This video is great man. Incredible editing, writing and you really nailed the charm of what made zombies so good back in the day and perfectly encapsulate this feeling.
Dang, I wasn't expecting a level of quality like this, this is well done. I will say, I am curious about the round based perk system, having them be temporary could be an interesting change to the perk system that might be feasible. Maybe could be implemented/tested in custom maps of some kind.
Bro you had me concerned with the uncle intro. Great vid, subbed with notifications. "A doorway with pikes and spikes." I'm starting to suspect you're british.
Man, that concept map sounds actually goated (i like perk bottles, so maybe like the effects are temporary like an energy drink. And having to buy them again to have the effect again every 15 rounds or so.) But also i liked the upgraded perk system from cold war, so maybe you can buy special more expensive versions from the machines, but there has to be a catch, like your heart will explode if you drink too much.
This is so well put together, the first half of the video I thought you'd haveat lease a few thousand subs and went to go like and sub because of the fantastic editing and comedy, and was completely caught off guard by how underrated you are!! keep up the great work, you're going to blow up calling it right now
Please dont let this amazing idea fade to dust maybe you can work with modders to realize it . Great vid and thanks for the sker ritual shoutout i had no idea it excisted and am hooked now
I think the really over complicated nature of Easter Eggs in zombies is a good thing and even necessary, the objective is to just play and survive, so long as all the basics are reasonably attainable then they should have every right to be as convoluted and needlessly complex for the side objectives as they see fit. This rewards hardcore players and doesn't hinder casuals who just want to play round based survival. I literally only just completed BO1's Call of the dead for the first time a few weeks ago coz I never cared about completing EE's until recently, and my opinion of the map is exactly the same as it has been all the way back when I was 12 and played it for the first time. Everything BO3 and before by Treyarch was perfect, yes some maps were better than others but the core mechanics were exactly what they needed to be to cater to every single player, modern zombies has just ruined the formula and we'd be way better off just doing what worked. Maps can and should still innovate, but the entire game as a whole should be really careful about new core additions that impact every map, but honestly so long as you have 1 or 2 OG survival maps I think you'll please 80% or more of fans
This video is fantastic. Theres not many ppl making videos abt zombies like this so it was very refreshing to see such a in-depth video about the mode.
it was actually the animation of the Japanese soldiers stumbling around after being bombed that they thought looked zombie like and inspired the mode but the ones on fire count too I suppose
very very good video i dont leave comments that much but holy Wonderfull video !!!!!! so much detail for a great topic in my opinion and crazy how u are not that big... that means i prey for u my man good work !
Here's what I'd do with a new zombies map to help it get back on track: It'd be like Verrukt 2.0: You'd start outside what appears to be a normal hospital or even a fairly calm (albeit stereotypical) asylum, but you can't stay out there long, because hounds start spawning in and chasing you like how the zombies on Forsaken do in the spawn area (except these ones don't explode, they bite and deal damage similar to an early round zombie (their health and damage would increase the longer you stay out there, but you'd also have a couple wallbuys in case you want to do a spawn room challenge or something. Like maybe 2 normal price guns and 1 REALLY expensive and fairly good (like an LMG or something) gun that's supposed to be bought when you get back to spawm after exploring the rest of the map) and as long as you don't leave the spawn area or open any doors, then getting a kill will revive you with whatever perk(s) you may/may not have had. (But if you open any door that takes you away from spawn, then you are only able to get up from Quick Revive in solo) Once you leave spawn, you'll enter in on the second floor of a mental health facility, and this second floor has a library, bathrooms, therapy rooms, a and the front desk and such. Going down to the next floor, you'll encounter the common area and patient rooms, where you can see some little things here and there that hint at the place being worse than it seems (like one room may have a small blood stain, another may have a carving on the wall, the padding on the walls of another cell may be torn or stitched back together), Then on the next floor down, there'd be an operating theater, things would be more gory and a creepy After that, you'd reach a basement level with the power switch, and when you turn on the power, it'd detonate charges that reveal the sub-basement or open up a door to a sub-basement level that's a lab covered in guts, gore, zombies, and other expirments being operated on. You'd fight your way through the sub-basement, and when you reach the next door, a boss zombie would spawn and start to chase you, slowly. It'd never run after you, but it'll also never be far behind. It can deal damage to other zombies as well as to you, and is difficult to kill. (Think like if pyramid head from Silent Hill was slowly following you like the Astronaut from moon does. Except without the perk removal ability) if you kill the boss zombie, it'll drop a free perk power-up (you can get up to 5 extra perks this way and they're given at random. After those 5 perks (if you go down after getting those 5 perks, you'll need either an elixir/gobblegum or something to get all the perks in the game again, because you'll only have 5 spots open. Technically, if you have enough points, there'd be a wunderfizz that'd allow you to get the rest back, but he won't drop anymore) (should you be out