Love your videos! Nice job as always. Just a side note though. The Sutton slice was actually created by an artist named Peter Sutton... hence the name. It’s been around more than 20 years. Lisa Pavelka, who we all know is a very talented clay artist, promoted the technique and taught it on videos. I think she did that to promote her line of texture stamps and such. Just letting you know that because you are so gracious in always giving credit to other artists. I thought you’d want to know. Thanks for all of your wonderful videos.
Always good tutorials Samantha ❤️👍🏻beautiful Sutton slice I love the way you're always giving credit for tutorials to other polymer clay artists no one else does that you're so loyal 👍🏻
Hi Samantha, I've only just started to use clay, and found your tutorials by accident.... I'm so glad I did! You explain everything very clearly, and even if it doesn't quite work out, you don't flap about, just explain why it's happened and what to do to correct it. You are a great teacher and have really made me excited to get started, but I'm going to watch a few more tutorials before I get too carried away with one technique. Thank you so much. Hope you have a fabulous Christmas! X
Sutton Slice is my favorite technique but have not tried just two colors or the Skinner Blend being the slice. I will have to try, my to do list is getting longer and I might have to order a little more clay and one of Lisa's texture stamps. Thanks Samantha for sharing 💐💐💐
P.S. I am attempting a try with a Lisa Pavelka stamp and find that if you spray a bit of water behind the stamp onto the surface you are using, it helps to hold the stamp more firmly. (water on the surface, not the stamp!) Thanks again!

This technique is fab!! Samantha, what do you use to finish off a pendant for example? Varnish or resin or what? I would be worried that the raised bits might break off... Any advice on that? Thanks :-) Also, I really enjoy watching your videos, can't wait for the next one and the next one lol, you were born to teach :-)
If you stick the pieces onto the baking well enough before baking they should stay put. A gently tap all over the sheet will stick them down just fine. As for how you finish the piece, this is up to you. Resin will cover the piece and make it appear flat, while a varnish with allow it to keep it's raised pattern. It's really up to you what finish you want.
Hey Can I Plzz ask a question?😊 I would like to get the texture sheets from your video, but I can only find Lisa’s. And it cost more then I can afford with shipping fees. It costs a lot to get to Denmark. 😊 so can you send me a link or name to the other women you mentioned in the video. Or any that has good deep texture sheet. I thank you in advance. 😊

Hi Jessica, I'm very curious to know what type of camera you use to film your work as you videos are so clean and clear. Even when you do a close up.
Good afternoon. That is the full name of the stamp by Melanie and what is her last name please.thank you

Try using Souffle. I understand its softer.
It says 11 comments but I only see one lol. Great job as always
