The baby before going home her umbilical cord tested positive for meth. Why in the world was she sent home with her parents
Yup. Obviously they still think babies and small children are just like disposable lighters. When they are done with them they just toss them away.
Maybe overworked doctors or staff that go over that data.
But also there is a huge problem on finding people to take care of a baby. Give them love and parts of themselves, knowing the biological parents will probably get that child back. Also the people willing to do that. Some of them end up being evil shits. It's all a mess. And all the USA politics care about it weather to abolish abortion or give abortion to his money people as possible. No one cares to think about how to care for the children that are being born today!
That's crazy. When I had my son I was on Medicaid and they had to send a nurse to my house a week after I brought him home to do a check up. It's wild to me that every state doesn't do that, it would probably help so man babies.
Side note: I was not on drugs or anything like that, they told us it was just a mandatory check up that they do here in Utah. I was glad they did because she helped me with breastfeeding feeding because my son was having trouble latching.
It happens all the time. So f sad. Our world is full of idiots
The hospital had an obligation to report it to the police and cps.
Wow to pick drugs over your 8 month old. Horrific.
😮😮😮😮😮
Drugs do
The hospital needs to be held accountable for sending the baby home with the parents. They're negligence to allow the baby at the hands of deplorables is criminal.
ONCE AGAIN CPS LET THESE KIDS DOWN!!!! 😢😢😢
FIRST THE PARENTS & FAMILY LET HER DOWN
Once again, the parents let these kids down
@@TararyzeMcgexactly what I’m always telling people. CPS is a job. The parents obligation is beyond and they’re the ones that failed their own blood.
CPS's job is to make sure that the parents are taking care of their children and keeping them safe. Yes the family is absolutely responsible for this. However, this is NOT the first case where CPS DID NOT protect a child/children and it ended in a heinous crime.
We all know that there are negligent and abusive families out there. I grew up in one. I know first hand how badly CPS can screw up someone's life. I was severely abused by numerous family members until the age of 14.
My CPS case worker and my social worker both ignored every incident and never reported anything to social services or law enforcement.
I was taken from my mother's custody 2 months before my 15th birthday after my stepfather tried to rape me. I had been abused for years before that happened. I had run away many times after being abused by my mother but my CPS case worker and social worker would just return me to the home despite visible facial injuries.
It took me being molested and almost raped for law enforcement to remove me from the home because my social worker and CPS case worker NEVER filed reports on the numerous times I ran away after being physically assaulted.
I finally had the courage to advocate for myself by calling the police, with the support of my friends. My friends stayed with me during and after the call because my stepfather told me that if I said anything, he would kill me.
He was arrested but only served 15 months of weekends. Had CPS done their job and filed reports about the years of abuse, he and my mother would've served time in prison.
@@TararyzeMcgtheir parents let them down. Then cps let tgem down. Drugs is the ruin of this country
This baby should have never gone home with these monsters. This poor baby never had a chance at life. Your child should always come first.
So CPS had taken three of the kide but decided that a baby could be left in the custody of the drug dealers and user mothers care. 😒 WTF😡🤬🤬
Exactly but people some people I should say don't want to hold CPS accountable for their consistent failures over the years decades I should say
@@deadmanswife3625 CPS isn’t the actual human beings birthing them. Stop with all that blaming.
WTF is right.
Some heads need to roll.
It seems like more than the druggie parents are responsible for the baby's death.
The hospital should never have released her and CPS really dropped the ball.
Like someone else said, what were they thinking?
After taking away the other children what would make anyone think that baby would be safe with those parents??
Especially after the baby tested positive for meth at birth.
This is criminal.
Everyone involved is responsible.
So glad your covering this horrible crime. I live in Kentucky and drugs are horrible in this state. Theses people need to be charged with the full intent of the law. Prison and no parole
I live in Kentucky as well & it's pathetic what goes on with all these drugs & how these children ARE NOT BEING PROTECTED!! 😢
SAME-Central KY & its sickening how the system continues to fail our children!@lisacook1964
They are bad in southwestern va region too 😢
It’s everywhere but takes hold of these small rural towns like crazy
It’s all over honey. The town I live in used to be a beautiful area. Is the reason why my mother moved me out of a large city. Now the drugs are ramped here.
In Greenup KY here I agree w all of u drugs has destroyed families and homes but let's talk bout how many innocent kids has suffered from that kind of home life Where is CPS what's it going to take start protecting the innocent and strict punishment handed down to baby killers anyone who kills or hurts kids shouldn't have no mercy RIP sweet baby
Oh my God what is with all these “parents” these days? All these cases with poor innocent babies is truly heartbreaking 💔
There will be a LOT more of these cases to come with your new anti abortion laws.
Actually, they are not parents. They are children having babies.
@@charleslaurice that’s why I put parents in quotes
@@cathyridley3005she didn’t want an abortion
@@cathyridley3005so ignorant… all this escalated with the plandemic… people lost their jobs and a few hundred dollars here or there is not enough to cover bills… never mind how freaking crazy people began to feel because they were trapped in their homes … Tell me you don’t know the facts … without telling me you don’t know the facts.
