I was on the Apex this week. I loved it. The ship is beautiful and service is great. Was also on the Millennium for restart June 2021 and also had excellent service. Celebrity is great.
The server fetching you the iced tea was a really lovely thing. I had a bakery I used to go to in England and I always used to order a Limington Dip aka Lamington if you’re a homesick Aussie. One day they didn’t have any in the window so I went in and ordered a Danish. The lady looked surprised and said she’d already got my lamington. I was then so touched because she hadn’t even waited for me to order and I said there hadn’t been any in the window and I’d take it and the Danish. It’s small things like that that stick in your mind - yours is iced tea and mine is a cake.
Your vlog makes me want to go on this fancy ship! Sounds like the Aqua class is worth it also. Food looked fabulous. Wow! A server remembering a drink you liked (created) at a completely different location is amazing. Then going to get an ingredient is even more impressive. I'm with you on the live plants on a cruise ship. On Royal's Oasis class, Central Park with live plants is a favorite. And I did not HATE anything about your vlog.
Thanks for the great video! Celebrity is my favorite cruise line-hands down, but I have only been on the Summit and Equinox. I will be sailing on the Apex in Feb 2022. Can't wait!
Love your Sunday Sofa Time! Even if I start it on Sunday, get interrupted end up finishing on Monday! For the record, frequently this is one of your vlogs that I use almost like a Podcast. I pop in and out to see the images of what you are talking about, but use it as something to listen to while working.
I’ll be on Apex in 2023 in a solo balcony cabin for a Baltic cruise. Love Celebrity and all that they do to make a memorable cruise experience. Watched program on Sunday.
We love Celebrity! We are going the new Beyond next October for her inaugural transatlantic…. Reflection is my favorite… we will be on that ship in January…. Celebrity has never disappointed ❤️❤️❤️
Celebrity is my favorite line! Had a suite on the aft starboard corner of the ship on our Mediterranean cruise that came complete with a butler! Best cruise EVER! And the suites dining room was amazing! Excellent service!
This is going to be fun, you know I was on the Apex the week after you and loved it. I was the first person at Cafe al Bacio every morning and got my caramel macchiato. After the first day, they made it as soon as I walked up, they knew what I wanted. We really enjoyed the relaxing areas where you could find peace and quiet, although the ship in general was relatively quiet and relaxing. You are so right, the Rooftop Garden was super cool, good place to hangout. Eden was amazing day and night, very cool with all the live plants and we really enjoyed sitting in the upper area looking out the aft at the wake. Agree that the Tree of Life show was really entertaining and the entertainment in Eden was really cool. We also stayed in Aquaclass and enjoyed Blu, although we went to all the restaurants and a couple of the specialty restaurants. Never had a bad meal, in fact, most of them were just amazing. We have never done room service on any of our 33 cruises, I just like to get up early and go to the gym and then on with the day so never really set aside time for room service. Fancy is a very good term to describe Apex, they have really upped their game in every aspect. Towels in the restrooms were great, Viking does that as well, but, it is a really nice touch. The Magic Carpet was super cool, we spent a little time on it, but, when it served as the tender landing, it was fantastic. The cold towels upon your return was another touch of class. You are so right about the service, everyone was amazing and knew your name immediately and what you liked to drink. I even had a drink at the Sunset Bar that I liked and when I tried to order it at the Martini Bar, they didn't have it or know what it was. So I sat down with some friends and started chatting and 5 minutes late the bartender came over with the El Diablo drink; he had called the Sunset Bar and they told him how to make the drink so he did it...that is amazing service for sure. The infinite veranda was a bit different and I still haven't decided if I liked it or not. We never closed the interior doors and had the window down quite a bit and it did not affect the air conditioning in the room that I could notice. Of course, we spend very little time in the cabin other than sleeping or getting ready to go somewhere. I am watchin this on Sunday so I can stay current with your posts.
