I LOVE my Ypsopump. I was diagnosed back in the mid Seventies and still have nightmares about the glass and steel syringes that you had to keep in industrial spirit and boil wash prior to every injection with needles as thick as Canadian Redwood trees! Currently using a Freestyle Libre 2 sensor - I'm old enough to remember the chemistry set style Urine tests. Surprised I'm still alive after nearly 50 years being a diabetic. Looking forward to Libre 3 and the advantages of Closed Loop. Thank God for the N.H.S. 😊
Thank you so much for this video, after 32 years I’m finally opting for a pump and your video and advice has helped me and my husband feel more confident that this is the right decision. Thank you so much!
Hi, just saying your comment here resonates with me and my own experience. Went cyborg myself almost two years ago (T1-40yrs) and my control is far better now with the pump. You get or will get used to it. My time in target has improved from around 74% with multiple daily injections and using a CGM to 94.95% time in target. It actually works better than anything I can do alone. Best wishes.
Not thinking of changing from Tandem, but I love the feature of a 12-hour extended bolus! That is great as if I eat a piece of pizza at 5 pm, I need an extended bolus well into the night
Hi, can you do the test with the Apple Watch? Find out if the application is visible by the Apple Watch. That would be a great help to me. Thank you for everything you do
Very interesting, Thank you for all the time you spend with these types of presentations. I prefer, No Tubing, because I worked health care and in a medical emergency the tubing offers a lot of draw backs. That's my own opinion, and I do enjoy every presentation you share.
This happened to me, too. Dangling there inches away from the water in the bowl like a very expensive teabag! I now make it a rule never to check my pump anywhere near a toilet. It can wait. 🙄🚽
Dear Tom, Thank you very much for your clear and excellent explanation of this pump. I've been a diabetic from 1977 and has the same experience as Hummadruz wrote 2 wk ago. After seen your video's I now want to begin with pump therapie only if I can use the closed loop system. You explained that there is no iOS app jet, but can you tell me when it will come available? I am a real Apple fan and use now the FSLibre 2 sensor. Don't you also find it unbelievable that Apple with 2 CEO's (Steve Jobs & Tim Cook) with Diabetes doesn't be the first with a good working Mylife Ypsopump closed loop app? How can I let them know I am hungry for that app. Please help me?
I’m looking at switching to Ypso too but I was also told the app won’t work with iPhone 😢 does anyone know anything or is it only available with android?
As always, great video! I enjoy the features built into my tandem pump and I don't think I'd feel comfortable making the compromise. I was curious as to where you got the clip for the tandem pump? I've never seen one like that before.
Pretty nice pump. But I need the tubeless with the physical work I do. So omnipod for me. But great job on the video and thanks for all the diabetic info you always share.
Hi, I am very interested in using the YsoPump. Unfortunately, there is still no connection between the G7 and the Yso-Pump. Has anyone news about that?
A great video, many thanks. One question, where you mention there is no low insulin alert, can you put in a new reservoir without having to change the cannula? Just curious. Im not using the Ypso pump yet, but looking at options for when I can change from my current pump Tandem Control IQ in a few months, thanks.
Thanks for informative videos. The app for using the Ypsopump and sensor with your mobile phone is already awailable for android phones. Any idea when it will be ready for iOS (Iphone).
Thanks for this video. I'm in the UK and currently trying to decide whether to stay on the medtrum nano which I like for it's tube free and discreetness, or to use this pump as my DSN thinks I need to be on the closed loop system with my libre 3 for the hypos I have. Sugars always unstable and I tried the latest medtronic 780g punp but their sensor wouldn't work with me unfortunately and always failed within 2 days.
Great video, love your work. I'm in UK & about to switch to this Ypso pump with myLife Loop on a Galexy S10 (I know it's old 😅) & Dexcom G6. I'm wondering about phone battery life - as a dead phone will be so frustrating 😫 Have you any info on how much battery life this pump system will consume? Recently, I find Dexcom alone is using 25% of what I can get out of my battery - so I guess it's time to upgrade my phone as well 😖
At the moment Im on omnipod dash and libre 2 but going onto closed loop in the next few months on nhs and have been given the option of omnipod 5,t-slim and this one…..in your opinion which one is best at keeping sugar level stable and in range
can you see the bg result on the pump. I'm not keen on relying on my phone so it would be good to know if the bg result was on the phone. as i dont take my phone out running.
Thanks so much for this video. I am on MDI (used medtronic for a short while many years ago and it did not work for me). Now considering a pump again although wondering if you have any thoughts on the closed loop for those of us who find that dexcom is not entirely reliable. My G6 almost always has an incorrect reading after I have eaten - it shoots up way higher than my actual sugars and does the same on the way down. No amount of calibration fixes this issue. I'm not sure I can rely on closed loop with such inaccurate readings. Anyone else have this issue - how do u manage a pump in such situations?
Bonjour, j'aimerai passer sous Ypsopump et son application CAMaps pour la fonction boucle semi fermée mais elle est compatible sous IOS? Merci d'avance de votre réponse Cordialement
Hello @TypeOne Talks, When do you think YpsoPump will be reimbursed by French Social Security, please ? I'm looking at YP closely. Best regards, Ghyslain.
The algorithme is shitty especially with fat meal there is no good way. And sport. There is a sport mode but it just shut the microbolus even if you reach 330...
I'm new to T1D. Where do women who don't wear pants with pockets carry the pump? Sometimes I don't even wear pants at home...just underwear and a big t-shirt. :) What about in a bathing suit at the pool? I assume you have to detach it for swimming? Anything other than an omnipod seems like a pain for women, or am I missing something?
I used to shove my tubed accu-check insight pump in my bra. This is smaller than that one so it can fit quite easily in your bra. Other option for me was to wear a stretchy insulin pump leg band or belt.
Thank you. I’m not sure about the price as I was provided with this free of charge. I believe some other commenters here indicated the price. Hope that helps.
Does this do both basal and bolus ? Very informative but over here 🇬🇧 we’re just about using Libre 2. I had my annual check yesterday (HBA1c 55) and I mentioned Libre 3, my doctor hadn’t even heard about it. I watched your Dawn effect video earlier 👌🏼
Libre 3 is available on the nhs in certain circumstances, but not yet available to all type 1 diabetics. I believe it will be later in the year. It sounds like your diabetes consultant is not up to speed. I was offered the libre as soon as it was NICE approved, I had previously been paying for it. As someone else on this thread said - thank goodness for the NHS, as now retired, I would not be able to pay. Also as the NHS negotiate prices as a body, costs are far lower than most medical insurance styled health systems incur.
Update, I am going on this pump. Because I need a 300u pump, my Endocrinologist is going to put me on u200 insulin so it will last 3 days. Pump makers have to get off the "only use u100 insulin kick" Make sure you pay special attention to your settings and boluses. They should only be 50% of what you normally use because u200 is twice the potency.

