MJ. I was first blown away by your other-world visuals. No matter the music video, concept, or other presentation of yourselves, you always looked exactly like an angel to me. You always appeared so innocent and gentle to the world around you. Just as quickly, though, I fell head over heels in love with your musicality and your stage presence. I can easily say that I’ve never heard a singing voice quite as vibrant and clear as yours. You have one of the most powerful voices I’ve ever heard, and it stunned me the moment I first heard it. No matter if you’re executing a choreography, are asked to sing on the spot, or are caught up in any other situation, your vocals are always stable and unbelievably solid. I knew when I heard you that I had come across someone who was born with a natural singing voice and had an understanding of singing in a way that is different than others. There is innocence and lightness in your voice; and at the same time, it is raw and full of so much emotion. Your range knows no limits and when you are singing, you can truly be yourself. It is difficult to describe your voice because it one of the most charming aspects about you and surely, there will never be another with a voice like yours. In addition to sing in whatever manner you please, you also can tackle any genre that you are fixated on. You are always evolving and your voice adapts to whatever shape you want it to take. I’ve not seen another performer dance with as much fun as you. No matter the choreography, you always stand out by perfectly embodying each concept. Not only do your master each choreography at any intensity level perfectly, you make it your own by dancing with so much feeling. Your moves are light and airy, and you are very smooth on your feet. You always leave us with a way to remember each performance in its own special way. You put so much care into each of your choreographies, and make each of them unique. You were meant to be on the stage because it is where you shine most. You really know how to speak to your audience and give them what they will love and cherish for the rest of their lives. Not only have you discovered your callings but you have used it to heal others. Just as I love how colorful you are on stage, I love your personality offstage as well. Of course, it is inevitable for me to say that the first quality I noticed in you was your warming and contagious smile. I was so attracted to your infectious laughter and the beam that seems to always radiate your face. Wherever you are, happiness is bound to ensue. Never had I felt so instantly and naturally optimistic upon just meeting someone. Not only do you harness it, but you manage to share it with those around you. The light that you represent in this world is irreplaceable. I didn’t take me long to realize what you mean to your members and the everlasting impact that you’ve obviously had on them. Astro is such a happy group, and you are the reason behind this. You are their happiness and their laughter when they can’t feel it. I can see the sheer relaxation and comfort that they have just having you in their presence. There is no greater way to show your love for another person, then to help them enjoy their own life. You have this ability to see the good in people, and you know what makes them feel the greatest in their own skin. I know that your members have somebody to hold on to for life, and they can always turn to you. You are a very healing and uplifting person to be around, and I know that your members understand this more than anybody. You give them nothing but love and I know they continue to improve and grow keeping that in their hearts at all times. I know they will keep every second with them and use it to remind them, in the future, that there is someone who will always stand by their side. You are the greatest friend and brother that they can have, and I know they will carry the times spent with you for the rest of their lives. I want to personally thank your parents and family for raising you and helping you to become someone who can spread happiness so easily. I know that your family is so important to you and you’ve braved so much to be able to do what you are doing today. I hope you know at all times that your parents couldn't be prouder of you for all that you've accomplished. They are always going to be your number one supporters, so I hope that you always keep them in mind. They come before us, and because they are such a big part of you, as Aroha we keep them in our hearts as you do. We thank them sincerely for helping you to be on the path you are on today. Kim Myung-Jun, you have blanketed your Aroha with a type of love that only you can give for years now. We never expect you to give us so much of yourself but you dedicate so much to making sure we’re happy and enjoying the content that you’re releasing. Our happiness seems to come first for you, and you are willing to give up your own just to ensure that we have some. It is the greatest feeling in the world knowing that we have you to rely on any time we need you. You are enough for us to have enough happiness for a lifetime. Without you, our dark days would be unbearable and we wouldn’t know how to pick ourselves back up when life gets hard. You teach your Aroha every day how to find positivity out of any situation. I can’t let another moment of your life pass by without speaking on behalf of all Aroha and letting you know that you are the reason this world has sunshine. The world is such a safer, more gentle and understanding place because of you. You go above and beyond and do more than we could ever ask or expect of you. Just being able to smile is enough these days when it is so hard to do so, but you make sure your Aroha are okay even when they have to deal with the harsh realities of the world right now. You are so sincere and genuine that the love and respect you have in your heart is enough to empower every single Aroha for as long as they need it.
