Hey, thx for shooting this video. I really liked seeing the comparison. I'm an R10 and awesome golf user myself. two comments if you if you shoot another head to head. 1/ I wonder if your R10 was pointed 3 degrees to the left. and if moved if you'd have seen the ball flight more closely follow the ST+ results. just a guess. 2/ would love to see the details page in Awesome Golf. I wonder how close the face-to-path numbers matched the ST+. In general the overall results looked great and the units are generally close (using the RCT ball).
Honestly the R10 is the only unit that is priced appropriately. The rest are out of control. As long as it picks up my shot shapes and is with in 5 yards I’m happy! I can use the range to really dial in my yardage.
You right, I sold mine and bought BLP very good, expensive, but yearly subscription kill me and return it. Now thinking buy r10 again . already have old skytrak great unit but r10 show me more info
@@JorgeMorales-do5pr I have no issues with mine. I do use RCT balls and I find the numbers to be pretty spot on.Just to give you a general idea. One day my numbers were completely off and I calibrated the unit and was thinking the R10 was messed up and I checked my ball and found it was cracked. I replaced it and the numbers were spot on. So the fact it could tell and showed the difference blew me away. I’ve taken it to the range and the only issues I had was with my wedges that were sky high .
Probably R10 was not aligned properly (left biased). Please use shot by shot details in Awesome Golf to compare club data. Great comparison, awaiting the next one with these units!
@@GolfersAuthority I own R10 + Awesome golf and thinking about upgrading (due to the lack of spin axis). It’s a great unit, but I think it is sometimes too far with the estimations and I’m not good enough to judge if my feel or R10 is wrong, especially when it comes to poorer shots (gear effect creates my confusion). It would be great if you keep the comparison series :)
Suggest checking the R10 alignment, & using the detailed view in Awesome Golf. R10 is more portable & cheaper, but requires more space. For most people, R10 is the right answer. I ordered the Skytrak+ solely to save space in my semi-open carport. I’ll keep the R10 to take to the range, & on the road.
@@GolfersAuthority - the R10 is a fantastic device which is the best choice for most golfers. If I didn’t have space constraints, I’d keep using it in lieu of the Skytrak+.
Thanks for the comparison, I had to return my R10, due to lack of enough room from unit to net. What about short game, chipping, pitching, putting? I know the R10 does not have putting, how about SkyTrak+ and how close are both units on short shots 20-30yds in? These shots make up 30% of sim play and 60% of my practice so for me it is vital the units provide good data to dial in the wedges.
I have not been able to test it for putting on the SkyTrak. However, for chipping it is super accurate and the Game Improvement plan software comes with skills assessment and the wedge matrix so you can dial in your clubs. It is honestly a ton of fun and I did a video on it today. Should be out in a week or so. What one are you leaning towards?
@@GolfersAuthority Trying to decide between BUSHNELL and SkyTrak+ Tried MLM2PRO but decided itt wasn’t for me. Two big data points currently get over looked/ or maybe combined into one. Club path and face angle to path are missing but Launch direction is there which is the result not the cause. Chipping Ian’s pitching is weak under 12 yds unless it is a flop shot, even the misses are plenty. Again some of that maybe be due too my hitting area not having adequate room as it is just over minimum. I really like the impact vision on the MLM2PRO but it doesn’t replace having the data. Now I am back to trying to save some more money so I can get a photometric based monitor :-( I’m not a fan of hitting into a proximity circle for a putting score but it certainly would speed up play so we’ll see what happens when deliveries start, I’m guessing there will be some price wars between these units for market share so maybe we all will win
Can you give us insight into when you’ll be able to test it outdoors? There seems to be tremendous interest in this topic from your last video and you are the only person releasing info on this new product 🙏🏻.
Could you please do a video on shot shape comparison for the mevo+ against higher end units? Really interested to know if it's a worthwhile upgrade from the r10.
Nice comparison. I think with the higher price of the SK+ you are buying peace of mind more than anything else. The R10 does get it right most of the time but sometimes it also gets it horribly wrong. Carry distance on the R10 is very good and backspin seems to be ok too if using the RCT ball. The problem is that golfers very rarely hit an OB by hitting the ball too far compared to slicing or hooking it OB. This is where I lose confidence in my R10. It is still however the best unit out there for the price and that's still good enough for me at my level. Once I become a single digit HC player I will consider spend a couple of thousand dollars in order to improve my game even more but that's not going to happen anytime soon I think. The MLM2Pro could exceed the R10 and be the best for that price range in the future but it seems to have too many connection issues and doesn't pick up short chip shots yet. Once it does I might consider buying that but the SK+ is just a bit too pricey for me. Does anyone know how the SK+ is able to measure club data accurately without stickers on the club face?
You said reliable club data. Did you compare to another LM that has club data to compare? Just curious how accurate it really is considering even Quad requires stickers. And these two are really not a great comparison due to price difference as it is huge. But appreciate you showing them. How is putting with Skytrak in sim play?
I have not been able to do sim play because I have an early release of the software and its not connected to 3rd party. I hope to be doing that soon. I just shot an Fllightscope X3 vs ST+ video this week, the club data was close if I can remember, face to path was so so. That should be coming out soon. What are your thoughts on the ST+

Great video. Would love to see a review of the BLP vs. Skytrak+ comparing accuracy, game improvement functionality, and simulator software courses and graphics.
Do you really need all those extra bells and whistles plus all the extraneous useless data with the SR+? Personally, I think the R10 provides all the data that the majority of us golfers require. Just my opinion.
You have better launch monitors…why would you compare the St to a r10?? R10 is a toy, a launch monitor at best but you can’t depend on shot shape at all as you show. That same facility probably has gc Hawk or uneekor overhead…how did the st+ do against them?