Lord the things that so many law enforcement have to witness when it comes to dead children.
Right?!?!?!! The amount of PTSD they deal with every day.
Heartbreaking! I will never be able to understand how anyone can kill a child, especially your own. 🙏
As a society we have to do so much better. Justice for baby Miya…. for all who let her down in this life 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Poor little mite.. I'm thinking about the life she endured while she was alive. It's sad that she never stood a chance.
Justice for baby Miya.
In Colorado, there were a few instances I knew of personally where the hospital refused to release the baby to the parents, thank goodness. The babies were adopted locally, and one of the bio-moms, with whom I was friendly, visited her daughter regularly. Why do hospitals release babies to obviously dangerous parents?
Justice for Baby Miya🩷 This is absolutely devastating 💔
All those other kids had already been taken from the home. This baby should have never left the hospital after testing positive for meth! On another video I heard the State Trooper say "If youre going to choose drug pipes over baby bottles, dont have kids!!💯
Also, addiction can feel completely over powering. I have watched meth addiction up close and personal… it completely took over them, it’s really difficult to even imagine until you are close to it. I personally don’t know, but this happened in my nuclear family.
This beautiful baby should have never been in this woman’s custody!
Why don’t people who are addicted to drugs give their child up for adoption. Heartbreaking.
Meal ticket Free Housing free food free Heat free Transportation free cell phone free medical I could go on
Also, so many of them say "my kids are my life" or "I don't know what I'd do without my kids" when they're talking about them. It's like they're are trying to convince people that they care. So if they gave them up, they wouldn't be able to say those things all the time.
Unfortunately, I know from experience of what I speak. I know several addicts and have a few relatives that are as well. And if u watch an arrest or any footage on documentary that covers interrogations with an addict, it's like their go-to comments, right off the bat. 🙄
So many people would have gave that baby girl all the love in the world, yet people like these that can't leave drugs alone get to have them. I will never understand why parents like this will not give the child up for adoption!
8 months old. Literally heartbreaking
So tragic. Justice for baby Miya!
This is truly sickening 😢please get justice for this little 👶baby. 🙏🙏🙏
If your heart ‘literally’ broke, hopefully you are on your way to/at the hospital!
Why have a child if youre not going to love the child in every capacity? This is heartbreaking. Thanks for the sneak peek!
Especially when someone like me cannot have children it's very heartbreaking why can't they just give them to someone if they don't want to take care of them
government helps support this babies= $$$ for drugs
Have you ever heard of getting pregnant by accident but not wanting the baby?
@@evaarroyo100well give the baby up for adoption. Next time use protection.
@@tynikagrant6995 that baby probably suffered a horrible 9 months in the womb with all the drugs. Perfect example for a safe, nonjudgmental abortion !!
Don’t they drug test newborns in KY, if the parents have a history of drug use? 🤦🏽♀️
Yes how do you think the baby tested positive after birth
Yes but there should've been visits by CPS, after discharge, to check on Miya and drug test parents. 😢
I live in a neighboring state and as far as I know everyone gets drug tested through the umbilical cord blood. After my son was born the nurse told me he had the same blood type as me and when I asked how she knew and she said it was from the cord blood tests.
Thank you detective!
Lets call it Parent Protective Services and not Child.
They deserve life in prison, no parole.
This is horrific, but I feel like her life with these monsters would have been truly awful. I hope Miya is in a much better world than this ❤
I can barely hear the guy asking the detective questions
Defense attorney nitpicking is ridiculous! Is she trying to imply that there was no abuse? When the mother used drugs throughout pregnancy 😢????😢😢😢😢😢
Did the mother get drug tested before take miya home???
Apparently Miya's umbilical cord was tested, and came back positive for meth. That should have been enough to remove her from the bio parents.
You did a fantastic job detective!🙌
This is horrific. Did these animals just leave this poor child's body decomposing in the home? What a tragedy
God bless this little angel.
It's sickening that majority of these comments are blaming CPS, no it's 100 percent moms fault. CPS did not choose drugs over baby. Doing drugs is a choice, it starts with a choice. Stop with Addict victim mentality.
Right again !!!!
🎯
That’s not the point. DCF/CPS is *notorious* for “dropping the ball” & children “falling through the cracks”. It isn’t “victim mentality” with the baby tested positive for m3th and they allowed the baby to go home with the parents. They could’ve PREVENTED this, as they could’ve prevented many many similar outcomes like this.
I agree although cos usually don't help at all
The point is others in the system knew and did NOT protect this baby. First responsibility is BOTH parents, not just the mother, so mom failed, dad failed, the hospital and the system failed… soooo many failed this baby.
Addiction… it 💯 turns people into something else … and meth is completely over takes a person at some point. I’ve watched it happen to a close family member (in my home).
That baby had two parents and as born in a hospital and … and … and… they ALL failed her. I can only hope 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼that her death now has saved her from a horrific life… that would have been highly traumatic.
