@@r65400 See mate, the reasons vary from person to person. What I feel sucks as of IIIT-A, is in addition to the hectic curriculum, the gradings done here are relative. Now, it may seem a much trivial factor to you, as you may want to work hard and outwork everyone of your peers, and so was my idea. Now, here comes the catch. No matter how hard you grind, or work to elevate your standards above the common level, the curriculum and the grading system will definitely manage to entangle you in a mess, leaving quite less room for extra curricular or even out of the course work, that you may wish to pursue. Let's assume you got an interest in finance or maybe algorithmic trading.. You will need to literally bust your heads throughout the tenure here to get your shit out so that you may pursue your choices. As of me, it was quite my frustration that leapt out in advising anyone IIIT-A.. But you are definitely welcome, provided you can manage your time and passions well.

Firstly it totally depends on you weather you can puch on and balance jee with acads. I am saying this because there are some students from our institute who done the same and they go into different institutions like IIT Bombay. But in general perspective in IIIT Allahabad acads is very hectic therefore it's quite touch to handle. Again I am saying - It totally depends on you and your will power. Thank you

Depends on u tbh. There are ppl in my batch(2026) who have gotten better ranks even after studying during compressed semester so it is possible.
