Celtic Woman was formed by David Downes (the piano player and conductor) in 2007 for a One Night performance to be recorded for American PBS Channel. The ONE NIGHT has now lasted through 16 years, many world tours and so, so many Number One records on the World Billboard Charts.
This particular show was their best ever in my opinion, because the perfect mix of these 4 voices and the arrangements were so fantastic! This was the 2009 performance live from Ireland. Great stuff! By the way, you really should check out Danny Boy and Amazing Grace from this same concert. You will be very glad you did. A few years later, Haley Westenra sang Scarborough air live from Ireland, as well. That one is also worth your checking out.
I always love when people mention how beautiful these ladies are, because they ARE, both vocally and appearance wise, but I must say, you yourself is absolutely GORGEOUS too, I hope you get to hear that often because you're straight out of a fairytale beautiful!

The performers in order of appearance: Máiréad Nesbitt (violinist), Alex Sharpe, Chloë Agnew, Lisa Kelly, then Lynn Hilary. The group started in 2004. Those in this video from the originals are Máiréad, Chloë, and Lisa. None of these ladies are in the current group.

This song always makes me emotional, I especially like Josh Groban's cover of this one, but these ladies beat even Josh. I tear up every time I hear this. The lineup of performers has changed since they did this concert so none of these ladies are still in the group. It's a revolving door (really too bad). They had changed a few members before this, too. You would really have to go to their channel and scroll all the way to the beginning... I wish I could help with naming songs to react to but I did not get into the group enough to be able to name off everything they did. This particular concert is seen as the best one they ever did and as you can see, that was more than ten years ago. It's a real shame that members kept leaving and new members kept coming in so now I can't name off anybody. But I think they probably sound pretty good these days as well. I just have not been listening to them since this concert happened.
