As much as I like Big Gabe, and as much as I hate to say it, he absolutely deserved to lose game 2. At 47:53 he lands a CC in the bottom left corner at a fresh expansion. For the next nearly 4 FULL minutes, there is NO activity there, until it is eventually destroyed by Maru. No SCV's, not even mule drops. And as far as production goes, there was basically nothing coming out of HeroMarine once the chaos started. They were basically in a base trade scenario, but he didn't bother to lift buildings, or rebuild production structures anywhere, or tap out the resources that were available to him. Meanwhile, Maru continued to macro through the chaos, scraping everything together that he could, so that even though he was actually down in army supply at one point, he still managed to recover and win it. It was almost like, once things got dicey, HeroMarine decided to just stop macroing entirely. Very disappointing. I really thought he was better than that.
@@danielpirez381 its entrely different thing to talk about future projections, who know if SC2 still exist as an e-sport after the current deal with Blizzard is done. As of now, Maru is better than Clem overall as a Terran. Clem is better in TvZ but Maru is unstoppable in TvT, and his TvP is also better than Clem. The "ranking" you are talking about are probably Aligulac, which are not accurate imo because Clem play alot of small online EU tournament and rack up all the rating beating up weaker players.
It's funny that the casters fly to Sweden to cast but the players stayed at home to play :)
Well, it's funny but the casting quality would be a lot lower than what it is atm :)
What an amazing match! The casters did an excellent job too!
29:00 Seriously? When he guessed Ditto that fast when Rotterdam only barely described the pokemon, that was so impressive xD
that game 2 was nuts
yeah right, Maru little bit playfull but gg

"Clem and HeroMarine kind of belong on that list" LMAO is that caster living under a rock? Clem is ranked higher than Maru at the moment of this game.
Yeah but what has he won other than ESL open cups..

@@tigera6 still, his downplay on Clem is ridiculous for a "pro" caster.
