I was backstage at the New York show a couple months ago. I had a chance to talk with Henrik the Bass player and Aron the Drummer. Henrik told me that Aron writes most of the bass parts. Next level musicians. As of 2019 Qunicy Jones was Dirty Loops manager.

I wonder if they miss their home planet. I just got into these guys, and I'm blown away! Master musicians loving what they do!

They did work with David Foster for their first album, Loopified, that ws released in 2014, so it's probably not a coincidence that you could hear some of his style in this. :)

So glad you are sliding into the rabbit hole! Wonderful to hear your analysis and surprised amazement. ”The missing guitar” part was gold.
I can’t imagine you not doing another DL reaction like this. I sincerely hope you do.
Impressive that you mentioned David Foster!

They toured with David Foster a while back. Also, the new video/song they just released have Henrik literally doing the guitar solos..... Henrik van Halen :)

One of the musicians participating on many Dirty Loops tracks is Andreas Ekstedt, a Swedish percussionist as well as physicist.
One of the theories he’s been dealing with involves ‘two-loop thermal loops’. And whilst I have absolutely no idea what this means, I somehow make a connection between their band name and Andreas’ work.
Jonah mentioned that a friend had come up with that name….
The reaction and analysis of this track was awesome, I thought. Yes, they manage to make sophisticated sound easy. They twist your head off just for a few seconds, lead you completely down the garden path, and then put you right back into that groove, smiling and having the best time.
It’s a music video, and I’m sure that for the studio recording they’ve worked hard to get the writing, arranging, recording and mixing etc. right.
Dirty Loops have often restored faith into the future of music, for many listeners disillusioned by what’s passing as music these days.
Steely Dan has also often been mentioned as an influence, but then so was everything they’ve ever listened to, growing up.
I so hope that you both go further down that Loops journey 🙏
It’s a pleasure to listen to them with both of you 👍👍

No, the name comes from a friend of theirs named Danny Saucedo, and the band name have absolutely nothing to do with their music. They just needed a band name when they first got started, asked him for ideas and got a list with a few suggestions, and thought Dirty Loops sounded fun. No deep thoughts whatsoever there. :D

Yeah, it's obvious they are putting a ton of work into these songs, just a totally fantastic band.

@@lottawiklund8606 I knew the story and I've always thought of the band name as being the process of layering their songs - playing it in loops whilst adding layers until it's really dirty... 😂 I wonder if Danny felt the same way listening to their songs... 😂

One of the really good reaction channels. Very knowledgeable and connected to what´s happening! Next station: Snarky Puppy! They will blow your mind too I´m sure! As for starters do "Lingus" like millions of clicks here on YT did, you won´t be dissapointed ;-)

They've said that they were down to the wire and needed a name. Friends made suggestions, they assembled a list, and when they started crossing names off, Dirty Loops is the name that didn't lose.

Actually, as others now more about, Dirty Loops at least used to write something simple, and then "loopify" it. Then I guess they make sure it works great, so I suspect they both makes simple interesting, and advanced accessible.

I like this song a lot. Partly because some choruses sounds like one of the vocals is singing "F*ck You" instead of "Rock You". Try listening, trying to hear that, and you will! I enjoyed Hank's comments.🤔 DL fill the 'sound scape' superbly. Hank will come to love the name. Think "Dirty" in the sense of *_feeling_* funk and groove.
Please consider adding _Jacob Collier - All Night Long (Official Video)_ ruclips.net/video/nspqYGz-Z1s/видео.html to your list. Maybe also try _Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing - Jacob Collier_ ruclips.net/video/pvKUttYs5ow/видео.html made while he was a teenager.
    Best Wishes, Chaps. ☮
