You can find how many yards are on a bolt by counting folds on one side of bolt. Every two folds equal a yard. Used this old school method while doing inventory at a fabric store. This is definitely a fantastic unit. Love it!!!
Fantastic Unit! WOWSER!!!! Grandma V's arms are going to be sore tomorrow/all week! ❤❤❤❤❤ Love your videos! Thank you for sharing your video with us and have a great evening!
From my quilting days, “blenders” are fabrics that will help to “blend” the brighter and detailed fabric with the plainer solids…sort of the middle ground. When you’re choosing fabrics for a quilt, depending on your pattern, you will often select your “darks, mediums and lights” for a quilt that looks more interesting and creates gradations of colors.
This unit is just mind blowing! I love to see you and Grandma V. work together and start giggling Grandma V's. laugh is so fun. Congratulations on a fantastic unit and congratulations on loosing 25 lbs. great job Grandma V. Poor Grandma V. I bet your arms and shoulders hurt after this one!
Hi from an old lady in OZ who’s been crafty & creative all her life. In the late 80s whilst recovering from cancer I met a lifetime best friend that became my likeminded partner in creative crime She taught me how to create with ceramics She was an amazing artist in all mediums & I gained from that I was a backyard self taught dressmaker & designer & together we had so much fun creating all sorts of crafts Unfortunately she passed away a few years ago and I don’t have the same zest to create anymore Although watching you unbox this unit has brought back such fond memories thank you for that I would’ve loved to have purchased the big die cut machine you unboxed in your craft unit prior to this one but unfortunately living in Australia & being computer illiterate I’m unable to make that happen (very sad) Perhaps I need to stop watching your great video’s because there is so much I’d like to buy &need (So difficult for me to shop these days mobility not the best) That’s enough about my verbal ranting I do wish you all great karma & keep on doing what you do The world would be a better place if more people showed happiness & generosity that your family show. Take Care Pamela
As grandma ventures disappears behind the stack of material. Wow this is definitely a great unit guys, congratulations. Take care and thank you for sharing 👍🙏❤️
You two are sooo cute! As a quilter and a little girl dress maker, you can never have too much fabric. Unfortunately the quality of the fabric is no longer so great, you have a great treasure of great fabric and patterns. I have sown so many of the patterns and colors you have from this haul. I am trying not to buy more fabric, so hope you get your stash to great buyers. From Southern Oregon.
Hi from OZ Those big cut fabric squares R called LAYER CAKES I think they measure about 10”x10” the small rolled pieces R called JELLY ROLLS They’re very popular with the young quilters They’re colour complimentary Takes the problem solving colour co-ordination out of making quilts The last couple of years TIE-DIE has become very popular in quilting b/c as you can C the colours R awesome and the fabric is great to sew & is durable which is what you need when quiltingQuilting is worldwide however America seems to have a big influence on this craft Keep on Keeping on Take Care Pamela
I hope y’all figured out that the prices on the bolts of fabric, like $10 or $12 were the retail prices per yard NOT per bolt. The craft store owner bought them at WHOLESALE prices and hiked up the prices at the current market price in that year. I wish I had found you during that time. I used to work at House of Fabrics and was a crafter for many years with my own business. I love y’all’s videos! ❤❤❤
Ecstatic, over the moon, beyond belief, these are rockin’ …..really special, fabulous, to die for, to the moon and back, Forever, a slice of heaven, a real keepsake, remarkable, once in a million locker, ….Wade, try these out.
Just bought a jelly roll last week, I know the fabric prices! Not cheap, but fun. You need to rent the old Fabric Depot site, 122nd and Stark and have a 4-day sale. Most of this fabric is printed, some of it is called batiks, it will have a weird smell and a waxy feel is wax dipped designs that are hand placed on fabric, multiple layers, very interesting documentaries on YT.
OMG wish I lived in your town, better if I lived next door. Love to Grandma Ventris. I'm a crafter too and I was having a heart attack with each fresh box you opened.
It's fine to sell bolts of fabric on Whatnot, you will weigh it & Whatnot will automatically charge the seller the right amount to ship them.... It's NOT up to you too pay for shipping!! I love your enthusiasm, btw!!!
