Why are y’all the coolest people ever!! I met so many of you at beautycon this weekend and it was sooo dope! Even though I’m actually a shy introvert in real life and I have major social anxiety 😔
Brad Mondo ahhh ily so much!
Same
I love u so much and i am struggling with anxiety myself! You are so funny!
i want your hair colors omg- advice for bleaching with thick black long hair?
Brad Mondo LOVE YOUUUU
Omg your hair is so beautiful in this video!!! I love that blue with that green!
I feel like I’m the only person on the planet that still cannot master blow drying my hair with a round brush. I have tried for years. I always feel like a superstar when my stylist does it, because I know it’ll never look that good again. 😂
Try revlon volume hair dryer brush.
actually if you use the rollers then you could probably get away without the round brush
Veronica Anderson it’s all in the wrist, I went to beauty school and the simplest thing could be the hardest. Ughhh lol practice practice practice, I dreaded blow drying lol meanwhile I could color, cut, style w. No problem but then try to roll up the brush while drying and it freaking would get tangled when I was new 😢 ugh it’s not as easy as it looks but you get better the more you try. Don’t give up, take sections at a time while the rest are out of the way and go slow, becoming faster happens with time 💕
You can blow it with your head upside down, or the opposite side you want to use it.
I couldn’t either but the dryer with the built-in brush makes it stoopid easy. Very shiny, fancy blow-out look, too easy. Mine is Revlon.
As soon as you picked up the round brush, it was too complicated for me.
i ONLY use the round brush, i can’t tell u how many times i’ve gotten it caught in my hair
@@jeweliamccleskey once my hair got stuck so bad that I had to cut it...now I have bangs✂️
When your a hairdresser they don’t let you use anything other than a round brush 😂
hahahaha!!! okay so I'm not the only one
I thought I was the only one who still can’t master the round brush. 😬 I wish I could but I always get the brush stuck.

that comment is gold 👁️👄👁️
this comment so so freaking underrated 😂 girl you’re funny as hell
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I get a body perm and then use rollers. Might be old fashioned but it works.
Could you please do some overnight curls/hairstyles? I don’t have a lot of time in the morning to focus on my hair so I usually just leave with flat boring hair, so anything I can do the night before I will do 100% love ya! x
Basically just do these rollers in the places he puts them but with slightly damp hair in sponge/ pillow rollers. Wake up and brush them out
Braid it. Dutch braids from front to back, I do two. Wash it, braid it, sleep. I literally just take it down and run my fingers through in the morning and it looks like I spent hours doing it
I use foam rod rollers in my hair, just some product, the rollers, cover it and go to bed. Most important part is to cover it with a scarf or even a sleep bonnet or else they'll end up coming out.
You can do sock rolls as well if you don't have rollers AND they are easy to sleep in.
But Ms Rachel Duff is right...make sure your cover your rolled up hair with something to stop the frizzy, from when you rolled around sleeping. Something with very little friction is best...like satin but anything is better nothing.
Girl try the headband trick !!! I swear by it ! Look up videos on the method it’s so easy and you just sleep in it ☺️
I will never use rollers but I will watch the whole video bc it’s brad
Yea me too
True
Same haha
I already have really curly hair but I watched the whole video as well XD

I was a teen in the 80's, when every girl had her hair permed and teased to within an inch of its life. I chose to use hot rollers instead of perming all through my late teens until my mid-twenties. Pop the rollers in, do my makeup, take rollers out...perfect hair! I'm glad to see more hair with volume returning.
Have spent 2 hours watching mondo videos, came to this one..lol. My 80’s self is screaming , no..no.. mondo you have to take section, spray a ton of aqua net on section , then roller. The when done, spray may aqua net prior to taking rolls out, then when all rollers out...yup more aqua net. Lol we had the most none movable and crunchy hair of any generation...lol🤣🤣🤣
Nossa. Devia ficar uma beleza esse cabelo cheio de cola
😂😂 OMG YASS
lmaoo I love that though
Don’t forget catcher’s mitt bangs. Those bad boys would not move a centimeter in a category 5 hurricane. My poison was Matrix Voom hairspray though. 😂
Preach on sista 🙌🏻😆 this why these new schoolers need to consult w/ the ol 'skoolers before doing these types of demos! And what's so bad about crunchy hair anyway?! 🤔 I personally like a lil crunch ohkerrrt 😂

