Stay A Little Longer You don’t have to see your life’s purpose now and all the time if you can’t find it anywhere Just stay a little longer Nobody understands and there is no point to try and make amends Just stay a little longer You say you want to end it. You can’t stand it, the pain Just stay a while longer What does a minute of your time on earth do Nothing, you say, nothing, really. Just stay a little longer Maybe in a minute you’ll see Maybe tomorrow you’ll feel Maybe on friday you’ll know Maybe next year you’ll be glad that you stayed a little while longer t o see what else can break to see what else can ache to make another mistake It would be a terrible shame if something happened just now And you wouldn’t be there to see it all go down What if something happened right when you choose to fly away I see you made up your mind but I hear your plane is delayed Maybe in a minute you’ll see Maybe tomorrow you’ll feel Maybe on friday you’ll know Maybe next year you’ll be glad that you stayed a little while longer to see what else can break to see what else can ache to make another mistake
I lost a friend last year, he committed suicide - I wish I had had the words back then from this song. I'm so glad that someone was able to put this emotion, this wish, this persuasion into music. Deeply connected, deeply sad but also somehow grateful that humans like this artist exist who create wonderful music and make it a little easier to cope for us who don't know how to express ourselves this way. This is a long and winding thank you!
Thank you so much for this song - touched my heart from the first time I heard it. Just beautiful - and I absolutely love the live version (@ fm4 geburtstagsfest) of it.
This song, holds a very special place in my heart. It resonates deeply with me as I navigate the grief and loss of my mother to suicide. The lyrics echo the sentiments and thoughts I wish I could have shared with her. It's a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the profound impact of staying just a little while longer. Every verse speaks to the pain and the what-ifs that linger in the wake of such a loss. It reminds me that we often don't see the whole picture in our darkest moments. This song has been a source of solace, helping me process my emotions and understand that pain and hope can coexist. It's a gentle nudge towards the possibility of healing and finding light in the midst of darkness. I wanted to share my story to let others know who might be going through similar experiences that they're not alone. Music, like this song, can be a powerful ally in healing. Thank you to the creators for this beautiful, heartfelt piece. It's more than just a song; it's a lifeline for those grappling with such profound loss.
I‘ve never commented anything on youtube.. and by hearing the song several times this day, I completely forgot, where I heard it first.. What an amazing, precious peace of art.. It definitely plays in the same league as Coldplay‘s Fix you, outdoing it with it‘s simplicity and clearness.. with incredible beautiful voices. Chapeau!
Thank you very much for your concert in Salzburg last night. I especially liked it, when your voices overlapped and formed beautiful patterns in my mind. A truly joyful, enriching evening.
Stay A Little Longer
You don’t have to see your life’s purpose
now and all the time if you can’t find it anywhere
Just stay a little longer
Nobody understands and there is no point
to try and make amends
Just stay a little longer
You say you want to end it.
You can’t stand it, the pain
Just stay a while longer
What does a minute of your time on earth do
Nothing, you say, nothing, really.
Just stay a little longer
Maybe in a minute you’ll see
Maybe tomorrow you’ll feel
Maybe on friday you’ll know
Maybe next year you’ll be glad
that you stayed a little while longer t
o see what else can break
to see what else can ache
to make another mistake
It would be a terrible shame
if something happened just now
And you wouldn’t be there
to see it all go down
What if something happened
right when you choose to fly away
I see you made up your mind
but I hear your plane is delayed
Maybe in a minute you’ll see
Maybe tomorrow you’ll feel
Maybe on friday you’ll know
Maybe next year you’ll be glad
that you stayed a little while longer
to see what else can break
to see what else can ache
to make another mistake
und warum genau hat das video nicht schon längst millionen views??? Wäre jedenfalls mehr als verdient!