It was almost like watching a store of sweet cakes. If I had the abilities to make more things in fabric and needed and dared to do it., I would have bought the content of at least 2 of the boxes. The precut square pieces can be crossmixed between the different packages. Some could start a quilt shop.
I'm looking forward to watching the auctions. Could you please say who the manufacturer is on each fabric? Kanvas, Benartex, Moda, Springs Creative, Island Batik, etc. I don't work with batiks and quilters will know what the texture is like based on who made the fabric. Few answers to some comments - this was from a quilt store, that's why there's not any apparel fabric and very little novelty prints (the star wars). If you count the folds on one side, 4 folds generally equals a yard and that would give you a good estimate of the yardage. Typical bolts are 12-15 yards to start, the small ones are probably down to 4+ yards.
On your first video you showed a bolt with hummingbirds with Paisley design inside the bird. Also showed a bolt with coordinating Paisley. I would love to have that fabric? Robin
What happened, did the owner have to close her shop? I can't really believe someone lost this unit. I feel so sad for the renter. " I AM SO EXCITED CAN'T HIDE IT" I am so Blessed.every kind of frabric and colors. I just want to know, what happened!! This is sad 😔
If you come across Robert Kauffman or Moda, those are two big names in designer cotton fabrics and high end and will sell very well…but geesh I’m sure many of the other brand names you have are very good too. And yep, the Star Wars…the bidding on that should be out of sight!
I would not want to repack all that material. I wish you could have had people come to the unit and buy or bid. This is almost like someone was going to open a frabric store and something happened so she/owner had to do a quick storage . Do you know how long this storage had been rented. Was there other items like thread etc,or just material. This is so sad,to watch, because, I just feel so sorry for the person, who lost this unit. 😢
Awesome unit love everything of I think you should make something yourself grandma venture love all the theme fabric like star wars and fish ones wish I could buy of you guys
You need to check for designers. Tula Pink fabric can go for ridiculous prices. OOP cand be $40 or more a yard. Also anything by Heather Ross can go for more then regular price.
You can probably find a fabric or textile broker who could find a buyer for the entire lot. He will get a cut, but to sell it all at one swoop would be worth it don’t you think?
Wade, I just watched your video from 10 months ago and you and your Mom were confused about what the board was with 2 pieces of smaller wood attached to it, one on each end. The board is for holding your cookbook.
Fabric is sold in bolts. Each one of the fabric wrapped cardboard pieces is called a bolt. On the end it should say what kind of fabric the manufacturer and how long it's supposed to be. So you can figure out the percentages of what you have on each Bolt. Like half a bolt or a third of a bolt.
im surprised there isnt any satins , or wools, or taffatas , especially since this is a fabric store. beautiful material!!! HOW on earth will you ever get it all sorted!!! do not envy you one little bit!
vintage fabrics (especially being 100% cotton) sell for much more than today's quilting type fabrics which are now mostly a polyester blend - you''ll want to keep them on the bolts until that bolt is sold so that you know the company/designer and how much yardage (exact or approximate) is left - FabricandMoreFabriCo on Etsy recently sold "Vintage Fabric by Mary Beth Baker for Henry Glass - Wine / Merlot / Happy Hour / Cheese / Vineyard - NOTE: Color is actually a deep burgundy. 100% unwashed, quilt shop quality cotton. came from a smoke free/pet free home" for $24.00 (assuming a yard), while a floral piece from the Kaffe Fassett Collection is available for $15.50 a fat quarter, $30.00 for half yard, $50.00 a yard - another vendor example: "Floral fabric, Colorful flowers, butterflies and dragonflies with words on cream fabric 100% cotton is listed for $5.82 for half yard 18x44, $11.95 for yard 36x44" (this seller also has quilting books by Lori Holt for $13.59 after 20% off) - also saw "Vintage Wine" by Mary Beth Baker (1132-99) being sold for $11.50 a yard which I'm positive I saw in one of your boxes- Etsy is a good place to do some searching for vintage fabrics/quilt supplies as it may help you in knowing what items such as wool felt sheets and other related materials are going for and give you some ideas - you have some work to do re sale information, i.e. all fabric new, stored carefully off-site or fabric store gone out of business, etc etc as some folk will certainly have questions re fabric conditions (not sure about telling stored for xx years unless storage was temperature controlled - am sure you'll work it out) it may take a little longer BUT DON'T SELL YOURSELF SHORT! and GOOD LUCK!

