bravo!! this is something so beneficial to women everywhere. I wear a size 32 g and can hardly find bras that are flattering or fit well in a price that is affordable. while so many women can make a quick run to target or h&m I never find bras there. this is amazing!

I'm the same size - yes making bras is the way to go!

I wear a 32 I or J as well! I have never actually met anyone irl that wears one even close though! So hello!! But I did just want to mention that I have been able to find some in these sizes on Amazon in recent years... just FYI❤

I'm here for the whole package, you're living the life Ive been trying to get to. Altho my passion is nutrition and herbs, and that's where my energy would go. Ive had nerve damage for 50 years, and sewing was beyond my ability. Ive tried,
But watching you run that machine
One stitch at a time was amazing, I could never be that coordinated.
You have a lovely message to share about quality in the self sufficient lifestyle, and it's important for ppl to see. I watch lots of homesteader channels, and at 60, I could never take on ALL that they do. I dont need the big house and all that.
So the quiet calmness you share is
Really a balm to someone in my position. Im grateful for the respite.

So glad you still make sewing videos even though you went viral for haircare.
I was wondering if you'd consider making "What's cheering me up" type video every quarter or so à la Hannah Louise Poston to show what's inspiring you or something like that.
    Love your work!!!

Super excited for this video, I relate so hard to the "unusual" size you mention in the beginning as a 42M. There's only one brand that has my size but the shape isn't perfect. Bra-making knowledge needs to be spread more!!

Hi Katherine. I bought a corset and I’m looking forward to wearing hopefully my body will like 🙏⭐️

Nothing like a classic silk top to feel
comfortably elegant- Great sponsor, another great video 😊

I also have an unusual bra size. What I have found is even with my strapless bra. If I add cross straps It will sometimes adjust the cup size to fit better. So if the cups aren't quite fitting as well it helps snug them to my body better.

Beautiful! I actually learned so much from Beverly Johnson's bramaking classes on Craftsy (she owns Bra Makers Supply). My last two were full of fit issues (I'm still wearing them as functional but hacked-up Frankenbras 😅), but all of her fit issue videos were so good, and my patterns are all adjusted correctly now. Also, gonna need details on that glorious iron. 🤩

Katherine I can see your channel and your design business growing bigger. I can see you producing custom designs for clients. I would love to be fitted for a moisture wicking corset to help my posture as I have a mild case of scoliosis and need some extra posture support. No wonder women from history who wore corsets/bras had lovely straight backs.

I always have to bend underwires so that they curve around my very cylindrical rib cage, or they bite into me directly under each breast. I’ve considered making my own bras, but I would still have to make the extra curve!

Were the underwires made as underwires or are they boning heat molded into the curve? I have different cup size breasts making it hard to find bras that work, so I decided to make my own, which brought me on my RUclips journey originally. Thank you for showing it and explaining it so clearly. Searching for bra instruction took me down the rabbit hole of stays and corsets, historic and history bounding garments, and now I’m obsessed!

Underwires made as underwires made of steel. They come in so many sizes. They are usually coated to prevent rusting during washing.

They are made as underwires. Thanks for your positive feedback!

The green blouse is beautiful. I do also have a hard time finding a bra that fits right, ever since my body changed after the birth of my son. Never been the same. Possibly never noticed because support was not as needed before then. My only thing is that I have always avoided bras with seams across the breast. I find the seams show through. Is there a trick to that? How do you not have the seams show?

    • @KatherineSewing
      @KatherineSewing  7 месяцев назад

Yes, it really depends on what your outer wardrobe is like - mine doesn't show seams so much as most of my clothes are woven fabric. I don't mind seams so much if they do show though.
