It's sound marvelous, lively and very clear to every section of the orchestra that makes soloist to be more confidential to what she's doing,,,,, Sabina always being a maestro on her playin'.
@@DressedForDrowningVivaldi did not compose any concertos for solo clarinet. He only composed concertos for clarinet and other instruments. As far as I know one for flute, clarinet, bassoon and another for 2 clarinets and 2 oboes. Some people have arranged some of his other concertos for clarinet but that was only recent.
This is a lovely piece and is idiomatically written for the clarinet. I played it years ago, with piano reduction, and it was very satisfying to play it.
Johann Stamitz was one of the heads of the Mannheim school, which was at the forefront of music in many domains, including the instrumentl one. The orchestra of Mannheim was one of the irst to use clarinets, which gave to Stamitz the idea to compose a concerto for this instrument. So, this concerto is one of the first to have been written, well before Mozart's. It is a very beautiful instrument; the warm sonority of the clarinet is well evidenced. Stamitz was a bohemian composer who settled in Germany, as many Bohemian composers at that time.

Jan Vaclav Stamitz represented Bohemian (Czech) culture & genre and was progressive musically in the then "modern" rococo style as émigré to Mannheim Germany. JS Bach, as great & also progressive as he was, composed in the "traditional" old German baroque style. I love'em both. & have often played their music on clarinet!
Well, Playing like her takes more than practice: It requires an Oehler System clarinet as well. Those of us that play on a French Klose adaptation of the German Boehm system don't easily understand this. But we should keep listening.
Petricia P., Please check in and share how you are doing with clarinet. [I realize you posted 3 years ago and it would be unlikely RUclips would forward to you a comment.] To all who start playing a musical instrument: listen to great talents, like Sabine Meyer, and dream big. Oh, yes, practice well, also. After 7th grade I switched to oboe, which actually was easier for me than clarinet. Go figure. Don Dodson Retired oboist

This is one of the earliest clarinet concertos composed. The only earlier ones that I know of were by Vivaldi and Molter. A beautiful piece!
And of course really fine playing by Sabine Meyer as well!
There is an early one by Paginelli as well. I am not sure if it is earlier or later.
@@brianknapp8645 Very interesting! I'd like to know about the clarinet concerto(s) by Vivaldi. Can you give me more information, or maybe a link?

Bravo Sabine!!!Please notes for this concerto.
Beautiful ! 💐💐💐
Thank you.
너무 좋아요
This man was a contemporary of Handel and Bach and yet his music sounds so late 18th century!
Brilliant! Ahead of his time

dominoes37 his music sounds actually very similair to early Haydn.

Marvelous. Thank you!

Well done! I play also at clarinet and i hope I will play like Sabine
We can shake hands I also play clarinet but playing like Sabine is still a long way to go

Well I hope you get better! I have fool proof that you will get better because of me!
