I'm by no means a coach, but I have a few things I'd like to mention that I think is important.
The unavoidable: First of all, yeah that Renata just kept coming mid. Doesn't make it exactly easy. Only thing you can really do there is pray your team can make plays elsewhere. I also see you don't really understand your opponents goals and what they can do, for example Ryze's point and click root. You just gotta play more and more to get that matchup experience.
Mechanics: You gotta work on your E! I see you try to case it out of range.
On your goal of prioritizing not dying: It's good that you're not dying, but however, you might be dooming your team in their fights by not being there (even though you might be making the correct decisions).
The following is the biggest thing I could see this game.
Your build and resources: You frequently had to back away from fights and waves because you had no mana. What happens when you skip out on buying lost chapter is you surrender all neutral game (contesting the wave using pushing speed) to Ryze and he's free to play the map whilst you're forced to last hit under tower. This is a nightmare scenario for your jungler cause his playmaking is severely limited. There will be no drakes, no grubs, no herald, no invading. And when you have no mana, no one wants to gank cause they know you lack resources to deal damage.
Role knowledge and win conditions: You seem to know a lot about support and bot lane but you need to fixate more on what your goals and responsibilities are for midlane! Your win con, what do you actually bring to your team and how do you leverage that in the best way possible. How is the Mid+Jungle 2v2? Do you win by pushing and roaming? Do you win by scaling?
Vod reviewing: Enter the vod with a goal and purpose. It should NEVER be you reviewing other players' performance (if you're looking to improve YOUR OWN play). It's just your ego trying to protect you from taking responsibility (even though it very often isn't entirely your fault, you're just 20% of the team after all). But you need to focus on yourself. Find ONE big thing, and then end the review. It should be something like this.
"What made the laning phase so difficult? Why did I feel like I had no agency? Was it Ryze's mechanics? Did he play his waves better? Did I have good resets? Did I play according to my win condition?"
I hope this is at least a little bit useful!

agreed w all tips, especially the item part which a lot of ppl don’t rlly give much focus to since there are decent recommended builds. simply have to play different to account for things like lack of a mana item; thinking ahead to recall and be available for upcoming fight/obj etc

and absolutely learning your opponents skills will just come with game time, but this is why i unironically recommend aram for ppl in the early learning phases!! lot of stuff isn’t intuitive and is confusing from the receiving perspective, but it’ll make complete sense once you play it yourself
