Lovely Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you ever tried - Paneevelyn Swinging Clubsman (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a great one off product for revealing an effortless golf swing technique minus the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my friend after many years got astronomical results with it.
Perhaps one of the best tips ever. Works on angles coordination and timing. And (at least at controlled speeds) you can use it indoors. Just perfect. Thanks
I'm left handed golf/cricket, switch baseball, but right handed all racquet sports and writing, and struggle with the drills here but I'm persevering. Great videos thx.
Yep - all flippers out there pay heed - Russell many thanks for your fresh approach to golf youtube. I get a bit twitchy when I see you do a deliberate flip hit as I almost have a nervous reaction as I played like that for a long time ~ here is to no flips 2019 👍👍
Thank you for this! I am at my wits end with a flip that has found a home in my swing. My handicap has skyrocketed from a 4 to a 12 this season due to this constant flip. All toes, thins and hooks and no GIR to speak of. These drills, for the first time, are helping me feel the action of both and get much more solid through impact. I hopeful it will crack the code and break the functional breakdown. Thank you!
Love the video Russell, such a key position and understanding of the how the hands work in the golf swing. Especially that impact position you show is key. Cheers, Troy
Simple and easy drill for most walkers who insist on dragging golf clubs around a field with them, great video thank you, looking forward to the next walk.
Really enjoying these mini series. On a slightly different slant , I think a video on the importance and correct execution of side-bend on the backswing and downswing would be very useful....
Does the lead arm and shoulder control hitting a draw and fade or the right I know both are involved in the swing but I have trouble hitting a draw please help thanks for ur many great videos
Excellent ! Would like to see you, at some time, address where the bottom of the swing arc is, i.e., is it at your lead shoulder armpit, or or centered at your breastbone, how should this be determined and how it might affect your swing ( depending on the club you are using ). Thanks
Will the proper rotation of body result in proper hands/wrist conditions or do you feel that needs to be trained first and better rotation might be a byproduct of proper hand/wrist conditions which might force you to rotate better.
I am going to point you to Russell’s building a new swing ~ it highlights the basics to work on first and how to build on them ~ from memory learning a punch shot is one of the first items.....it involves learning correct backswing move/loading the swing /low point /compression/club head control -qualities that are required for good iron play . Russell’s back catalogue is extensive - good luck
HI Russell, If you retain the back of the right wrist do you not shorten the radius of the swing? If so. how do you ensure you hit the ball whilst retaining the right wrist angle coming into the shot/
Do your hand have to be square on impact so the club face squares on impact my hand are open on impact so my club face is open on impact I struggle fixing this
Best teacher on RUclips. These are great tips. Thanks Russell

Just tried that right hand drill and it really does highlight how the trail elbow works to keep the club on plane. Thankfully it looks like I’m good.

Thanks 👍
Thank you sir I've always wondered what my trail hand is suppose to do to keep clubface on plane
Excellent explanation of each independent hand. This is very helpful. Thank you.
Would I still keep that right hand hinge with a 4&3 hybrid?
I have work to do as my right/trail arm is weak since I'm a natural lefty playing right . Great Video
Well thought out and very smart foundational info. Thank you
as always brilliant content and brilliantly explained, cheers Russell keep up the good work..................

Clear, simple and effective; and a great drill to take to the range. Thank you.
i didnt understand a word of what he said
Very interesting this has helped me to understand the hands more. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Great lesson thanks 😀👌
3:33 one handed club twirl, nice.
Such great tips, I want your swing!
Does the lead arm and shoulder control hitting a draw and fade or the right I know both are involved in the swing but I have trouble hitting a draw please help thanks for ur many great videos
This is too subjective to comment without seeing a swing. Sorry
Once again a tip you can take to the range and actually see/feel the results. Thank you so much Russell
Thank you Russell...you are a wow

I have discussed this but will be doing this again at some point soon
You will find a lot of info in Russell’s back catalogue there are usually a mini series on topics such as low point /shaping shots etc
Love it.
3:38 one handed club twirl #toursauce
On autopilot as well.
Haha ~ good one
Fantastic video
Best tip ever thanks

I’m not sure either go hand in hand which is why it’s best to know what to fo

I'm getting the right hand some way to go with the left bud 👍👍👍
HI Russell,
If you retain the back of the right wrist do you not shorten the radius of the swing? If so. how do you ensure you hit the ball whilst retaining the right wrist angle coming into the shot/
Well, the right wrist would straighten but wouldn’t be completely straight at impact, the left forearm rotating would help square the club face
excellent stuff
This makes sense
great vidoe
Do your hand have to be square on impact so the club face squares on impact my hand are open on impact so my club face is open on impact I struggle fixing this
I suppose this would depend on the type of grip
Do you still do free swing analysis? Lol I’m about 3 years late
Brilliant
The club is turning in my hands. Is this due to flipping and improper use of hands per this video?
Possibly you can send swings into the Instagram page if you would like to
@@russellheritagegolf Too cold yet...later.
Wow wow
Great
Jeez he gets better contact than me with one arm 🤔
Yes skip a rock and left handed frisbee at the same time with a angled spine. Not easy to master.
exc
I don’t want to get flicky.
1:22 When his one-handed chip demonstrating poor technique is still better than 90% of your chips...
This doesn’t explain the release of the club with the right hand. You can’t hold off the release with the right hand in a real, full golf swing
Not arguing that this isn't good and accurate info, but just way too complex to roll into a simple swing thought or feeling.
Complete waste of my time