This is a quilters dream. Wish I had seen this a year or so ago. A quilter Can never have enough fabric😀❤️
Beautiful fabrics. You may find some of these are much more expensive now if they are no longer in print
You two are amazing! I love the all the giggling!

My thought wasn’t a fabric store, but a quilt store, since they are all 100% cotton.
Wow, congratulations Wade on such a great unit. There is some absolutely gorgeous fabric there. 😍
Do you have any with moons, or lotus flowers? I’m local. I’d love to buy some.
The Art Deco Cats as Grandma V. was calling it, are Laurel Birch fabrics. I would love to have some!
Great video love all fabric love the music one,so happy to see G V ❤️❤️
Thanks for showing all of it. I would love to finish a couple of quilts. I can’t wait for the auction, I hope it’s within my price range
I especially love all the batik fabrics!
Are you selling by the yard or by the bolt? Even quilters rarely buy the whole bolt.
It’s so good to hear grandma Venture, I wonder she would be like if she had a couple of drinks
LMAO.

Awesome Unit.
You can say Groovy because you found tye dye fabric
I am so at a loss for words... I have not sewn in a long time, because the materials had gotten so expensive... wow..... just WOW

No, no, no.... The RUclips and auction followers need to be able to buy this fabric as well.
If I had sewing machine, I would have a different duvet cover for each month. Super 👌 haul

Hello, Denise. Cat woman. But dogs love me. Be kind to one another. Stay safe. Love to all
Grandma V, there is defiantly something for everyone on here, your mum loves most of them, very groovy, I love it all!! Lv mxx
Love all of these fabrics! Have you uncovered any gardening themes?
The prices are by the yard. The brands sound like an old Hobby lobby store or Joannes. I notice that they carry the same patterns of prints.
You two makes a good team. Lots of laughing.
Wow FANTASTIC. LOVE ALL THE MATERIAL. !!!!!!!!

I love to fabric shop. You know you are near a true quilter if they are caressing the fabric as they shop. I can’t keep my hands off .
On your first video you showed a bolt with hummingbirds with Paisley design inside the bird. Also showed a bolt with coordinating Paisley. I would love to have that fabric? Robin
Damn. I would love some Hawaiian style shirts made with that tie dye material!!
What happened, did the owner have to close her shop?
I can't really believe someone lost this unit.
I feel so sad for the renter.

As a momma and meme that sews. I was drooling 😃 I'm really shocked there wasn't .ore flannel or cartoons. Just that lil bit of star wars.
A true textile treasure trove!

Four cats and two small ankle biters, love all, your fabric choices are wonderfully awesome
Oh how I would love ❤ 😍 to get a bunch of these!!! What gorgeous fabrics!!!
I looked up Mary Beth fabric that wine label print, it can still be ordered, it not crazy expensive FYI...
You can probably find a fabric or textile broker who could find a buyer for the entire lot. He will get a cut, but to sell it all at one swoop would be worth it don’t you think?

Really lovely fabrics. I agree with other comments, that this must have been a fabric store that went out of business.
I'm not sure if I missed it, but what did you end up paying for this nice score?
im surprised there isnt any satins , or wools, or taffatas , especially since this is a fabric store. beautiful material!!! HOW on earth will you ever get it all sorted!!! do not envy you one little bit!
I think it was more of a Quilt Shop than Fabric. Looks like mostly Quilt Fabric.
@@suzieq0452 I agree. That was a quilt store.
Marybeth Baker wine fabric 11.00-12.00 a yard or more
Are you selling by the yard or by the bolt?
I'd say GROOVY 😁
score just have fun
WOW!
Is this real? Is this comment from you Wade?
Is this 100 percent cotton fabric?
I used to make cocktail aprons out all the novelty fabrics for a craft shows. It’s making me itching to …..
There is to many to choose there all cool...❤
I thought the one both you & Ashlie did together was one of the best ever, till you got lucky again with this one 🎉🎉🎉party time🥳🥳🥳 mxx

I would like see the fabric up close…. Only an hour away. Is that possible? And ar3 you selling yardage? Prices?
As a seamstress I am going insane with this find. This is very productive 💰looks like maybe a fabric store went out of business. 🤷♀️
Really beautiful fabric for sure. I had a flood and lost all my fabric for quilts Broke my heart I had tub after tub of it and all was gone.
@@jregan5641 Oh no. I would be heartbroken, too. 😢
amazing
