I just love all of the hidden character references that are shown throughout this volume. You have lion king characters, you got the back of Mr.Toad and my personal favorite: you got PUSS IN BOOTS. I’m really glad that you are covering this series because outside of the video game, this series is hardly mentioned and that just isn’t fair. The idea of this comic is (as far as I know) an original idea that is done so well. Have a good day, bye.
Years ago, I was on the bus and two old ladies behind me were talking about the recent showing of the film Animal Farm. "I liked it..." one said "but I much preferred the film 'Babe' ". This story seems to be a indirect response with references to Pig in the City 😂 xxx
@@lamo1724 Lol, yes there are a few of them to easily mix-up, also including Charlotte's Web! I too, preferred the film "Babe" Part 1 to its 2nd film of "Pig in the City" 😄 ....Looks like I will have to go and re-watch Babe too (and the sweet singing mice) after re-reading the book, "Animal Farm", that is. (Thanks for the reminder.) ☺
Thank you so much for doing these. Its very entertaining and easy to understand. I was from watching your preacher and the boys and sandman. So this one is gonna be so good! Keep up the goodwork!
It's On!! to the very bottom with this compilation ballad of literary archetypes within this mundane world!! Trully Wild!! What a savagery episode, let's go for more!!
Wow, thanks for just posting the next Fables book a week early, on top of this one! Going to go watch it now...Sure beats watching the boring Superbowl! 😄
The Farm rebelled against Nothing. They were fairly separate from the real-world fable's and could have simply agreed they wanted to go fight. Snow White and the real-world could have said no, and the Farm could have voted against it and said "No! we are taking our home back with or without you" were the real-world Fable's willing to kill their friends over wanting to fight the Adversary
I have an explanation. The animal fables needed resources (e.g. magical items and other stuff) that were only available in the New York City Fabletown business office, thus they needed to take it over. They also hoped to recruit other human Fables that might be loyal to their cause but wouldn’t join them if it was against the rules of the current official Fabletown government (King Cole / Snow White).
Agreed, but Snow White is making weapons for them now, after the insurrection. Bringing up that they wanted to fight and had the plan to make these weapons would have started the conversation and ended the same without beheading's. Democracy, it's not perfect but it's the best one we got...But that might be the point of the Ark lol
Since popularity makes the fables unkillable, wouldn't that mean Shere Khan would also survive his wounds? Jungle Book is just as popular as Snow White.
I don’t think popularity makes them unkillable, but rather very very hard to kill. This seems to be the case when a very well known character gets killed later on. They take a huge amount of damage before they finally die.
Danny, i need an expiation. they say that the more popular the fable the longer they live or harder they are to kill. it seems that its a rule only based on the writers or just plot armor at best. given that no matter what the fables are not immortal, ie the three little pigs die from getting heads cut off still kill them. i will argue that despite TTLP being one of the most popular fables ever getting head removed isnt sans highlander rules. ok ill relent immortality but snow white getting a convertible head and survives is straight up plot armor. furthermore im equally confused how she survived and shere khan could be dispatched so easily. the jungle book is a massive fable with many retellings and followings both being written in the 1800s. is the deadpool powers given based on character likeability? on a side note, i originally had a beef with how bagheera being portrayed as a villain trying to end the fox but i suppose the same reason he felt apathy for mowgli would give him the same reason to resent the farm. all griping aside, i liked looking at the sub characters on both sides of the farm and which side they was on like the three blind mice and the playing cards. good read im happily awating next weeks installment.
It is definitely plot armor how some survive. I would argue Snow White is maybe one of the top 5 most popular Fable characters though, so I could see her taking a lot to kill. Everyone knows who Snow White is and roughly what her story is. Even though it is plot armor, I think it is fun plot armor, it makes all the Fables into superheroes in a way, who can fight and take some damage, but they do have to be able to die to give them stakes.
The only good characterization is Biggsby wolf. The rest just seem like different unlikable characters. But still, Nice comic!!! They made Prince Charming a better character here. That is GREAT !!!
You are crushing it, I’m really enjoying this series.
Goldilocks banging bear?? Didn't think I'd hear about that today lol

The old woman who lived in a shoe and her kids are all packing heat. This comic is nuts.
This is such a great story! This volume has inspired me to go re-read the Animal Farm book by G. Orwell!

A fables movie series would be a dream come true.
If not a TV series, perhaps something in the vain of The Magicians.
wait I came from wolf among us game, now knowing the comic I say it is wayy better than I thought.
Excellent story teller. Applauds all around