of quick revive, he'll have a higher chance of giving you it as the free perk) after the 5 bonus perks, he'll start dropping fire sales and he'll have a SMALL chance to drop a Bonfire sale. As you progress through the sub-basement, you come across sealed prison doors where you can see and hear patients and prisoners being tested on and screaming for mercy and such. Some may even try reaching through their cell doors to grab you, (which does next to no damage, it just helps sell the whole concept) At the end of all that, there's a gate to the dark aether, but its made using the kind of "magic" and runes from Vanguard zombies, so it looks like it's from the occult and such. You go through it, and are transported to a new area in the asylum, where you find that the asylum and facility are WAAAAY bigger in the Dark Aether, and entire sections of the map are either missing, moved around, or floating off in the air, away from the normal areas (but still playable) (Its to play up how the Dark Aether is a mirrored, and distorted version of our reality) you can even see cells that are just huge voids, hallways that stretch on forever, and you can even see some of the inmates/patients being tormented by the zombies and souls in the Dark Aether, making you think maybe they aren't so crazy after all... As you fight your way around the distorted version of the asylum, you'll stumble on Pack a Punch, (you can only access PaP in the Dark Aether) and nearby is another gateway back to the normal world, which starts by putting you back at the gate in the sub-basement, but after that first time, will start sending you back to random spots around the map. (But you can sorta control where you end up like you could on Classified by timing the use of the gate correctly) The more times you go to the Dark Aether, the more distorted the real world becomes, until eventually (around round 50-60), you can't tell a difference between the two and you can finally move around freely and access PaP without using the gates That's also when you'll get a new objective that has you trying to reverse the merging of the Dark Aether with our world, and that needs the new wonder weapon(s). But if you just wanna keep playing for high rounds, you can just hit a button on the keyboard or controller and the objective will be shut off. The map would also have the exfil option starting on round 15. You would also eventually return to the spawn area after you access PaP, and if you're in the real world, it functions as a great training area, and the hounds that chased you at the beginning wouldn't spawn, but if you return there in the Dark Aether, it remains as it was, with unlimited dogs and now zombies too. Plus small pieces of cover spawn in the Dark Aether in the spawn area to make training there a bit harder. The zombie designs would be almost identical to the ones in call of duty WWII zombies, while the art style would be more like Origins or Der Eisendrache, where its fantasical, but still grounded enough to reality that you'd believe it could be real.
you being under 100k subs should be criminal, you're content is actually peak! also side note I am part of that minority who adores BO4 and honestly its nealy overtaken BO3 in terms of how much i like playing it. Its definitely got its shitty problems but god i love bo4 maps. Edit; Your map idea os crazy cool, honestly you should look into talking to some bo3 modders and map makers. Who knows it would be cool as hell having a map like that honestly.
Loved the video. Good shizzle. Friendly tip for further videos: place some mattresses / plankets around your room / where u record ur commentaries. It would remove / dampen echo / reverbiness off from ur commentary 👍
Thanks man! I've got a mic but filmed this using a GoPro for maximum space against the green screen (the room I film in is very small 😂), gonna make an effort to have the mic ready for my next video! Thanks for the support, friend 🤘
Great video! while i disagree with some of the suggestions you make, I believe these changes would be a VAST improvement to the current state of zombies. Also, this video is highly underrated... you get a like from me! hopefully more people see this. Keep up the good work!
20:01 I wouldn't say the armor system was overcompensating since zombies can 1 hit you in the higher rounds. Your idea is alright. I thought you would choose a map more interesting than another military base. Also we've seen in execution that enemies that slow you down means instant death. Enemies that shoot back just don't belong in Zombies. An armor system that you have to buy constantly failed because the price increased higher than the amount of money you could make. So losing your perks every 10 rounds doesn't even sound good on paper.(we all know what it's like trying to get our perks back after dying).
Really funny and amazing video, definitely earned a subscribe and like :) One thing that you didn’t touch on was how overly convoluted and unnecessary the HUD/Ui design has become. Markers on the screen directing you to every new location. The mini map AND Compass are unnecessary for zombies. It needs to go back to a clean and simple layout that helps to add the immersion to each map
Praising Sker Ritual at the end kinda made the whole thing fall flat, because... Just, no? Sker Ritual isn't a good game. I hate to say it, because I really and truly tried loving it, but it's got so many of the flaws you pointed out in COD Zombies.
Great video Zombie RUclipsr seem to forget that EEs and cringy stories is great for them but normal people want fun, scary and simple, with the aliens completely ruining every new map for me I want to kill zombies not ancient redditors
My answer is, make it all about the Vrilya instead of the stupid apothican great war garbage. Keep it simple and scientific, not mythotocal. Zombies come from element 115, aliens gave humans the element, humans tore themselves apart, that's the story. No dragons, none of that.
Epstein didn't kill himself (great vid btw)
SOMEONE SAW IT 😂
Also love the Zomboys content 👀
Shree what are you doing here?
@@Tayls250what are the presidents doing here

