Tamron is doing great with these G2 lenses. I would love to see them making a 35mm f1.4 for Sony some day. Cheers bro!
What an underrated lens... When everybody is talking about the G-m & new Sigma.
Looks good thinking about picking the Nikon version of this lens for a trip Ireland next year instead of the big Nikon Trinity lens to save some weight. Nice video!
Waiting for sigma dg dn to see how its compare
I need this Lens 🤩
My guyyyyyyy

Hey I have a quick question not related to this video but for many of your other videos. I often see you use zebras but I could never find a video where you properly explain how you use them for your exposure. I'm guessing they are not set to fully white as they show up and the picture you show has more of a soft white. Also I'm wondering if there will be some editing video again in the future as i really liked your older ones. Great channel, really a lot to learn here.
I found it: 5 Exposure Mistakes Photographers Make (easily fixed)
You talked about it here.
I was just about to comment!! Haha theres also another video I talk about it specifically for sony - lower limit 109%
@@MitchLally Thank you, for me on panasonic it seems to be 105% everything after will be blown out. I have used it before but I did set mine in the past to 95% I always have to brighten up my images a lot in post. I shoot mostly flash with darker backgrounds but I think I will stick to the 105% from now on, just so that I have to do less brightening in post.
By the way, will there be a black friday sale on your photography course? I saw that your presets are on sale right now.
Great video! I'll def pick the G1 cause it s cheaper and I already have the IBIS. I do video a lot (camera on a tripod) so the vc is really not a deal breaker. And also, handheld with VC and IBIS both on when panning is a no-no for me 😂
nice
Sony shooter here👋 but did yall hear Canons 24-105 2.8!!! Im nkt gonna lie, thats crazyyy. 2.8 throughout
It’s cool but its too big for me.
Some nice shots here and I love the focal length but the G1 was a dust magnet. Got my sensor dirty day 1 using it and returned it a few days later. Sounds like the issue has not been fixed unfortunatley. It's also quite sad that a $1,300 lens is now considered "budget", to go along with your $2,500 "budget" camera I guess. How did we as a community of photographers let it get to this point? This is the reason most everyone just uses their smartphones for photos these days and the camera industry is fading away fast. We need to stop buying this overpriced gear. All the photos produced by modern gear looks the same anyways these days. Over sharpened and sterile with zero character. No wonder so many have gone back to vintage lenses from the 70s and 80s. Sorry to be a downer.
