- Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.
In this episode we work on finishing up the ProfileFollowSection of our profile page. To do this we needed to setup a new slice to handle globally storing our search terms when we click on the magnifying glass icon on a users profile, and also navigate you to the explore page. Once this was setup, we recreated the profile follow button so that it could be reused across other components as we move forward. And finally, we setup a new popup component for the more horizontal icon inside of the profile page. We setup the general structure and css in this episode, but will have to handle closing it, and setting up a few more svg icons for it in the next episode.