I’m kind of shocked how this isn’t getting noticed. Top-tier editing and the video was enjoyable. Keep it up!

Btw your editing was great and the way your video was paced was awesome, just upgrade that audio and your going places pal

I've been playing Zombies in VR on Contractors. It's difficult having to manually reload while they're chasing me. But it's a great game

I'm ⅔ through the video right now and i genuinely thought this would be from a channel with at least 70k subs, it's insane that I'm the 737th sub
Also you better tone down that exo zombies disrespect
One thing I've seen others add is take out all the atmosphere breaking indicators and health bars from the newer zombies.
I absolutely loved this video, the algorithm finally recommended me a video I actually care about! sub well earned

bothers me how much you talk about jason B for WAW zombies... it was Jimmy Z and then jason b was head for part bo2 but all bo3+4
Dude this video is epic, genuinely the funniest thing I've watch in a while
Thanks so much man, I poured a lot of time and sanity into it 😂

Insightful and entertaining! ❤ the edits are top tier 😅
24:49 sounds like overlord movie
nah my boy being slept on we need to get this man to 100k 😭
Amazing video brother, we need to see Lex react to this! The memes in this legit made me laugh 😂
Solid video, good analysis on the zombies and agree with a lot of your points. Just want good old round based zombies and shit would be fire

Great video! The effort you put in and quality of the video is incredible!
THIS GUY IS WAY WAYYYYYYYYYYY TOO UNDERRATED
Adding a new map to WaW or Black ops would bring players back. I personally would be ecstatic

That intro was funny af great vídeo man 👍
It kills me that people just don't acknowledge Jimmy Z anymore. He was the mastermind behind zombies, not Blundell
*_Maybe the real way to fix Call of Duty Zombies was inside of us all along_*
I hope everyone enjoyed their Vietnam flashback as much as I did.
Bruh I remember me and my sister playing kino and five and being terrified
Great video Zombie RUclipsr seem to forget that EEs and cringy stories is great for them but normal people want fun, scary and simple, with the aliens completely ruining every new map for me I want to kill zombies not ancient redditors
