Those teachers are also the ones who tell their students to ignore their bigoted parents and, in the extreme, convey gender confusion and transitioning as solutions to their problems. In the DARE era the worst outcome would be fervently opposed to drugs and being a NARC. The modern example the worst case scenario involves bypassing parental consent and hormone therapy.

They probably don’t want to bring up the conflict due to the instant brainrot it brings out in some people in the west who can only view the world through black and white lenses.
Anyone that is Jewish can’t just say they support Israel or stand with their people anymore. They can’t even openly talk about what happened on October 7th and show sadness for Israelis citizens without being told they’re a piece of shit for not thinking of the Palestinians above all else. That’s “genocidal behavior”. If you’re not justifying Hamas’ actions in a twisted way and trying to constantly paint Israel as being the only baddies while spewing all the typical “Israel bad, Israel is committing genocide, Israel is doing ethnic cleansing, free Palestine, from the river to the sea, read Finkelstein, Palestinians are justified in their hate, Bin Laden was right, I don’t dislike Jews I am just against Zionism and no I won’t make the distinction between them for you, yadda yadda yadda” types of arguments, then you’re just _obviously_ a genocidal maniac that wants to kill children point blank and should be harassed for it, you monster.
It’s wild, really. Something so heinous that happened is now given excuses and even applauded by a bunch of suburban white young adults that are underhandedly throwing support to terrorists and believing every word they put out as gospel. Because radical politics wormed its way into gay subculture. Identity politics seeks to have every "oppressed" or legitimately oppressed groups under the same ideological umbrella. I always love seeing people defending stealing, sure maybe small petty theft, taking a soda or a snack might not be a huge deal when done every now and then, but when it becomes this blatantly clear it no longer is manageable by stores. I like to use the analogy of a group of people with sticks hitting someone until they pass away, sure most people can handle getting hit by a stick multiply times, but the damage adds up quickly and the same thing happens when stealing from stores, eventually they kill off the store and it is gone, everyone suffers from it. And then I love when people say mega corporations can foot the bill because they make billions, but if you look at per store income and expenses, why would anyone keep open a store that is in the red just because the other store are doing good?

I really appreciate most of your content. It has strong but nuanced opinions that treat the opposition seriously, even if it’s not necessarily respecting it.
These TikTok Tuesdays feel considerably more galvanized. I get it, it’s for fun and it’s easy content, but it’s starting to feel each-chambery. Less “let’s expose Dev to cringe” and more “let’s get Dev to validate our thoughts. Short form stuff like TikTok doesn’t allow for a lot of expression of nuance even though life is full of it, so I get that it’s an easy pit to fall into, but I like in your longer form videos that you try and empathize with the opposing perspective in an attempt to dismantle it. “I get it, but”. You finish videos with “I love you.” And you have consideration for people. Since these TikTok Tuesdays have been coming out, I’ve noticed less of that. It’s not huge, but it’s there. I’m worried it’s eating away at you for some reason or another.

That woman near the end who expresses her exasperation at people asking her about supporting terrorism sounds like a reasonable person who's unfortunately bought into the framing of the side that supports the terrorism. Lots of the accusations, eg: genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, arise from a perspective that only considers how Palestinians are treated by Israel and not the actions or attitudes of Palestinians towards Israel. This flows right along with people pointing to prison statistics and saying that it shows that society has it out for a particular ethnicity; ignoring that it has more to do with the actions of those individuals than their ethnicity.
Drop that kind of rhetoric and you can have sympathy for Palestinians and the various ways they're being cheated or harassed, while also acknowledging that their attitude towards Israel and Jews in general significantly contributes to the problem. Chances are you won't be seen as supporting terrorism if you can admit that most of Palestine does.

This is similar to how they often claim that Western countries have no culture. The hilarious truth is that they, more than anyone else, are so deeply mired in the thought and ideology of Western culture that they don't see it, they have completely universalized it as something absolute and unrelated to culture, and it's just everything ELSE that looks like "actual culture" to them while what is Western culture to them is just "normal".

I think that person probably means stuff like kink and whatnot. I.E. more vulgar aspects, versus weddings and dances (some anyway) which aren’t gratuitous. Plus, they’ll just appropriate things you listed as “for everyone” and not specifically straight people. Although you could add baby showers to that. Can’t exactly have a baby shower for a baby you _might_ be adopting, lol. It’s supposed to happen while you’re pregnant.

@@derrickcrowe3888 The sexuality in itself isn't "cool". You don't become interesting to someone else just because you are of a certain sexuality - however, sexuality is intrinsic to a lot of social interaction. Really, if the teacher meant to say "being straight isn't cringe when compared to homo - given that homo people seem to think being homo is interesting in itself - compare that to being striaght, where they actually put effort into seeming interesting, regardless of whether or not I agree that a particular thing they put forward happens to be interesting", then that would be fine.
But no, she tried to make it sound esoteric and philosphical big think, when really, all social interaction at that level is entirely subjective, so who the fuck cares. Right???

Regarding what you had to say around the 4:30 mark,
That isn't as true as you think it is, mate. It USED to be true when we were kids, absolutely. But this is different. This is an agenda that you benefit from. One that will make you special and exempt from various rules and expectations, or apply a special set uniquely to you that others 'must' abide. And kids are aware how some of this works in their favor, so they happily commit it to memory.
At least, this is what I've seen, anyway, in my dealing/working with kids today.

Has crime really gotten disproportionately worse, or is that a misperception related to the rise of smartphones & bodycams & social media? We're seeing all these minor (& major) crimes that wouldn't have merited a sentence in a 1990s' newspaper, caught on camera & uploaded, providing us with a torrent of fresh criminal incidents on a regular basis. It certainly has more impact than a local crime report, & undoubtably exerts its' influence on our opinions of the subject.

I'm just wondering 'aloud' if the constant exposure doesn't have a kind of cognitive amplifying effect, making things *seem* worse than they are. I've got no political or ideological agenda to push. Not with this specific question, anyway.
