining example of why I don't use adblock when the video itself has like 6 built in ads, don't need anymore.
Get RUclips red it's great
+Drew Hayward he's talking about too many sponsors.
Chocolate milk is a great recovery drink. Dont you dis it!
These podcasts make me wanna hang out with you guys so much! Plus, Blaine's awkwardness is my favourite thing 😂
im doing my part to fight overpopulation.. im a 29 year old virgin
One more year and you will be a wizard
11 more and you can make another movie!

I used to think Blaine was just a muscle-head kind of jock, but actually he's just just the biggest, buffest dork and I love him.
Is Bernie turning into Walter from Jeff Dunham

Hearing Gus say "chocolate-y goodness" always makes me smirk.
Aah Burnie made me remember Sabrina the Teenage Witch, thanks Burnie.
26:44 - 27:17 is basically the villain motive for Kingsman
Gavin Creeping behind the curtain lol
It's funny that they went from game of thrones to the Broad Street pump, since the name of the doctor that did the pump survey was John Snow.
I'm fighting over population by not having kids. More money to myself, more time, and to not bring a child into this world that's falling apart.
Same.
it aint really falling apart we are doing fine lol
+phantom 2012 Keep telling yourself that, so you can sleep at night.
the song at the end is my favorite end podcast song now
"i still havent eaten ethiopian food" Neither have they lol
You went there xD
The cholera guy in London was John Snow... So good transition guys
Blaine doesn't do leg day.
Watched that bulldozer battle video. Couldn't help but think that if it had happened in Japan, the camera person would have been screaming into the microphone the whole time while recording the sidewalk.
You heard it here on RT Podcast #373, Gus wants a kid.
Burnie talking about "Covad" broke my brain.
when is the new set being introduced???
+cody thompson next week i think :)
+Linkarr they said that 2 weeks ago lol
that credits song made my computer burst into flames
Still no linkdump :(
+Winston Gates go to the rt site.
No, Burnie definitely don't stop responding. It really makes someone's day when you just reply to them.
Lmao I have haemophilia factor 9 deficiency, didn't expect to hear a mention of it on the podcast
R u inbred
hahaha, you have no idea what it is do you
ThisIsNotMyID withJaveable Bro it's what they said in the podcast, stop getting in a hissy fit about it, you're making yourself sound inbred.
+WelshGrey you're a dumbass. In the video they were talking about this royal family who were famous for inbreeding. +CC3Gladiator I know all that, it was a joke. Are you people serious?
Love Gus's laptop cover!
It makes you wonder why Lego hasn't sold a kit to make your own.
That outro tho. B1
I like Gus's cover for his laptop.
"I wear womens shorts, because they're shorter and show off my thighs" (paraphrasing)
And thats when Blaine made sure he never got invited to another podcast
Oh wow, he made it worse 30 seconds later with his sitcom knowledge xD.
I need to remember about the lighting they have on the set... I keep thinking that the shadows from the mics are sweat patches.
the best team would be geoff and brandon
weird... They talked about game of thrones right before burnie mentioned the cholera case in London. The dude who did that was called John Snow
About to say that.
You don't mess with Apple Pie ; ;
Guy triple dips and touches some of the brownies. What an animal...
Is it just me or has Blaine gotten even bigger?
+Laurence fleri I think you're right.
He dosent were t- shirts to much maybe it's because we haven't seen this much of him to often
Well he is constantly working out out so yes most likely he has gotten more muscle
Gainz.
No he didn't get bigger. His shirts got smaller.
It hurts me to see him backtrack like that cuz he never tells the damn story
I always wait for a moment that makes me laugh before liking the podcast. This time, "That means I used my legs slightly faster than walking." definitely won.
Gavin is wrong in this case. Even if you have 2 tuna left. You can't guarantee that you'll have enough genetic variance for a healthy population.
Or you could have two females. And no, life does not find a way. I don't care what Jurassic Park says.
The beginning of this one was golden.
Can't wait for Donald trump to buy RT so he can make RoosterTeeth great again
+Tom Pendragon TRIGGERED
Yo that Gus song at the end was dope lol
So...who else wipes standing up?
+TheSaintslive me.
I don't but I feel for you. Hand or balls hits the water one to many times so you just give up
me
+Darkos Ramains I've never not stood up while wiping. I mean you kind of have to stand a little the get your hand under your ass.
+Tim Edmunds Indeed, but having a big hand and trying to get it under there is just impossible
That attempted high five at 8:20 hurt my heart.
Blaine's clothes look 2 sizes too small.
Yeah, I was mirin dat ass when he went to get pizza.
+Caleb Marshall That's just blane
that's just Blaine wrong
I think it's for the abs.
You mentioned the cholera outbreak fun fact: the dude you mentioned that mapped all of that, his name is John Snow.
Yavin 4 is a moon, not a planet. BLAINE'S NOT A REAL STAR WARS FAN!!
+LoganTrz Yavin 4 is the 4th moon of the planet Yavin. Think about it dude
I'm really happy that the podcast is doing well , BUT GOD DAMN it seems like there are so many ads for sponsors now
Fishing at triple the amount we need? We don't need to fish at all...
But...its food bruh
unnecessary food bruh
+James Daniels From someone who thinks it's bad that India is getting clean energy, can you expect any better?
I thought that fish are healthy for you because they have omega-3 fatty acids that aren't common in most other foods?
Pongze Lor Walnuts and flax seeds are good sources but there is a little more to it than that. ALA is common form of Omega-3 and can be converted by your body into EPA and (much less effiently) DHA.

+Nicky Wilkinson was skimming through all the comments and saw this....
best laugh ive had all day
+a zergling same
I could just see Gus' eye twitching when Blaine was eating pizza
Blaine, you need a bigger shirt.
Calling it! Burnie and Ashley are the next ones out of The Amazing Race
