Ill be interested to see how your baby leaf production goes. I am loving that adventure as I grow in large drip trays at about waist high so its pretty easy and only an issue with some poor seed quality so far. The sunflowers and barley are looking lush and ready now. They are all in the brassica walk in frame. We took off the old polytunnel polythene and partly covered just the roof with it. Much of the table structures are in there while we finish of re-doing the old polytunnel with half polythene and half mesh. The plant table have come in handy to house the microgreens/baby leaves and trays of seedlings for which I never have enough space.
Very helpful information about each crop. Always looking forward for brief notes (when and why) as a guide to adjust to my growing zone (US, 6b), while learning something new. Will be trying growing peas for the first time in fall :) Great video. Thank you!
Thanks Natalia, knowing how to handle different growing zones is a bit of a challenge when you grow the way I do. It's certainly not as easy as just adjusting for the last frost date, as under cover, light levels matter much more, especially for hardy crops. I wish I had a solution to make it easier for you! : All the best - Steve
The links and showing all the garden items you use wil be so useful. I trust your reviews and opinions as you go for quality but not of prices that make no sense when saving money growing your own. I just got a delivery of 10 more hanging 'baskets' you list on Amazon. My first lot are churning out gluts of strawberries in the greenhouse and polytunnel whilst the outdoor bed still has green berries. I will get more for the other polytunnel we are doing up for autumn and winter. Perhaps they can house lettuce and claytonia. From this new lot of baskets, I am hoping to have a good crop from hanging cucumbers I sowed this week. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the feedback Lynn! I do like baskets, but I get lazy in summer and find it hard to keep on top of the watering. I get back to using them in August : All the best - Steve
@@SteveRichards well, we have a very long (150 foot) garden and a matching hose pipe not an allotment so it's easier for me as I have to water daily anyway. I use it as a chill time to watch, check and sort of slow down.
We tried it once in late spring and it wasn't great so I don't think it would be good in summer, Navara, Canasta and Riccia are my favourites for summer : All the best - Steve
Another great video Steve.
A lot of advices and useful information.
Thank you

The red cabbage make really great and successful baby leaves that can make a nice coleslaw or stir fry.
Ah, I might try that with some of my old red cabbage seeds

Hi Steve, with the 2 links b=above to airtable there are no pictures, great video as usual , Gwen
Seems to be working now Gwen, not sure what the problem was, but it wasn't at my end : All the best - Steve
Good show, cheers Steve. Any reasons you don't do Swede?
Just no takers in the family for it
Woah I did a double take there. I recognised the voice. But who is the stranger with no hat?
I was overheating
Yes, "Protected With" is useful information, but not super clear as an icon. Text would be more useful (e.g. fleece,Thermacrop, 1cm square net etc)
Thanks for that feedback, I've made that change and as you say, much clearer : All the best - Steve
Will Roxy grow well in Summer Steve?

@@SteveRichards okay, thank you.
@@SteveRichards I have lots of lettuce seeds but none of those. I think the Lobjoits were good in summer.
If you only get one get Navara, it's so great
👍👍👍👍