For people out there with curly hair:
Put the rollers in your hair after applying the product and while your hair is still wet. Then blow dry it until it is fully dry and remove the rollers. Go back in after with the blow drier and a brush to neaten up the roots a bit if necessary.
I hope this helps
Thank you:)
thank you! how long do i blow dry for? its been 15 minutes and its still not dry
@@godisgood2206 that depends on your hair type, sounds like low porosity hair so it’s holding onto the moisture, it just takes longer to dry than more porous hair. My ex’s mum was the same, she’d spend like 30 minutes blow drying
@@godisgood2206 depending on how curly your hair is. You can dry you hair to like 60% and then roll it. But make sure you tension the hairto stretch the curl.
You actually need more water to help stretch the curl

2:02 I think we all have that thought when the ring doesn’t come off, I do EVERY DAMN TIME
lick the ring and twirl it off when it happens.
Umm, the ring will get cut off before your fingers.
Sarah Khan and it’s annoying because if I go up a ring size it’s too big and my ring gets stuck depending on the day
Just suck on your finger and it should pop off after it gets wet enough
Nope. I wear four rings on my left hand and two on my right and have worn them for years. I use either hand sanitizer, water, or hold my hands above my head when they get stuck. Easy peasy.
Just bought Glitterati after watching this video. Have a wedding coming up and want to see if it really works. BRAD IT BETTER BE GOOD HUNNY IM TRUSTING U

siouxsielover88 to prep for heat rollers you need something with heat protection and a little bit of hold, preferably in a cream or gel form. Spray doesn’t work as well.
Or he could just style ur hair
I've been using roller sets for nearly 20 years. They're seriously a godsend, as I really just have to plug in my rollers as soon as I wake up, put them in my hair right before I leave for work, and take them out in my car before I go into the office. They're seriously so quick and easy.
Any heat damage?

FINALLY - a watchable, instructive/informative video on the subject - HOSTED BY A VERY LIKABLE PERSON WHO KNOWS HOW TO COMMUNICATE! THANK YOU!!
Rollers are so underrated. Especially the Velcro rollers. Blow your hair out to almost dry, roll it up and do your makeup. Blast it with the hair dryer one more time, let it cool and take them out. Tons of body and waves!
Idk how to use velcro rollers, i have long hair and they get stuck in my hair and make it look ratty
Or you have curly hair like me and can’t use rollers at all 😂 my mom tried to do Velcro curlers in my hair and they got stuck. Never ever again
Only facts lol
squishy booty When I do it on clients, I make sure to section the hair beforehand. This really helps hair not to get stuck. And when you take it out hold your hair at the root and gently pull the roller out. I hope this helps
Velcro just doesn't come out of my hair easy, always end up ripping hair out trying to get it out. Bad childhood memories.
I fell asleep while watching this but not because you’re boring (Which you’re not) I fell asleep because your voice is so soothing to listen to.
Chloe Ramos I love your profile picture

Yeah wait mee!
Brad's energy in this video is the equivalent of when I start trying hairstyles on myself at 11:30 at night, and the next time I look at the clock it's 1am.
Ah hahahah me too ! Watching this while trying foam rollers on sections of my hair.
“I wanted to show you guys you don’t have to use expensive tools to get a good look.” *You just used a $400 hairdryer.* 🤣
I mean
Just about any hairdryer will do the trick 🤷♀️
An affordable hairdryer does the same exact thing.
You aware 400$ hairdryer and regular hairdryer does the same thing right? Expensive dryers have more power and weight less, they make a pros life better cause they need to do 10+ blowouts a day, not because they give better result.
They have $15 hair dryers

Thank you for making things more simple for me to understand. I have tried rollers before and failed, but now I know what to do. Also, I watched another video of yours on how to curl hair with a straight iron. Now I know exactly what to do(other videos made things too complicated). Also, you seem kind, genuine and fun. I am subscribing.
I love how proud he is of his products- it doesn’t feel like self promo at all, he genuinely cares about the quality. Makes me want to buy it 😂
A lot of cosmetologists really believe in the products they use. There’s so much research that goes into it. Many people not in this profession think we’re just selling products for money but it’s not really true. As a professional we pick the products we truly believe will help our clients hair.
I agree and I'm definitely going to have to check them out.

