I have seen Nepalese pieces with that kind of design features as well. I suspect it is a two shade amethyst, as fluorite is very rarely faceted except as a specimen piece. It is too soft for setting in jewelry, especially rings.🖤🇨🇦

It is a wonderful thing when two people can make a deal that helps both. I think you got enough on this deal to do the last three shows and meet your agreement with Jason…and then some. The cloisonné goldfish really caught my eye, and the green and gold vase (I think it is Bohemian) is in gorgeous condition. This lot will keep you sorting for a good while Tanya, and the fact it is helping your friend Patsy, just makes the pleasure that much more satisfying. That oval glass casket filled with sparklies is pretty compelling, I can’t wait to see its contents. I actually think the amethyst points in silicone was made to take a candle in a glass container, and would be stunning with light in its centre. When I first started making jewelry in sterling and gold, with or without gems, I didn’t quality mark the metal. In Canada, you aren’t legally supposed to do that without the piece bearing your signature or registered maker’s mark. I mostly made stuff for friends and family anyway. But I did register my maker’s mark when I had my studio open, and only used it on one of a kind custom pieces. So look carefully at unmarked pieces…others often do the same. I’m glad to see you enjoying this treasure trove, and wish you much light and love Tanya, you make the world better for so many people.🥰🖤🇨🇦

I am his primary caregiver, and he is very near the end. I love him so much, and I have little time for my arts right now. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, watch my beloved leave me by inches, but I have so many beautiful memories of our years together sharing joyful adventures.
