I always more or less assumed that China was a developmental authoritarian state in a stage of intense modernization before socialism and ultimately communism, very interesting content.
Yes, that's both the official line that they're taking, and communists also hold to China still being an ideologically communist nation. I don't really know who is correct in this matter, Dr. Johnson is incredibly smart but that doesn't mean he gets everything right.
I respect modern China their rising while the US is falling honestly their a serious nationalist which has returned to the spirtual and philosophical roots and it has brought upon a era of prosperity and brillant leadership
He's largely correct on the developments of China's economy but no way does it resemble 1930s Germany. Nazi Germany was heavily reliant on imports of raw resources from the Balkans, and Scandinavia. Most sectors of the economy were stripped and repurposed for munitions, and arms manufacturing. The capitalist exploiting class was maintained as well in Nazi Germany, but kept on a short leash.
It's true that probably the greatest error of the fascists was their arrogance in thinking they could keep the capitalist class in-check for as long as they wanted. It's been a while since I last read about how the Nazi economy worked but its pretty easy to guess that rearmament and militarization was the main focus. That said, I know Communists make this critique about the fascist regimes requiring imperialism abroad for raw materials but I think it has to be understood that Russia and China were extremely exceptional countries in the sense that these were civilizational states that covered most of the Eurasian continent. Raw materials were barely a problem for them because they were such huge countries that most of the raw resources they needed were already located within their borders. Germany on the other hand was just a nation state that no longer had its overseas colonies since WW1.
What we simply do not know is the level of covert control exercised by western elites on the Central Committee of the CCP. Burham's old book on managerial elites taught us, surely, that all is not what it seems. To the extent that any nation cannot seal its own borders and close its economy, it is a liberal state. Superb content, as usual, by Dr Johnson.
It's an interesting thing to consider, even if we grant that the CCP has evolved since their Mao days, does that mean that they're the good guys just because they're more nationalistic? (which isn't hard considering modern day liberals are so far left they make Lenin look like a right winger) I often have this debate with my best friend, he's extremely anti-china whereas I'm more sympathetic to them. Over the years we've both mellowed out, he used to be really pro-taiwan but recently he's just as sceptical of them, and I'm not as optimistic that China is the 'based' country I thought it was.
Dr. Mathew Raphael Johnson, doesn’t identify as a fascist, and has criticism of fascism, especially Mussolini. He is a National Socialist and Royalist.
It's not Communist but it sure is technocratic
He should talk with people like John Doyle and Nick Fuentes

this myth of NS Germany's economy being geared towards war has been debunked ad nauseam
@@arxiadelam204 Any recommended links or books about debunking the claim?
