I think that the state should intervene here. The Judicial system should keep a thing in mind that they should teach common people to think on long-term welfare. If the cultural practices would be banned, the leftover food can help to fulfill poverty across the country. Secondly, the cultural practices definitely affects the devotes' health, and therefore the state should aware them of that no one should intentionally affect his/her health.
Overall, I think that the state should aware them of that human dignity, welfare, and health should be prioritized at first from all religional and cultural beliefs.
