Guru, the enlightener - is a person who spreads the light of wisdom around the world. The preaching of a Guru is always valuable and teaches us lessons of practical life. A Guru shows us the path of spirituality, kindness and honesty that leads to the upliftment of soul. A Guru can be any person in our life - parents, teachers or any one. But the main motto in a Guru's life is to spread knowledge. Hence Guru Purnima, the day of Sravana Purnima, has been marked as a significant day to understand the importance of spreading knowledge as well as spiritual enrichment.
