That's the type of guy who ends up eventually killing people while driving because he's been enabled his entire life. It's sad that mom cannot see the bigger picture and encourage her son to take responsibility.

Like DUI's, almost all are let go given a Summons. Most Depts going this way, saves time and money not having to watch them and transporting to Jail. Most time they dont serve time anyway, long as no other Convictions these 2 wont serve any, Fine and worst case Community Service. DUI will likely not loose Licence, will have the interlink in his car and few addiction classes... Not agreeing, can tell Mom, Son and Dad all use to getting their way

Some cops are really strict about out that and take people’s phones while investigating, but too many let them keep them

Normally whoever they're detaining is not allowed to use the phone because they call people to come and help them.! It's a cop safety issue. That's why the mom was allowed - because she wasn't the suspect.

I was going on a walk at around 10 PM at night and my neighbor in my apartment complex was drunk and sideswiped a parked car right next to me as I began my walk (on her way to work as SECURITY GUARD to boot, in her security coat and all lol!)...
It wasn’t nearly as bad as this accident, it was just a fender bender, but with her dumb luck, there was actually someone sitting in the parked car at the time, in the middle of crying their eyes out with a heated conversation on their cell phone at the time lol.
She immediately called the cops and went into the ambulance just because of her drama with already being in tears before the side swipe ever happened… She wasn’t hurt at all and she made that very clear to me. Everything about it was just so fucking stupid.
That intersection is dangerous.. coming out of Rogers Park playground,you can barely see cars coming down from CoalpitHill Rd. I don’t get why he was going what seemed like 50mph.. I guess being that wasted; it’s crazy! Officer Perkins is elite 😉

Mommy has saved him far too many times for it to be no big deal to show up half way through, pretend to have been in the vehicle, have the kindness of the people who's car got smashed the most, take the time and resources of the EMT's because she wasn't hurt (as a retired EMT that urks me to no end), then jumps in telling him not to say anything and has an attorney at the ready like it's no big deal. Mommy should have been fully arrested, not just given a piece of paper as a slap on the wrist. Maybe she'd stop saving him and force him to get help.

I very rarely comment on these videos, but this was beyond disgusting, mom is a disgrace to those of us who have tried to raise or sons to be men, the good and the bad, she should have been arrested for interfering, lying, wasting valuable resources.
