    Pan's Labyrinth is my favorite Guillermo Del Toro film, and certainly one of the best fantasy films I've seen.
    I played the lullaby on piano and made a tutorial.
    It's a fantastic piece of music very sad but very powerful.

    The piano plays her to another world
    The melody a backdrop to the harsh reality
    A forbidden waltz
    Blood on a white dress
    A strangers deadly kiss
    And when the music stops
    She is frozen in a painting
    Lovely to look at, never to touch
    And if you look close enough
    You can see the fear in her blue eyes

    I watched this movie yesterday, and I cried all night, I thought it would be a romantic fairy tale movie, but in the end it was only death and everything was just an illusion, I cried to remember that life is like a breath and we can die At any moment ... And worst of all, that there really is no fairy tale world, we have to accept the harsh reality...

    I love Pan’s Labyrinth for its darkness, sorrow, and brutality.
    It's a very emotional piece of music but as well beautiful that it can tell you a story about a little girl's quest to escape the cruelties of Spanish Fascism.

      This movie is a great example of the caudillos in Spain during this time and the parallels between the struggles of the people under the coming dictatorship which is brilliantly told "circularly" through the eyes of a little girl. I love this film and it's director.

    This piece always makes me cry, even the title makes me cry because it sums up Ofelia's story. It's a lullaby to help her sleep, to escape from reality to the fairytale land where she should return and I want to believe her fantasy world existed and she is the lost princess.

    • @alexlea896
      @alexlea896 7 лет назад +288

      Chris it's however you view the story. Personally, I believe all the magic was real, but Ofelia was the only one who could view/understand it because of her innocence, as shown in the scene where Ofelia is speaking to the Faun, but Captain Vidal sees her talking to thin air. When she was killed, her human body died, which was merely a vessel for the spirit of Princess Moanna, and since all three tasks were completed, she was brought back to her kingdom and reunited with her family.

    • @RodolpheJL

      I know you comented a year ago but I wanted you to keep in mind that Vidal had been drugged with sleep medication before chasing after Ofelia, and some say maybe that's why he didn't see the Faun.

All the girl wanted was love and happiness

    people say love is the most beautiful thing in the world, yet to me love is the most painful thing I've ever felt in this world. so much joy yet in a split second when the one you love most is gone, that love hurts so bad.

      Think of a dark room, would you be happy alone??? would you be happy scared???? Love is happiness in it's self you must love yourself to be happy with yourself it's the ones you love that make you happy when your sad and even though it hurts sometimes it's one of the only things worth fighting for in this world.

    • @PomegranatePomPom
      @PomegranatePomPom 7 лет назад +1

      I think a little the same things...I explain...
      The love is just a drug just that its not like really romantic its just your brain who say "Hey you do have a children" and nothing else...
      After I'm never fell in love...Maybe the words I was write are wrong for that.
      And the major part of people I was see in love after the end of there love story are complety sad and in missing of drug...

    • @smileyillusion4479
      @smileyillusion4479 7 лет назад +1

      Love is not a drug, rather a lifeline we as people need it breath it and live for it being alone with no love breaks a person down to there soul and cracks it. What else can be said to a person with no love you can't simply say sorry and move on rather love the person who breaks. I've been broken I still am I feel alone and the only people I live for are my family without them I'm nothing but a stitched together doll who amounts to nothing but pain. If they die I die never say love is a drug because if it was that would mean we could live without, but the truth is we are nothing without it we live on it.

    i once watched this movie when i was 6 maybe 7, and all i remember from it is the person with the eye hands and a girl crawling through a hole, i have been looking for the name of this movie for forever, 7 years later, i find this, thanks youtube

      Me too. I was also 6-7 when it came out and my mom watched it (while I was around). I was scared but intrigued. I re-watched it this year and I cry because of how sad the story is but it is still so beautiful.
      It's on Netflix so that's where I watched it :) you will love it.

    This song tears at my soul. It reminds me of all my past sorrow and anguish. It rips apart my reality and leaves me in the darkest parts of my mind. I am one with my pain and we dance to the slow melodic sound of this song. I see the face of the love that killed my heart, and the faces of those I've harmed. I am thrust into a pit of endless deapair and when I play this on my piano my hands tremble at the power each note holds. I cannot breathe, I cannot see.

    The movie made me cry did it make u cry 😭
    Here's a quote by me because this music moves me so much
    Life is like a fire it can die easily but you may also breath life into it (birth) you must feed it to keep it alive and if untended (abandoned) the fire slowly dies away and burns out with a final breath. The fire is meant to simblize life/people/animals
    I DON'T KNOW WHAT CAME OVER ME THIS IS A GOOD AND TRUE QUOTE I THOUGHT OF 😢
    Ok not so much of a quote more of like the truth

      Wow I love how you express yourself about life and how we live and yes, life is very fragile and if you don’t keep it lit, the fire will die out and then...... Poof the life is gone from that little flame that keeps us alive! Thanks you for sharing this comment, that was lovely and touching!❤️❤️❤️

      I’m a percussion player, and mallets is kinda like piano. Start with the top melody, and get that down first. Once you have the melody, you can try to add in the simple secondary parts. If you can do it, great! If you still can’t, continue to practice but in the mean time you still have a recognizable tune to show
