    Every year SEC fans say something like - our mid tier teams are better than any other team in any other conference, or OSU would go 6-6 in the SEC, or something similar. Then OSU destroys their third best team and suddenly it’s radio silence. And always remember that what is good for the SEC is good for ESPN. • @matthewhuszarik4173
      @matthewhuszarik4173 Месяц назад +2

      It isn’t so much the SEC. National media believes there are no ugly losses in the SEC. Because supposedly every team is at least good, well every SEC team isn’t good. So they are significantly over ranked and they will get spanked when they play other great teams. You are right the NIL is a great equalizer between the conferences if not between teams in the conferences. Right now the Big 10 has the advantage overall because of their better TV reach and as a result greater TV revenues.

Bringing in Penn St. Nebraska, Rutgers and Maryland, and then USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington was a genius move. He sewed up the top four TV markets and five of the top ten. Not only that they are by far the richest markets by average incomes as well. The Big 10’s games are an advertisers dream.

Outside of the Ivy League, the Big 10 Conferences resources a monstrous in comparison to the SEC, which the SEC is getting mad that the Big 10 is rightly taking care of their teams player development through NIL, transfer portal, and the Research and Development departments that assist the Big 10 Football programs. Michigan beat Alabama was the key to dismantling the SEC's 20-year run of dominance!

    I'm an Ohio State fan and thank you for pointing out Will Howard was somewhat trash most of the season. All these local reporters are grilling Ryan Day all season about running the ball which made him lose The Game. I've been complaining about Will Howard was trash at throwing the deep ball and he wasn't recognizing when his outside receivers had one on one coverage before the snap. Unless a team has two high safeties one of those receivers will only have single coverage. Will Howard should've been throwing the ball like that all season with the receivers he has. They wouldn't have lost to Oregon if he was balling like he was in that Tennessee game.

    Disney (the parent company of ESPN) paid $3 Billion dollars for rights to SEC football games. They are going to do EVERYTHING they can to get as many SEC teams as far as they can because they have to recoup that investment through ad revenue. In exchange, SEC teams can turn around and run their mouth to parents and students by saying, "You're going to be on ESPN every Saturday, so you are more likely to get seen by NFL scouts!", thus giving them a recruiting advantage over conferences that have no such agreement. The downside for Disney/ESPN is that with the exception of Texas and Florida, the SEC doesn't really have the mega-sized media markets that the Big10 does, so it's harder to recoup that initial investment. How many people on the west coast or east coast give 2 rips about Alabama besides the people that actually live in Alabama. Every Disney exec was probably crying in the bathroom when Nick Saban retired.

      No but all the southern players on all the teams in NFL all most likly travel and play games in cold weather sites during regular season . All those players not on Green Bay, Pittsburgh, ny, buffalo, NE etc are at a disadvantage compared to the southern players on those teams in playoffs because they played more home games in cold weather than the southern players on southern nfl teams. I know it’s a tuff concept to grasp, but concentrate!