After 33 years I'm in the sam position and leaning towards ypso over the omnipod. Curious to see if you respond and what type if pump you went with!

Never dropped the pump in the toilet but I would have of it wasn't connected to me. *Saved by the infusion set* 😂
Haha. That’s awesome!

Thanks a lot for this video! Trying to decide my next pump in the UK and this is exactly the kind of info I couldn't find elsewhere. 😁
I'm so happy to hear that! Good luck deciding. Let me know what you end up going for!

Is there any news on the horizon on when/if the ypso will be compatible with the G7?

Could the over-speedy insulin delivery problem be solved by giving every dose as a 15+ min extended bolus (timed appropriately)?
Great video, love your work.

which would you recommend between the t-slim pump or the Ypso pump?
is this also usable for Type 2 diabetes? My dad uses 1 injection of lantus a day.
Love this pump hardly notice I got it so small and easy to use bold print too xxx
Thank you for sharing! Happy to hear that!

I like to self insert my steel cannula with Tslim. Can I insert this one without the inserter?

I would look into Freestyle Libre 3 CGM. I believe one can use those sensors with this pump now, in addition to the Dexcom.
Heard about this pump at the hospital one of the patients wears one all i know its very cheap to buy but was unsure of the price.
It’s about $800 here in Canada compared to $5000 for some others
This pump was mentioned at my visit to the hospital sounds quite good and apparently cheap
Where do you get them?
@@theresamelvin60 my endocrine doctor got it for me.
Man I love these
My son is getting his ypsopump in two weeks, now still using Omnipod Eros😅
im going to start my first cgm and was wondering what adhesive do you recommend for dexcom g6
what do you think of the t slim x2 pump?
Bonjour, j'aimerai passer sous Ypsopump et son application CAMaps pour la fonction boucle semi fermée mais elle est compatible sous IOS?

What is the insulin dose of Fiasp this pump can deliver once?
Hello @TypeOne Talks, When do you think YpsoPump will be reimbursed by French Social Security, please ?

Does the pump work with a sensor and an IOS device? (Iphone)
Can you use the pump with iphone? People told me that yo use it you need android if not it is Only manual use
How can I buy one if I'm in the USA please? Nothing here is good
Where can i buy oue?
Is this available in the U.S. ?
Is this pump coming to the US market?
What's your thoughts on the newest MiniMed pump system 780G? I didn't see any reviews on Medtronic products!?!

any review about medtronic 780g?
The 780g is so big and clunky.

I have never used a pump before. Would you recommend to do it?
I’ve been on a pump for the last 26 years. Prefer it over MDI, especially now with AID options.
what's the cost in UK?
2:24 What does he mean
I'm in Tanzania how can I get it
Not sure to be honest. I have no knowledge of that market.
Greenholt Crest
does it work with ios now ?
Not yet. It seems they will be pushing this to 2024 based on my latest info.

Can you have clips Vietnamese please I don’t understand what you said
You should try for diabetic cure option and try to make video for cheaper treatment for diabetes
