Tourists make terrible decision - Shore Pounded!

- I was out filming in Laguna on a triple overhead day, when I saw a few tourists heading to the shore break. After entering the water, they immediately received a beat down from Uncle Shore-Pound! Life guards ran in to pull them to safety.
This could have ended far worse, and should be a good example to others to think before getting in the water.

The age old art of roasting tourists at the beach. Passed down from generation to generation. Thankful my parents taught me well.
Can't seem to avoid the haters making comments about everything it's gotten so out of hand geez. Anyway, lil tubby is lucky it wasn't worse for him, some people have no idea how powerful the ocean is and how quickly things can go south.
Chubbs almost croaked out there. Been surfing/bodyboarding since I was 11, 47 now. Ive had a few days double/triple overhead over the years. One at Montauk over the rock reef. When you drop in over those huge car sized rocks and they boil, your ass puckers for sure as you scream down the face. People in the midwest have no clue of the ocean's power. Can take your life real fast. Respect always!

Got nowhere. Wonder what it might have been like if they'd actually slipped out between waves. Our own little Florida beach break has caused one neck/back injury death (50+ tourist from NY State), two years ago, on not a big day, in front of the lifeguard stand. With us, a 4' day, windy or not, can provide decent family entertainment Boogie boards, typically with a dad to serve as pusher. Invariably best around now when there's been enough waves to flatten out the beach profile a bit, We only have maybe 3 weeks left with any hope of spring surf, then it's flat for the summer.
Fin removal, at a certain age, can be messy, at least if dumb enough to get caught in a busy swash zone with tethers still on.

Had to comment regarding the bigger balls statement. Unfortunately they are dumb, unaware and out of shape. Common sense would have been to not go in the water.

Clearly ur not surfers, more like skurfers. The ocean welcomes all, even those who don't know how to love it.
