This is a nice overview, however I have some comments:
    1. One of the ethernet ports is going over USB. What's the performance penalty there?
    2. What's the switching capacity, can it handle 2 times full load on both ethernet ports?
    3. The packet loss indicates that there isn't a stable connection. Please investigate and see what's up with that - it can cause quite a lot of problems in the future.

how is this different from openWRT (or pfsense) installed on a standard pi 4 with and additional a usb to Ethernet connection?

I have a doubt ...im not much into these things..
Does open wrt sqm qos works like a regular router qos...
I mean if i use this and connect a router as access point to it..will the sqm qos works perfectly....as the device are not connected directly to the main openwrt device.

Teltonika RUTX08 is a much better solution, cheaper and 4 Gigabits Ports. Runs OpenWRT also. Regarding VPN, just use ZeroTier much more secure and no need to open ports on the Firewall, by the way the RUTX08 can run a ZeroTier docker container directly on the Router.

While ZeroTier does not require port forwarding I would actually say its is less secure then running your own wiregauard server. With your own wireguard server you only have to worry about wireguard being secure, with ZeroTier you actually have to worry about both WireGuard and ZeroTier being compromised

@@SpaceRexWill Thanks for the reply, ZeroTier do not needs WireGuard to function and you can setup it up between only two devices just for the purpose of synchronisation, the connections are completely encrypted, secure and with out the complexity of open ports on the firewall. so, yes is more secure than WireGuard or any other VPN service, anyway is just a suggestion. And, obvious the RUTX08 has all the others VPN services as well if you prefer to use them anyway. I like your channel keep up the good work.

    It's a shame it's not a 2.5gbit connections.

Totally agree with you. I have been looking for a pi with a 2.5 gig connection built like this one

@@SpaceRexWill Yeah, but the problem you need a processor that process 2.5 GB and is not PI that will do it.
