Students, even if you don't drive go get yourself a valid ID card.
Students can get a state ID with their student i.d.
They have one they want them to apply for a different special one not a state ID a "Voter ID" but your NRA membership card will count for some reason
In Europe we vote on Sunday, which makes it easier for everybody. And we get our ID in the local city hall at age 12. No need to apply for it, it's automatic. You just get a letter or an email to tell you to pick it up. I don't get why some countries make it do complicated.

@@katybee3891 The ideal way to vote is using a national ID card with fingerprint reader as a confirmation/signature. Database of votes should be centralized into a government website where voters can login and confirm who they voted for and have the option to report fraud if they see otherwise.

Robert Frost in most States you can buy a gun from a private seller with no ID requirements. You can't really compare voting to gun purchases - here in Florida Licensed dealers need to identify, obtain the federally required form, submit the federal background check before they sell a gun. You can't do all that for voting.

In an electoral system where the popular vote winner loses ignoring what the majority wants is a broken democratic system.
Eliminate caucuses, eliminate delegates system, eliminate electoral college, eliminate districts.
National primaries should take place on the same date for both parties. If one of the candidates obtains the 50 % +1 of the votes it becomes the candidate of that party, if not, then the first and second place run for a final round to select the party's candidate.
The popular vote should be the ultimate goal, since the government should be elected by the majority (50 % +1) PERIOD!
Electoral college exists because more then half the population live in 3 cities. It also ensures that who ever is running evenly campaigns in every state. Not only that it also prevents ballot stuffing. All of the liberal states are 100% guilty of ballot stuffing as is Republican ran states they all do it. Its a check and balance. For example France goes buy popular vote and people are rioting because he passed regulations that wouldn't effect people living in the city, however his policies greatly effected people who live in the rural area's. A 15% tax hike in fuel barley effect people who live in the city because they use public transportation. But it greatly effected people in rural communities who don't have that luxury. Another thing, corruption would become way worse than it is. if we didn't have the electoral college the president would play in the hands of the billionaires that live in those 3 cities. Look at a map of the election of 2016. The whole map is practically red except for California, New York, and Chicago and a few others.
The popular vote does win, it's just the popular vote of the individual state.

I literally cannot find or have heard of a case where someone couldn’t vote. It’s not hard to get identification in the US at all. However, the voting right laws proposed by the left are insane. Gerrymandering is a valid concern, but voter suppression is absolutely not.
This is so unthinkable in western Europe. And quite shocking. Including the walk to the polling station the whole process takes about ten minutes. In the Netherlands we get a voters ID sent to our homes by mail two weeks in advance, we hand it over to a volunteer at the polling station and show our passport or EU identity card. Then we vote with a red pencil, put the ballot in a box and done. Passport or ID card is not an Issue because virtually everyone has either one of them. The most complicated part of voting is actually deciding which party to vote for, we have proportional representation, so I can choose between about twenty political parties.
Most everyone here in the US has an ID of some kind too, when people say this kind stuff it's untrue. They say black people aren't smart enough to get an ID, or they don't know how to use the internet or how to find the DMV(please where u get id's). This is so untrue! Black people in the US are more than capable of doing all these things and more and for anyone to say different is a racist in my eyes.
You can't believe the US liberal media, it's a part of a plan to divide people by race and wealth status. It's all bull. You have to do your own research from a multitude of sources, then use your own common sense to get the truth.

One question: There are so many students from abroad. If student I.D is taken as a valid identity card then isn't possible that outsiders could influence US voting result? And if I am not wrong not all students study and have their home residence in the same district. So wouldn't making student I.D legal make it possible for student to vote in two places?
Places that you vote have a registry of registered voters that are to vote there. You cant just show up and vote anywhere by anyone just because you have an ID. Normally when you vote you give them your name, and address and they check to see if you are on the list.

This month I had problems at my local election office with changing my party. Had I not been assertive repeating and reframing over and over holding my ground I would not got what I wanted. They would have sent me a pamphlet explaining this years independent votings rights that the office made. Blocking. Finally I said then they changed the state laws here then we are like California. She had to answer.. we aren't California. Wow...then she said I'll send you a email so I could change my party to Democratic ticket..... I think they are watching everything..scary..... Historically, I am a old time Republican 30 years a moderate. Most women are moderates.. In my state you have to be a Democrat or Republican to vote in on the primary. If independent you can't always vote on everything. Be warned. I agree 100% we are loosing civility with staunch republicans. I know a form verbally and emotionally..

I live 30min. From Prairiview and she is not lying. TEXAS A and M student are 99% not black in College Station. Then you go down the road to Prairiview A and M and the mayority are Blacks

Never mind how it targets, Democrats HAVE to strategize how to get around it. You cannot wait till you're 'elected' because the GOP plan is never. If they have put up a roadblock, give people the tools to beat it. Motivate and help people register. Voter ID ... start helping people GET acceptable photo ID. Arrange transportation if they move polls etc, etc. THEN if you get in CHANGE the laws.

You ever had problems getting things you wanted? Stop being self centered, some people have busy lives and need more time and more incentives to vote. Just want to say from other perspective. You have pre election vote, you can vote by mail that more that fantastic. You should establish an independent body to conduct elections. In India we have the Election commission, and the commissioner cannot be influenced by politicians. During election season he becomes the second most powerful man in the country.

Bruh, if you did just a little bit of reading and looked into the issue of gerrymandering, along with all the arbitrary rules imposed on voting that makes it impossible to vote for a good chunk of people, you'd know that this is more than a book ad. A student ID to vote? How do we know that you're a legal citizen of the United States?
If the person with a student ID wasn't a citizen their name wouldn't be on the registered voter roster being that if you're not a citizen you can't register to vote. Having a state ID doesn't even necessarily prove that you're a citizen anyway. Voter fraud is so rare that it basically doesn't happen.

@@userhbiron1806 Poverty is more common on average in minority communities. Finding the time to get appropriate id when working multiple jobs or just being unable to afford the fee for the id would be a problem for many people.
Not saying that voter ID by itself is bad but if we're going to implement it we need to address poverty along with it to maintain the integrity of our democracy.

I have always been a proponent of voting, it’s our right, it’s our obligation. You can do anything on line, get your car plates, renew your drivers license, buy a car, buy a house. The list goes on and on. There is a reason for making voter registration difficult and it’s as plain as the nose on your face, and that reason is control. Control who gets in office and you can control policies. I believe voter Identification is essential, but it shouldn’t be more difficult than getting a drives license, passport, or any other form of verifiable identification. So let’s cut the nonsense so Americans can exercise their right and VOTE!

If you have a minimum wage job, work more than one job, no car, use unreliable public transportation, have no money to get educated, can’t take a day off of work without fear of getting fired, have kids, no support system, live in a food desert, poor educational system. Then yes you are a victim. Most ppl can’t go and get id’s or vote because they have to work or take care of their kids, and many more reasons why. This isn’t just a race issue it more of a low income issue. And this is all real news.
