Note that most English-speakers (US, UK) have 3 names: a surname ("last name") and two given names ("first name" and "middle name"). So it seems normal to see Chinese names written as 3 names (Gao Mei Li), instead of two (Gao Meili).

梁海sounds like a boy’s name. 梁海洋 sounds better

Hi, my English name is Vladislav and my chinese friends gave me a chinese name 小夫, which sounds quite similar to the end of my first name. My last name in my first language means “black”, but I don’t think 黑小夫 is appropriate 😂
it reminds me of 小夫 from《多啦A梦》. I wouldn't say inappropriate, just feel a bit not serious enough haha. 黑德 might be an option. 😁
