Infinity lurker since launch...have an op icestorm box I did demo games with back in early n3 but the raveneye new morats finally properly pushed me over. Ive digested a lot of vaul content over the years via TTS and list building vids etc. I was a 40k podcaster a few years and really appreciate your honest inputs and your developed insights. Happy to finally start n4 proper. This was helpful as ever

I have watched this video several times now - many, many thanks for this extremely helpful overview! As I'm just getting into Infinity, this is priceless guidance. Just want to point out for other newbies that since the "Wildfire" set (recommended in the vid) is discontinued, you might want to go with the "Shasvastii Action Pack" instead. It comes with all troopers from the "Wildfire" and "Beyond Wildfire" sets (as far as I can tell). Of those, only the Gwailo is not featured in Vanilla Combined Army. Thanks again!

If I am not mistaken the Bit profile with upgrade of oblivion and trinity does not actually have normal hacking device. So it has ONLY oblivion and trinity?
Yeah, it was just a way for them to have her keep the repeater on Bit since they have been removing marker state repeaters. So, either you get cybermask/oblivion/trinity and no repeater on bit or oblivion/trinity and a repeater on bit. It is worth noting that she is still a hacker in both profiles even if she doesn't have a hacking device.
Recently got into TTS to get my fix thanks to a couple of your vids. I do think you made a mistake about the Cadmus when talking about "walking them on the table" since they have Combat Jump but not Parachutist, and in N4 Combat Jump is not a better Parachutist, they're completely separate
Great review....very timely as i am getting into the game. I want to do Onyx contact but Im not sure what to take to start. I want to keep to group so 10 orders. Im thinking Nourkias, Kodali, 2 Xeodron then im not sure. I cant get hold of the ikedrons at the moment
Are you sure 20 point bit and kiss has access to all basic hacking programs? It doesn't seem that way, as hacking device is not one of their items, and rules seem to say that some hackers can be granted programs without a device, which seems to be the case here.
Would you recommend the wildfire half of shasvasti over the shasvasti action pack? The pack includes the beyond wildfire models while changing the wildfire core.

I'm confused, talking about NOURKIAS you said that going isolate chain of command doesn't trigger, but under chain of command the second ballpoint sais "The player can only activate this Special Skill when the Lieutenant enters Isolated State or any Null State." How does it work?
Is the Seed Soldier's Camo Marker now S2? Since you said your enemy wouldn't suspect it and you could just use the chest mine on them, but if it hasn't changed, the camo marker is the only one in the game that is S0 andyou must let your enemy know that, right? The Cadmus cannot move onto the table from the side, btw, he only has combat jump, not parachutist.
I watched the entire video all the way through and I noticed you didn't cover all models. Are units like the GWAILOS not available in vanilla? I'm a brand new Infinity player and am starting with the Shasvastii Army Pack so the omission was particularly notable.

Bit doesnt have a hacking device in one of the profiles so only has access to oblivion and trinity, unless i missed something.

Thinking of buying the shasvastii starter instead the Wildfire box, since I need an O12 partner I dont have. Its basicaly the same, right?
It has the "Beyond Wildfire" Shasvastii miniatures too - the Caliban rocks!

Welp @VaulSC on your advice I picked up Avatar, Nourkias, Rasyat, Bit & Kiss along with a BUNCH of Shasvastii stuff. Should be fun exploring the game.
for starters do i need only 1 box of drone remotes? (2x drones) or 2 boxes? (4 drones)
(got 2 drones already but tempted to buy second box)
I absolutely went for two boxes for the variety of options - not every list, but quite a few.
