How strange! That's the very part I waited for! And I saw someone else pointed to that specific part two! Wow, you think you are the only one who paid attention to that last piece, and find out somebody else found it special just you! Strange world!!!
A blast of childhood memories. As a kid I always loved that ending melody with the trolley card. It really takes me back to a more carefree time. I'm blessed to have grown up with this..
I don’t think the supplementary funding credits were originally part of this episode because those include “PUBLIC TELEVISION STATIONS,” and this episode comes from the NET era. I doubt that such a funding credit existed back then.
Oh God, this takes me back to when I was young and Living on a Farm in Canton South Dakota, I remember sitting on the floor in the living room of our farmhouse in front of the TV, and just watch this wonderful show, I also remember watching old school PBS Shows, Like this one, and, 1. Sesame Street. (Before it was Screwed Up). 2. Shining Time Station. (The Ringo Starr Years, and the George Carlin (R.I.P) Years). 3. Long Ago & Far Away. (that has the Great and National Treasure Actor James Earl Jones Hosting It). 4. Reading Rainbow. 5. Star Lore. 6. Tales from the Treehouse. 7. Once Upon a Time. (I'm not talking about a TV series of the same name). 8. Is-Land Treasure. 9. STORYLORDS. 10. The Letter People. 11. Square One TV. 12. KIDSONGS. 13. WONDERWORKS. 14. Newton's Apple. 15. Barney & Friends. 16. ZOOM. 17. Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat. Animated Series. 18. Wishbone. 19. DRAGONTALES. Animated Series. 20. ZABOOMAFOO. 21. KRATT'S Creatures. 22. Newton's Apple. 23. Bill NYE the Science Guy. 24. CYBERCHASE. Animated Series. 25. Anne of Green Gables the Series. Animated Series. 26. Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? 27. Where In time is Carmen Sandiego? It's such a shame that Kids today don't even know what good shows are these days.

0:31 Me: Hey, give it a rest up there, will you? Announcer: What? I’m just telling them who made the show possible. Me: Who are you kidding, pal? They saw the sponsor, they know who made it possible. Announcer: Well, yeah, but……. Me: Just leave the credits alone!
0:46 the most beautiful and emotional part of the whole melody. Thank you for posting this bittersweet, nostalgic, childhood memory.

0:44 Always made me sad as a kid. Brings back a lot of memories.
I've forgotten how haunting the trolley and episode number end card music really was. I think this is the first time in 40 years I've seen that card.
Rip Fred Rogers (1928-2003)
Best ending. I always did like that ending with the trolley and those numbers.
It’s amazing how little soundbites like this bring you back to a completely different time. It was a time that was kinder, gentler, and simpler.

They just don't make kids shows like this anymore.
the PBS tri-heads plasters the 1970 logo (which consisted of the words "Public Broadcasting Service" with v/o by MacDonald Carey).