Love this (and you!)! I have thin fine hair, and tho I'm in the granny category, I'm no frump. Hot rollers are my hair savers par excellence and have been since they came out in I think '68! I use the velvet Conairs 1 1/4" and Paul Mitchell root lift. Works beautifully and I get a smooth, body-full style with no extensive time--30 min max. Section almost completely dry hair, mist roots with root lift, roll, do your make up, get dressed, remove rollers and spritz with a flexible hold hairspray. Boom! Out the door!

I used to use curlers when I was a young girl in the late 90s. 😂 Good times! I rocked those!
Amber Agee hell yeah! Were they the pink spongey rollers? If so, my mom tortured me with them in the early-to-mid 90s. 🤣
Hells yah! My mom would use rollers on my hair for church. In middle school, I used the pink spongy rollers that you would use when your hair was wet and sleep with them in. Shirley Temple curls for the win!
YES! my mom put hot rollers in my hair when I was little and doing dance recitals, but she didnt use big ones, she used small ones and gave me ringlets, I looked like Shirley Temple. She eventually switched to doing my hair with the sponge "sleep in" curlers that were the worst.
Brad: _"were gonna put 4 squirts"_
*37 squirts later*
blaziinbarbiie seriously. Makes me wonder about the quality of the product. Yikes. 😬
*12 and it's a thick wig and it squirts very little at a time
My mom was a beauty queen in high school and to this day rollers are still her go-to.
That one piece in the middle of her face for the first like 5 mins was sooo aggravating
Ughh so much anxiety everytime he didn't grab it with the rest of the hair 😭
Ugh! Me too!
OMG I saw that too 😆🤣 it was workin my nerves LMAO
I love you! I am a granny! But use rollers, caUse I don’t like using heat! I love your hair! I also enjoy a rainbow of colors in my hair!
Ur hair is so flipping cute.
I can’t. 😍😘😩
I know!!!
Ikr!!!
Brad Mondo- just wanted to say that I appreciate your kindness. Whenever I watch your videos I find that you are uplifting. Thank you for that.
Brad, you are so darling! plus you are showing the roller pattern I have been using for 40 years with my fabulous grannie hair :) It works!
Roller are a boys best friend too, but I do a wet set. Sleep in them, and wake up looking amazing. It just take so long cause I'm rolling them myself!
great idea!
How do you get the back? I literally always just wear a ponytail bc I can't do ANYTHING to the back of my hair.
@@SshhhTrouble do the front first, and you should have a decent feel for how to do them. Then it is just up to the length of your arms. My hair is slightly too long for me to comfortably do rollers by myself, I have tried.
Another use for roller sets: The large ones can be used to straighten curly hair with no heat while maintaining the bounce/volume curly hair naturally has! It might not work as well on kinky/coily hair types but for types 2a-3c it works pretty well. You pretty much want to use the largest rollers you can find but it works pretty well.
Honestly my hair doesn’t hold aaaany kind of hairstyle! Like I get that beautiful volume but 5 minutes later everything is flat again. It’s so annoying
Vaness Apparaît
Try leaving the rollers in for as long as possible. Like 2 hours or something.
It might help?
Also try blasting it with cold air whilst it’s setting?
I have corse waist length hair & have been using hot rollers since the 7th grade. Plug the rollers in & let them get HOT, I plug in before I take a shower so they are heating while I shower & blow dry my hair. Use the all plastic ones not the ones with felt around the middle. Try to leave one roller on the set when your done & leave the rollers in your hair until the one you left is completely cool & so are the metal rods that hold the rollers, I usually do my makeup while the rollers are sitting. Don’t brush out your hair! Let the gravity pull it down naturally. This is my advice if your hair doesn’t hold the curl well.
Oh God same. I can curl my hair for 45 minutes, enjoy the full, fluffy, bounciness for 5 minutes and then.... BLAH. Flat as a pancake. I have to use a ton of hair spray now.
Have you tried curling the hair then clipping it up and hair spraying onve they're all clipped up and let it sit for a couple minutes or a wet set
Same it's so annoying !
I just found you and finally think I figured out what I was doing wrong when rolling my hair! Subscribed and loved this tutorial and look forward to seeing more videos from you! 💜💜💜
I would need 5 of those roller sets for all of my hair!
Mine is so long.. I wish I could get it all up in rollers.
Shahalis Wilson they have rollers in very different sizes, big ones are great for long hair!
I’m the opposite I probably only need 5 rollers for all of my head
Now I want rollers. 😥
Yeah- I use two sets
But what about cold rollers? My mom made me sleep overnight with them all the time growing up and I still swear by them if I need to have my hair looking fab without much time early in the day.
Yup, I stand by this
I used to sleep in foam rollers, id rather just wake up early and do it than try to have a good nights sleep in hot rollers
It would be great to see a video with cold rollers!