You got me again on the commercial song when you were upside down on the side. I look forward to what you are going to do each week. So funny. These videos really make me want to go on a Celebrity Cruise!
Now I am more excited about our trip on June 2022 to Iceland on the celebrity apex! I am love with the celebrity ships and I have not been on them yet!
We are Zenith on Celebrity, its our go to although we have used other vendors. Celebrity offers good food and service and a nice price point. Sailing something like Carnival would be a season in hell, I prefer to pay a bit more for the better experience.
I'm gonna be on Apex also in aqua class. I can't wait for Blu and the solarium. I can't believe this was your first celebrity cruise. The food and service are always amazing.
Hi Morgan! I was on the sister ship (Edge) and agree that the service was the best of any cruise I have experienced. I had a similar experience where one of the staff members had gotten me a Dark and Stormy at the sunset bar the night prior. She was working the pool bar the following day and I don't believe the Goesling rum was stocked the pool bar and thus not on the drink menu. She remembered me, took the trip and fetched it for me without hesitation.
@@alej8902 The edge ships are better. Although I love the Silohouette class too. The Beyond will be the best ship at sea when she enters service next year. Right now the APEX is the best, hands down.
I look forward to watching your sofa time videos every Sunday. The few times I’ve watch an early access Patreon one I’ve watched again bc it just doesn’t seem right not to start my Sunday with you!
I love your commentaries. Do you do a full tour of Celeberty Apex? Im arranging a group tour in 2024 and would love to hear your commentary to pass on to my group! Thank You!
I think "sophisticated" is the word you're looking for. We love Celebrity. We'll be on the Edge in about 3 weeks for Thanksgiving and then we have the Apex booked in April for a glorious 14 days on a B2B sailing. Celebrity has always had towels in their bathrooms, it's those types of things that we expect and love about Celebrity along with the most excellent service around. Celebrity crew and staff are probably the best trained regarding service and take it very seriously. All of those questions they asked you the first night, were to find out as much as possible so that they could take care of and surprise you for the rest of your sailing. Consider it Celebrity love. We can't wait for November, our first cruise since the Solstice in Alaska in August 2019. It's about time. :) Can't wait for the rest of the Apex vlogs.
Again, you're making me more excited about sailing on the Apex in April!! Yes, I love the fact that they have real hand towels in the bathroom. I can't stand the hand blowers. Always love your perspective. Keep them coming!
Wow, that screen behind the stage is AMAZING!!! Definitely adds to whatever experience/show they are presenting. Commercials for Call of Duty/Vangaurd, and one for NOOM. Room service video coming? YAAAAY!!!! I really like those. I think the idea of having that window come down to create a balcony is a great idea. It makes the room seem bigger when it's closed. I'm usually able to watch your vlog right after you post it, because I work every Sunday night, and so am here when you post it. :)
I've only sailed with Celebrity once - it was a Solstice class ship. Not a big fan of that class of ship. I've been intrigued by the Edge class and this video has sold me! Nice job! I'm going to find your vlogs for this cruise and watch them. Thank you!
Hey Morgan- So my wife and I have a cruise booked aboard the Celebrity Edge in a little over 2 months, our first with Celebrity and our first cruise overall in three years. We had contemplated booking the Infinite Verandah cabin but opted instead for a Sunset Verandah (aft-facing balcony) as the Infinite seemed a bit "gimmicky". Anyway, thanks for the vid and great work!
The coffee sounds awesome! But omg that rooftop garden? I think I’d have died and gone to heaven there! It looks a totally brilliant space. If only we had cutting edge ships come to Australia. Ads: earn with Uber Eats and Panasonic TVs…could be a worse selection of adverts.
The fact that Celebrity allows free use of towels and has drying towels in the public bathroom are super classy. I ❤️ that so much. And its fleetwide!! A big Celebrity plus for me.
