Everybody… this is the secret of music production. RIGHT HERE.
This skill is what is THEE most important if you are to make music that “works.”
Somehow the simple idea of not putting all kinds of sounds of the same register on top of eachother was not apparent… seems so obvious now, but.
What N amazing guy Nd channel, thank Kalani!!

There does seem to be a tendency for some people (including band directors, drum circle facilitators, etc) to put the weak players on the 'unimportant' instruments (usually the hand-held percussion), and a tendency for some players (beginners and professionals) to want to play the 'important' parts (usually the most showy drum). Without that strong pulse on the 'simple' instruments, things won't hold together or feel right. There are no unimportant parts! Excellent video - thanks!

Az an amatuer computer beat maker, drummer etc… I cant believe how important the timing is to a song.. I dont mean just keeping “a” beat either. I mean the weird subtleies of swing and rushing or dragging a beat… and the skill required to do THAT as well.
Im still getting solid, auto-pilot metronome conformity down. It’s magic… how we just get better by doing an activity everyday… but I am so grateful to have these activities and connections to one another!

What, no cowbell? We gotta have more cowbell. I have a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.