You’ve just renewed my love for rollers! I used to use them ages ago. Thank you!
Me: I like to keep my screens warm tone so they’re easier on the eyes
Brads shirt: *exists*
My retinas: (🔥) (🔥)
Screens warm so they are easier on the eyes, what?
Stettafire you can set your screens so they have like a slightly yellowish tone to them, standard screens emit a lot of blue light which is super harsh on the eyes so it’s good for you to have it on that setting particularly before bed! :)
Stettafire I think it’s literally called night time mode or something
@@Stettafire there's an app I use called Twilight with gives the screen a red tint, you can turn it on and off, and it helps with sleeping because blue light keeps you awake.
I understand it as something like this (please take what I'm saying here with a grain of salt, it's just how I explain it, I'm not a scientist, nor have I researched this) : The sky is blue during the day and your mind thinks it's day, and if you have blue light coming out of your phone it tricks your mind into it being day. Also blue light is just harsher or stronger.
Yeah, warm colour I understand. But warm screens? Made it sound like when you used to have to wait for an old CRT to heat up:P
*After applying the second roller*
Brad: 'Awww look, how fun!'
Me: 'I CANT FEEL MY ARMS D:'
Yesss I always rough dry and use rollers and it's become my favorite way to style my hair, since it's very straight and fine otherwise. I look kinds funny with all the rollers in but looks good and the volume lasts days so worth it!

Alana Becker probably because simply starts with an S & nailogical, but just a guess. I don’t really watch him so I wouldn’t know.
Alright, you might've just convinced me to try these. I've been trying to figure out an easier way to do my hair to get look 1 or 2, and this seems like something I can manage before taking the kids to school!
I use them a lot for my hair to make it even more curly! It truly does bring out the volume and everything like Brad has explained
I’m Obsessed with this queens hair color...Definitely living his best life
Glamour Girl this queen be rocking her plastic lmao she’s actually creepy
You should never yank on rings when they are stuck. It causes your fingers to swell and makes it more difficult to remove your jewelry. You should rock the rings side to side while gently moving it down off your finger to avoid swelling.
I hope this is helpful to avoid and future panic 😉
Spray a little windex on the finger. We used to do this when I worked in a jewelry store and people would come in with stuck rings.
@@jessiebaker9313 when i get rings stuck i push the ring up and over my knuckle from the palm side of my hand. Works everytime
just spin them around your finger going slightly upwards, it works as well
Or just run your hands under cold water, blood leaves the hands, skin contacts, rings come off. Or use lube
Put some hand cream on and slowly screw them off.
this really took me back. my mom and my grandma loves using rollers in the 80s and 90s! I had super straight hair and curlers would be the only thing that would sort of give me any definition. Of course though, they used a boatload of Aqua Net hair spray (oh the nostalgia!) thanks for taking me down memory lane.
I just took out my mom's rollers and gave them a try! Thanks for the video :) I am excited for the results, because doing them is really SO easy!
BRAD
To get rings off, use a small pea sized amount of conditioner next to the band and rub it all the way around, then spin the ring off. It helps lubricate to help get it off SO much easier.

I got some at my parents place from my grandmother which still work, I am totes picking them up next time I'm around!
Me to 😂😂lol
I have had the same roller set for nearly twenty years. They still work great.
2000 is not old ass wth is wrong with y'all fetuses😭 Those were my teens and I'm 30. Old ass is like 40 years ago when it's about products. not merely 15. This isn't an iPhone.
@@melz6625 babe, it's been 2 decades since the 2000's. Not "merely 15". 😊
I watched this after my second time using these exact rollers! I have these and strawberry foam rollers. I’m in love with all the rollers!
Thank you! I have this set, am new to styling my now long hair. This helped so much.
you look so good with the green shirt!!!
*how do you pull this off*

everybody: where is this magical serum?!
On his website?
Brad, thank you for bringing the rollers back. I used to get up at 4:30am back in high school just so I could use the rollers, apply makeup and dress for the day. I just love rollers so much! They make you feel so glamorous!
I'm delighted to see that much bigger sections of hair can be wrapped around the rollers and they will still be effective. Thanks!
I was always intimidated by roller, so thank you so much for showing the technique! 💕