Watched on Sunday morning, 10/24. My ad was for Arby’s. It’s interesting you have put negativity in the title to get the algorithm to work. It seems to have or it could be I’ve been watching videos for the apex since I’m sailing on her in 3 weeks! Can’t wait. I’ve done most of my cruises on Celebrity, but a decade since my last one. Love them! Great video. Informative and entertaining.
Morgan, loved this video. I hope this does increase your viewers. I now want to look into celebrity cruise Appex. I got dog food commercial. Watched on Sunday. Never seen game thrones either.
I am going on Apex next August as a solo traveler in the solo veranda. Most of the items you mentioned are available on ALL Celebrity cruises. I have been on 10 Celebrity cruises with 3 more booked. I tried the Blu last week and I prefer the main dining room. The food was too rich for me with all the sauces. I am a senior so I prefer more plain food in the main dining room. It was confusing if you could order off of the main dining room menu. I was not book in Aqua Class and sometimes they let me in my friend who was booked there and sometimes we had to push. It all depended who was seating people. I can't wait for your ship tour. The magic carpet is only available on the Edge class of ships, which there are 3 right now with a 4 th soon. Glad you had a good time with your partner.
I purposefully booked our 10th-anniversary cruise ( had to move to the 11th due to the uncertainty of the USA/Canada border reopening and insurance/testing nightmares) on Celebrity. Many of your likes are the reasons I booked them over other cruise lines. I sailed a near-capacity sailing and it did not feel crowded ever on the ship and that is also made a difference. I do love my coffee and will be fully taking advantage of the cafe and I also purposefully booked a room on an upper deck near that set of elevators to make easy access to the coffee bar. Your service level I think for the most part is the level of service I got sailing in a regular Balcony room. It has become our go-to cruise line when we sail child-free. I watched this Sunday evening.
I was on the Celebrity Equinox this September and I agree with you wholeheartedly. I experienced the best service I've ever had in my life on sea or land. I am converted to Celebrity exclusively. And I watched the show on Sunday
-Loved the Rooftop Garden. We didn't eat there, but we went up and watched a movie. I probably would have gone more if it wasn't a pay venue. -We had breakfast in Eden a couple days. We had the whole place to ourselves! -Got 2 ads, LG and Scotiabank -We did room service on Dubrovnik sailway. Ordered a fruit plate and 2 cheesecakes. -The Magic Carpet dinner was awesome. Lots of food, but so good! -OMG the towels were SO nice after Santorini. I put one really wet one on the top of my head and one on my neck. May have overestimated how hard walking up and down the stairs would be.
The commercial I saw was for Hershey. I have only been on one cruise, on a Holland American ship about 20 years ago. They also had terry wash cloths in the public restrooms. That just blew me away. Loved it.
We are taking the apex cruise in February and we are very excited about it. But I was under the impression that everything on the ship is included in the price. I understand that spealties restaurants are extra but are not all drinks included on this ship. You mentioned that at the back of the ship there was a restaurant that you had to pay for your drinks????? I have cruised many times with my wife over the yrs but she passed away 8yrs ago. And I have met a wonderful lady and taking her on her very first cruise and I would like it to be very special. Just don't want any expensive surprises when we get there. But looking forward to our holiday in February
I'm just days away from our 12 day Apex cruise through the British Aisles. I appreciate your video as it really whet my appetite. The indoor pool will be popular as it will be cool during our cruise. The coffee and goodies at El Baccio sound so very good! I also will enjoy the live plants.
Morgan, you make your vlogs interesting and informative along with being humorous. Loved every second of this video. Oh yeah by the way had a commercial for some medication and for Disney.
Another excellent review. I agree 100% that the service on Celebrity is the best at sea (excluding the ultra Lux lines, maybe). We are on the Equinox again on Nov.28. We are booked on the Edge in '22 and booked a sunset Veranda. I am just not convinced we would like the new Veranda design. Thanks for your excellent channel.
