I have mastered the single step using a cane but need illustration and demonstration of how to negotiate a FLIGHT of steps......8 or 9 at least. Like a basement staircase for example. Both going UP and coming DOWN the stairs. Please help.
I just need to clarify .... you're talking about using the cane in the dominant hand? I'm verifying, because my "MS" leg and foot drop impacts my right side. I am right handed. Based on dominant hand, I will switch my cane to my right hand holding the cane, stepping up with my left foot. It is the same process for down steps? This is HUGE. No one has ever explained this to me - in fact, I was told the exact opposite by people that were trying to be helpful. Thank you SO much for your videos. I just found your page yesterday and have already learned so much.
Your advices are really helpful especially for my husband who uses Cane now after being treated with chemotherapy his legs and knees are becoming weaker and weaker. They don't have enough strength at all! With this Cane it helps a little bit. But after he lost his balance while walking with the cane he fall to the ground!! So now we planned to buy a 2 n 1 Rollator combi wheelchair.
