I know some people complain about the longer form videos, but I actually appreciate the longer videos. The longer videos give more details about the process and how it is done. The short videos leave questions that end up being asked repeatedly in the comments section, or never asked at all. That Stanley turned out really nice. Thanks Jesse.
I'm glad you like the longer format, I like going into detail as well. I think it is good to do a balance of both. Plus, it keeps me on my toes.🤣. I think the Stanley turned out awesome.
Thanks for watching. I think it is one of the all time greats. A lot of great finishing features they put on it. Thank you for the vote of "Diamond Handle". LOL...
Hello. That is a great question. I have not found a source for that part. Sorry for the bad news. Perhaps someone else may have some insight. I have seen some other videos where they have milled a piece and capped it. With SuperLube you would have a need to oil it. Just a thought. Hope this helps.
Hi Jesse, I have a question. I have a MV 71 snap on quarter inch ratchet when I was doing the cleanup. I took the gear out and noticed the ball came out. How do I get that select switch out to replace the ball? Thanks Tom
Ah. Ok. If you find my video titled: 1st Place Winner Snap On FV71, it will show you how to do it. It is at the 7 minute mark in the video. Seems a little scary but it super easy. Hope that helps. Nice that you are going the extra mile. I use a spring loaded punch. Thanks for watching.
What a awesome restoration job on the "Diamond Handle Ratchet" looks and sounds great,
thank you very much and I will take great care of it.
Thanks! I really appreciate it, I am sure you will. Congrats again, Ray. Enjoy!!!

Thank you, that's very kind of you!
Great job
Thanks for watching. It was fun.
That Stanley was my personal favorite of the bunch. It looks great post-restoration, nice work.
I think the "diamond handle" moniker fits.

The diamond handle looks frosty! Nice!
Frosty... Hmm... I love that name as well. LOL.
I vote for Diamond handle ratchet. Lol. Who doesn’t love diamonds!!
I love that name as well. Glad to see I'm not too crazy.
Stanley looked alot like the Sk signature rachet. Great work again
Cool. I need to look that up. I can't recall but it bust be a looker like this one. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful ratchet.
Thank you! I'm very happy with how it turned out.
Very nice work. I use engine rebuild oil on 70+ tooth stuff but I always grease my more corse tooth ratchets
Great tip! It's always nice to learn from each other.
Very nice transformation. Came out great
Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Not a snap on hater but I love the stanley and always will. Great video. Thanks Jesse and keep em comin
Thanks so much, I love these old Stanleys too!
I was hoping for a new video tonight
Cool. I hope you enjoyed it. I will be starting on the 3rd one now. It's going to be exciting. Appreciate your support.
Hi Jessie, I found a snap on 1/2 inch 71M but it’s missing the ball detent and spring for the oil port.
Are these available? Thanks

Have you done it on a quarter inch? It looks like it’s peened over
@@tomiannarino8673 I haven't actually. Let me see what I have that we can highlight in a video. Good thinking.
that would be awesome! Take a look at one and see what you think. I’m afraid to mess with it, but I have to do something because the ball came out.
