Being around people like Mr. Zelmanov is very inspiring. That is why I think getting higher education is an amazing experience no matter what you learn. Just spending some time among professionals, people who love what they do can be life-changing.
There are those who know what they teach and those 'who can teach' what they know. And there's a world of difference between the two. That's the big problem, in my opinion.
I know that I not rly hated math, but how it was presentet to me. In the lower classes I rly loved math und also did some competitions but after my teacher changed and a rly strict unmotivated teacher took over I lost my interest in math. Luckily I found it back with 26 :D It is rly hard to study the basics again but it's rly interesting and beautiful when you see what you can do with math.
Fantastic I feel relieved maybe why we live on at rotation object with other rotation objects adjacent to force evolution is indeed only a mathematical subject and why AI will be next funny question. Truly fantastic interview in this era of great expansion of both mathematical but also physical and general life science explosion of understanding.
We should be teaching physics so much earlier and let the maths be taught through physics. But we need to break the generational issue: maths is a language and we teach language to babies but only the langauge the parents know. If the parents dont know maths, children will never learn it at home and by the time you get to school, its so much harder. We need to break that gap and encourage parents to learn maths.
"We should be teaching physics so much earlier and let the maths be taught through physics. " I found maths incredibly boring, It was on the same level as learning poems. I was thinking of it as something I had to do to get good grades. Then came physics and a teacher who started every new unit with experiments and it was just very obvious why you need maths.
not people hating maths, is math prof making people hate maths :'( their lectures simply compose of definition, theorem and proof then do your homework...
You have a point but does not prove 100%. Mathematical probability gives a very high probability for a god or higher entity - universe, universe with life and evolution to homo sapiens etc ( trillions and trillions to 1 etc)

It’s because of our wonderful educational system. If people wana learn something, they must learn it on their own.