Hi Sherrie! Morgan asked me to write something about the Magic Carpet Dinner. Book it as soon as you get on board. Any of the restaurants can help you. We sat at the forward end near the corner where the glass was hugher. I wouldn't recommend sitting in the middle where the glass is lower because the wind was blowing things all over. You get a menu, but really you'll get everything on that menu. Go hungry! It's a LOT of food. You start out with a charcuterie board, then a cold seafood platter, then a plate with 3 proteins (ours came with lobster tails, chateaubriand & branzino), this came with a plate of veggies as well, after that you get a dessert and if you make it that far a cheese plate. We didn't get that far. Definitely a LOT of food for 2 people. It would feed more like 4 or more for the amount.
Great vlog! Thanks so much! I watched on Sunday. I want to cruise on the APEX! We are currently booked on the Celebrity Millennium for July in Alaska but concerned about our huge group traveling from Texas to Alaska (what if one of us tests positive and our group trip is ruined??) so we may book something out of Florida which is a little closer to home for us!
We were on her sister ship, the Edge, last month. Totally agree with your list right down to the infinite veranda. I was not a fan. To me, it was like having a port window that opened and not really a balcony. PS: I would add another love - the track - awesome for a morning run - those magnificent sea views, the figure 8 with two levels - great way to start the morning!
will be on Apex in Jan 😊meanwhile next week I am on Carnival Sunshine (been watching videos on both ships to research them) 😎 Thanks for the video, I am looking forward to Apex cruise!
Watched today on Sunday. Avaricious = greed. Best thing I’ve heard about Celebrity is no smoking policies. Love going to a casino, but invariably someone will sit next to me and light up! I know, other cruise lines have no smoking sections, but it seems that the best slot machines are in their smoking sections. Lol….looking forward to going on a Celebrity cruise, as soon as I use up all the Future Cruise Credits I have on NCL and Royal. Thanks for the information on things you did NOT not like.
It was fantastic to have a no smoking casino, but unfortunately Markus and I agreed this was the least lucky we've been in any onboard casino. The slots were not very loose at all!
Just did the transatlantic cruise on the Edge and I had the best cruise ever. Agree with all the comments you had on your video. I had an interesting experience. I had COVID like symptoms and called the medical center. The immediately sent a doctor and nurse to my cabin. Did a through exam and a COVID test. Found I had a fever but negative for COVID. Diagnosis was stomach flu and was quarantined for 24 hours. The sea pass is disabled so if you leave the cabin you can’t go back in and they know you violated the quarantine. They control your food requests for room service so as not to order things that can agrávate your stomach. The room attendant comes to do your room fully hazmat outfits to avoid contacting your germs. After you are released from the quarantine, the next day I got a letter apologizing that I had gotten sick and gave me a voucher for 300 dollars for my vacation interruption! And all medical expenses were FREE. One thing I hated was the internet. Non existent. Couldn’t even get email.
We usually sail Royal Caribbean but are trying Celebrity for my birthday in December. We are sailing in a suite so we have access to Blu. I am a vegetarian and hubby is a carnivore so I appreciate your food reviews so much! I can't wait to get my hands on that burger! 🤤
@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides I live in Maryland now but grew up in Minnesota, so the Valley Fair reference was fun to hear. Commercials were Floor and Decor along with Bed Bath and Beyond.
Agree with you on the Edge Balcony. I always pick a lower class balcony that is a traditional balcony. Don’t know why you can get aqua class in those staterooms. I didn’t like how your room gets so damp.
Going on the Apex for a 7 nighter in early January. We've done Celebrity Silhouette and Summit several times, but are looking forward to the Apex. I'm curious if you used the Persian Gardens, as that is one of my favorite features of the Aqua Class.
The doors where clear on the EDGE and people complained that you could not go out there and get privacy. if some ones was still asleep in the room, So they made them frosted glass to give the person in the room or on the balcony privacy
We have just been on a cruise with MSC from Genoa and back on a 12 day cruise in YC. That was probably the biggest disappointment we have yet experienced with MSC in YC. After that we decided to stop crusing ever again, but then we got to see your videos about Apex and we are very surprised so we have now booked 15 days at Apex in the Caribbean for March 2022 anyway. We are really looking forward to that trip.