Honestly, did it take letting these Evils keep & murder this baby to investigate their Evil doings! FFS🤬
I’ll never understand people
Gave up on all of this years ago, It's too much of a hassle and brain pain to bother with trying just something we can't do but we can be absolutely sure of ourselves and our own moral compass thankfully not having any desire to (drugs or no drugs) be a liability to our loved ones causing the ultimate disaster of ending a life that is not ours to begin with and especially one we have been part of creating ... sad and tragic for the ones that could have been there to help but for the acts of selfishness ❤
Heartbreaking 💔 I wonder why CPS wasn't making visits after Miya was discharged? Parents should've been drug tested after mom&baby were discharged.
She should've been placed in foster care imo.
RIP Miya 💖
What makes it worse is the tested the baby before they left the hospital and it came back positive yet they still released the child to her
Wow, my son’s father yelled at me at the hospital and I couldn’t leave until I met with CPS due to his outburst ;they were concerned with our baby and I safety . Yet she was sent home with meth in her and the baby’s system! You can’t make this up!
God bless this detective 🙏🏼😔
Omg,can we at least let kids live? Apparently we can't even do that as humans....
That poor baby 😭
This is where I live and I just want to say thank you for covering this tragic case 😢
Hospital should be SUED money put in trust for other 3 children. Miya should’ve Never been allowed to leave hospital w them. In FL testing of placenta, mom, and baby are done immediately if drugs found in system they call police and cps. Your not discharged until those test come back and are negative. The hospital failed therefore are liable in her passing. Should be sued n funds put in trust for siblings they should all be locked up in gen pop for life I said what I said!
Good grief!!! Listening to the defense attorney try to place blame on someone else in the home 🏠… no … momma was positive for drugs giving birth, 🤰 baby is positive for meth … the house has meth and other drugs … the parents ARE responsible.
And WTF about the grandparents letting the other kids go back into a trap house???!!!! Blood on their hands too.
These two need to be in prison for the rest of their lives. That sweet little baby was so precious. May God hold it in His glorious hands now. 🙏❤️🙏
I'm only kidding but here's what I was thinking stick them in a tiny room with an unlimited supply of meth and let them kill themselves plenty of people die doing what they enjoy the most why leave them out?
NO EXCUSES !!!
Why is this not on live stream?
Wait, the defense attorney didn’t even know to stand up and go to the podium. Wow that is terrible, embarrassing and so many other things.
So the baby dies and they just sit on their bed, don't stop getting high and toss trash pile on top of her.....I mean..... prison for life no expectations.
It's crazy how fertile some junkies are. And their ability to carry a pregnancy is astounding too; especially when so many women have to take progesterone and other medications to keep a pregnancy.
They probably have s€x everyday 😅
😢TRAINSPOTTING IS REAL
It really is 😢
I wish this channel had more than a one camera shoot or pan the courtroom more.
I had weed in my system and had a cps worker in my room right after. Difference was i threw up 24/7 and my drs defended my use because medicine was $600 i was told at the pharmacy. My son is a sweetie. My daughter before him i managed not to smoke but i wasn't near as sick or for as long....
But meth in the babies cord! Wow just wow.
What does that mean? Meth in cord?
@@DEEP3X402it means the mom ingested meth and just like food , the meth was traveling from the mom to the infant in the womb via the umbilical cord.
@DEEP3X402 it means that while the mother was pregnant she was actively doing meth. When a pregnant mother does meth, or any illegal drugs, those drugs then pass through the placenta to the baby, which go into the embelical cord. When children are born the doctors take a piece of the cord and test it for any illegal drug use.
🖤🖤 Thank you Kentucky State Police for your hard work to find baby Miya 🖤🖤 I support the Thin Gray Line ❤
6/21/24 Liability on Hospital to notify CPS of babies first urine or stool checked for drugs, while at hospital. Test showed positive, after d/c, then unable to locate (false statement!) She’s clearly unfit, lost kids already. Can sell and use $ off profits.
Once again an innocent baby let down by everyone around them 😢
This is on the mother the father and the hospital
Are you all not catching on?! The fact is that the charges don’t match the “crimes”. Maybe the parents were druggies & sloppy but they have to be charged properly.
This lawyer should speak up can’t hear him! He’s whispering! Annoying!
Yes! He is driving me crazy with the mumbling
Court TV, would it be possible to put the state in the title? Ty
It's in Ohio county, Kentucky.
I hope that this prosecutor isn't going to be handling the murder trial.......he sounds half dead!!!

It is heartbreaking you moster parents put drugs by this baby

Is it me or is it damn near impossible to hear the prosecutor ask questions?!?
The old guy is taking notes.Or maybe he is just writing a letter to his mother
You pick drugs or the baby
The parents are the one that had drugs by the baby they are the ones that hurt this baby
She did have a chance of life
Both oarents should becout to jail for good gid is going to puish you for puting drugs by the baby
