A group of us did a dirtbike traning course with Chris Birch a few years ago and he got every one who had them,to remove there bar risers. He also got every one to move there leavers up to just below horizontal. All the guys who used to get arm pump never had it again. As he mentioned; to many riders run the leavers to far down and causes to much strain in the forearm muscles. Also, as your wrists are at more of a right angle to your forearm, you wrists work like a extra shock absorber. If you look, most enduro and hard induro pro rideres run there leavers quite high. Give it a go if you suffer from arm pump. It may work for you.

Great feedback Russell, thanks for the comment. We have observed a lot of issues with the bar height and position as well. We have plans to create some future content revolving around proper handlebar setup and control components. Let us know what future content you would like to see! Happy riding!

I'm getting always issue with quadratus pronator. Those are the deep ones. I cannot hold clutch for a long time. This issue happening already for a long time. Was riding my motorcycle for the first time today. But on bicycle I am for at least 15 years. And always same issue. Recently bought theragun mini with different attachments (massager) and I found out that lots of muscles specifically in the left hand extremely tight. Started working on those regularly to get it to the most relaxed state.

Remember to breathe through your nose not your mouth. I tend to stop breathing sometimes when I’m tense while going over and obstacle. I try to remind myself to keep a steady breathing pace, it does make a difference.

Im physically fit, can ride my 300hp sea doo all day but my wrists are done after 10 minutes on my RM125. It’s hard not to take a sledge hammer to the engine case of it at this point.

I always hear about arm pump but my problem is my hands falling asleep do you have any advice for this or is this what you're talking about?

Besides the usual grip tank with legs/less deathgrip/weight the back of the bike over rocky-bumpy sections to float the front (big one for me - I think I was putting too much weight on my hands and not knowing it); maybe something like a combination of softer grips with flex bars (either Flexx or Twisted Engineering) and/or shock absorbing bar mounts might help? A Scott's Steering stabilizer helped me but more for deflection causing sudden wrist pain than anything else. I feel your pain though... I tend to lose finer motor control in my hands and get some pain/numbness across my knuckles. I've done all of the above except for the flexing bars. I'm also older (45) so could just be on a wild goose chase. Hahaha

@@SalSpaceKhan All sound like good suggestions thanks. I also am 47 and a drywaller by trade so I think I'm hoping for a fix that won't come. Cheers!

@@thehungryhunter3454 I totally get it. I'm new to riding dirt (2nd year) so I keep telling myself it's just inexperience but with a history of wrist and hand issues, I'm willing to look at anything for help and I feel like I'm making progress! Oddly enough, 2 other things that has also helped me personally is spending LOTS of time stretching my arms and hands (20-30 minutes!) AND telling to myself - out loud - to remember to breathe. Have such a bad habit of holding my breath when stuff gets technical or sketchy!