I love Celebrity. Did the Edge infinite verandah. Equinox coming up for the holidays. Will do Beyond on Trans Atlantic. I am enjoying your videos. Started following earlier this year. You are humorous and informative. Celebrity does the real towel. I prefer. That octopus looks so freaking good. Oh the Ad was Hello Fresh
All Celebrity ships have hand towels in the public bathrooms. The level of service you experienced on Apex is the level of service I have experienced on every Celebrity ship. Coffee bar is included with the basic drink package.
Once we've finished our next RCL cruise we should be diamond level and I think our Crown & Anchor will work with Celebrity. So I guess we'll have to give Celebrity a try, based on your videos! Oh and even though I'm not a vegetarian I'd definitely be getting that veggie burger! It looked great. PS watched it Sunday, its generally part of my Sunday morning routine ;)
SAD, in a way, because your "hate" in the title of the video worked! When I opened RUclips you were there! I was GLAD about that because you are one of my very favorite vloggers. More people should find you, so maybe using false negative word in the thumbnails may be a good thing. Love when you do characters. :-)
Hi Morgan! Excellent thumbnail 👌🏻 You are going to have at least three times more views, unfortunately you just have to play the game. We LOVE having live plants in Cruise ships 🛳🪴🌊 Celebrity is our very favorite cruise line 🛳❤️🌊 Two sets of commercials Watching Sunday at 2am
Hi Morgan, I watched on Sunday. I haven't really been watching much recently. I know it is petty, but I was just too bummed (aka jealous) to see you out on all the cruises when it was completely shut down here in the U.S. But now I will be going on the newly amplified Oasis of the Seas on November 28th, so I am no longer too jealous to watch ;). I am curious about the price of Celebrity vs Royal Caribbean (all of our cruises have been RC). Also, do loyalty points cross over since they are the same company? Thanks for your videos!!
I think you should ask Celebrity or Royal this question directly. For me some Celebrity status in the past did transfer to Royal, but not sure if it transfers the other direction.
Walt would have hated the new Disney system. He was known to literally wait with his guest in line. He wanted it to be affordable and not a system based on class. I enjoy ur sofatime chat.
Is the indoor pool the adult only pool? On the Royal Oasis class, the adult pool is tiny. When we went on Celebrity Equinox, the adult pool was freezing.

Nothing better than having your new favorite drink at Sunday sofa time!
-Got 2 ads, LG and Scotiabank
-We did room service on Dubrovnik sailway.
Hi Captain Morgan - another delightful video. Thank you for all the work you do. I am ashamed to say that I watched this one on Sunday afternoon.
No need to be ashamed about that!
I'm just days away from our 12 day Apex cruise through the British Aisles. I appreciate your video as it really whet my appetite. The indoor pool will be popular as it will be cool during our cruise. The coffee and goodies at El Baccio sound so very good! I also will enjoy the live plants.
We’ll be on Apex in April for the transatlantic to Amsterdam… looking forward to it!
Loved the video, we are traveling on the Apex in June 2023 Northern Europe. Thanks for all your Apex videos.
Thanks, Scott. I think you are going to love the Apex.
Morgan, you make your vlogs interesting and informative along with being humorous. Loved every second of this video. Oh yeah by the way had a commercial for some medication and for Disney.
Watch you on Sundays. Look forward to it.
Le Petit Chef?! Most unique dining at sea! Our family’s favorite dining!
I got an ad for Valleyfair, which was interesting because you actually made a reference to it in the video.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your Celebrity experience….only line that I will cruise on!🇨🇦❤️
Watched on Sunday and also smiling on the Apex Dec. 4th.
