Thanks very much for this. I've just started on my journey to learn to draw, and the Loomis Head has been giving me difficulties. I've set a goal for myself to draw Loomis Heads daily, from various angles, in a sketchpad for 30 days - to see where I stand after a month. I currently draw them quite sloppily, and often things look a bit "wrong" - but I plan to keep with it, and your video definitely helped my understanding a lot. Your expertise is very much appreciated!

I'm really glad this was helpful for you! The Loomis method can be quite confusing at the start because some of the lines will be hidden on some angles and even the book doesn't really give you pointers to note about aside from showing a drawing from a couple of angles. Even for me, there are times that my proportions ends up being weird doing the method. So I would rely on my instinct and break the rules if necessary. Using the foam ball as a demonstration I did in the video helped me study it better.
If you have a drawing topic you'd like me to discuss, let me know!

Thanks. I know the basics of drawing the face. The proportions are ok. But after I started drawing with this and incorporated it into my experience and I feel I’ve improved greatly within a few weeks

Thank you so much! I’ve been having really bad art block and I’ve recently seen my art skills going down. Today I finally had the motivation to actually do something about it and you really helped! I’ve been avoiding this method for a while because it looked hard but you showed me and now this is the method I’ll use from now on. Thank you!❤️❤️

I have a personal question for you...
Where in h*ll have you been???
I need to go back to the basics, but as a ADHD individual, I can't stand people talking for too long or overcomplicating stuff (because I'm really good at that myself already).
You just came in like: Forget everything you know... Do these 3 steps and build from there.
    Wow! Thank you so much!!
    Absolutely subscribing.

I totally feel you. I really do my best to keep it short while packing it with as much important info as I could.
I personally can't stand long winded videos that takes so long to get to the point though I get why a lot of content creators do it because of the watch time.
Anyway, if you have any topics you'd like me to discuss, let me know!

That's fair. I mentioned in the video that this method works better with muscular structure. I wouldn't honestly suggest it if your style is more anime.

I'm a beginner who's still getting far onto the fundamentals, while I'm doing that still, i also have been learning how to draw front heads and I've gotten...kinda okay at it (note that they're just blank faces with no actual facial features). i'm still really bad at consistency and variety when it comes to them, but i'll try to improve.
i would like to go into 3/4 view heads next but I'm having a lot of trouble when it comes to bringing the forehead down near the eye area (the little curve in) and the cheekbone...i wish i could explain it better but i hope you understand me enough, i think I'm going to have a bit of trouble with this for a while now but I'm actively learning how to improve, so far most of your videos are really great and easy to understand for beginners such as myself :D

Hi! I'm glad that my videos are helpful to you. Faces in a downward angle is really challenging and I admit I struggle with it from time to time.
The best practice I can suggest to you is look for reference images and then analyze the basic shapes it forms by drawing over it. Doing so can give you a lot of insight.
If you can find 3D models that's even better because you can rotate it then take a screenshot and study it.
Let me know if there's something you'd really like to learn and I'll see what video I can make about it.
      Keep up the hustle! 💪
