Great to see you and Whiskey back on the tube, David! My wife and I visited Glenns Creek after watching previous videos of yours and it was a real highlight of our trip. A really cool distillery and another great video. Thank you!
Great video, David! I love your distillery travel stories. It's neat to learn about the real people who make the whiskies possible and the history of these makers. Thank you!
David , Glad to see a new video. It is a shame that folks will turn up their nose on these just to get something from BT. I get they have a good price tag but they are not a big distillery and you get what you pay for most of the time ! Hope things are improving and the batteries are charging ,,, until the next drop ,,, Onward and Upward !
I recently visited Castle and Key about 5 miles south of Frankfort KY, next to Glenn's Creek Distillery. Castle and Key is a fancier tourist place, but their bourbon tasted young and seemed overpriced. The problem with Glenn's Creek is that they only make about 1 barrel a day, and the only places I have seen it for sale are the stores that add about 5 to 15 dollars onto the retail price. I have a $35 Coopers Craft 100 I am trying next, then maybe the liter bottle of Green River coming out soon.
@jeffruebens8355 Glenn's Creek is definitely small batch! It's a very small operation and I think if you buy direct at the distillery, it's worth it I agree with you on Castle and Key. I have 2 different bottles (unopened) but what I tried at the distillery was VERY unimpressive. I tried after I bought those bottles, based on hype
There is a bar and store in downtown Frankfort that is sold out for Castle & Key bourbon, and 2 of the more expensive Glenn's Creek Stave & Barrel and OCD #5 still on the shelves. It seems like many just look at price. I do have 3 cheaper to rebuy, Old Grand-Dad 100 proof, Early Times 100 proof blue top, and Bernheim Original 90 proof Wheat Whiskey. Still working on looking for other rebuys instead of one and dones.
Great show! Great reviews! Thank you!

@@jeffruebens8355 it's a shame how this REALLY good stuff gets overlooked in favor of the "let's jump on the overhyped bandwagon" stuff.
Reached out to you on Facebook.