Loved your report! We are booked to go in March, soo looking forward to it. Do they serve dinner on the Magic Carpet? Thank you!
They do serve dinner as part of a special experience. Our friend Michelle was on the same sailing as us, I'll see if I can grab her attention...
I watch on Saturday evening (WA state) when the notification pops 😊 i love your vids! You are so entertaining to watch. Thanks Morgan!
Love your videos. I watched on Monday.
Loved this video!!! So helpful!!! You are so fun and entertaining!!!
Great video, Morgan!
will be on Apex in Jan 😊meanwhile next week I am on Carnival Sunshine (been watching videos on both ships to research them) 😎
Thanks for the video, I am looking forward to Apex cruise!
I had an ad for Cuisinart griddler when you announced an ad and a surprise ad near the end for Coco Floss toothbrushes
Thanks so much - whetting my excitement for our b2b on her in August.
Going on the Apex at Easter. Can’t wait.
I'm glad you didn't get Covid!
We usually sail Royal Caribbean but are trying Celebrity for my birthday in December. We are sailing in a suite so we have access to Blu. I am a vegetarian and hubby is a carnivore so I appreciate your food reviews so much! I can't wait to get my hands on that burger! 🤤
You are going to love the food options!
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by the Persian Gardens. Is that the spa?
You are too funny!
I enjoy your videos.
The doors where clear on the EDGE and people complained that you could not go out there and get privacy. if some ones was still asleep in the room, So they made them frosted glass to give the person in the room or on the balcony privacy
Love your videos... Thanks for your efforts and time to do these.
Sorry I’m behind, watching this on Sunday Nov 7
Watching this before I go to sleep!
Will be doing the Eastern Caribbean on the Apex in November. This will be our 4th Celebrity cruise and first on an Edge class ship.
SAD, in a way, because your "hate" in the title of the video worked! When I opened RUclips you were there! I was GLAD about that because you are one of my very favorite vloggers. More people should find you, so maybe using false negative word in the thumbnails may be a good thing. Love when you do characters. :-)
Celebrity treats their guests like adults. Once we tried Celebrity we never looked back.
Staff are amazing on Celebrity!
Going on Apex February 23!!
Hi Morgan!
Excellent thumbnail 👌🏻
You are going to have at least three times more views, unfortunately you just have to play the game.
We LOVE having live plants in Cruise ships 🛳🪴🌊
Celebrity is our very favorite cruise line 🛳❤️🌊
Two sets of commercials
Watching Sunday at 2am
Watching this on Sunday .... I love to feel fancy. That Katchup on the floor is like a spill on a fancy dress. Oops 😬
Great video!
Great review
We sail on Apex in 3 days. We can’t wait.
You are going to love it!
Yes, you can transfer your status from Royal to Celebrity! Celebrity is more spendy, but it's worth the extra as far as I'm concerned.
@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides Thanks for the info! I might look at Celebrity next time we cruise. Your video sure made it look wonderful.
I think you should ask Celebrity or Royal this question directly. For me some Celebrity status in the past did transfer to Royal, but not sure if it transfers the other direction.
I board Apex this Thursday. I’m so excited
You are going to love it! Is it your first cruise?
@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides my second, but my first on Celebrity. It was awesome. I loved everything about it.
Walt would have hated the new Disney system. He was known to literally wait with his guest in line. He wanted it to be affordable and not a system based on class. I enjoy ur sofatime chat.
Are traditional balcony cabins less expensive than the infinite verandas? I love my traditional balcony and really don't want an infinite veranda.
I'm not sure, actually!
Morgan I think you would like peach schnapps with sweetened ice tea. Hmm my favorite.
Let me know if you try this
stunning ship
Is the indoor pool the adult only pool? On the Royal Oasis class, the adult pool is tiny. When we went on Celebrity Equinox, the adult pool was freezing.
I didn’t hate this vlog!
The rooftop garden looks much more useful than the plain grass area on their other ships
