I used to work with an older guy that would always say "work smarter not harder". I think he would approve of this. You guys leave it spotless. The customer is happy and everyone can still walk when they get home. This is a one man operation in our division. Better go, I'm going to be late for the chiropractor.
That's cool they process it as C&D. Pretty sure all the bulk trash here gets landfilled, with the exception of Phoenix Avondale and Tempe's separate green waste pickups and RAD pulls obvious pieces of green waste, cardboard and metal out of all their trash at the transfer station. Wish more cities would attempt to divert like that, Glendale's bulk loads have to be like 90% green waste and 5% cardboard with only like 5% being actual trash but it all gets landfilled unfortunately.
I sooo wish i had a loader doing most of the work for me . i typically drive a frontload two sort and sometimes do rolloff.but ill tell ya almost everything ends up in the landfill.you name it its there.
I remember a story from a place north of where I live. A garbage company got a new garbage truck for their company, they wrecked ots packer within 327 hours by running car frames through it.
bulk waste removal like this better than the old days when people used to haul the trash to the riverbank , vacant lots and dump it illegally or burn it in the backyard in the old pre-epa days before 1970.
This reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer takes over the waste department and blows the year's budget in a week by having the garbagemen do everything. It's no wonder why high taxes are chasing people out of California.
Don't like this idea, seems as though it takes longer to get it loaded, just by observing the last few minutes, the guy operating the tractor has gotten the stuff all over the street, two man crew seems to be much faster!

my favorite saying that's true. you ain't gonna get no medal for popping a hernia that's for sure.
You can work smart and you can work hard
They need a 18ton street sweeper following
Cool bulky waste videos man right on man

Garbage Trucks AZ klk,
That tractor makes 10x more of a mess. If they did it manually they would not have to spend so much time sweeping.
I have always thought that!,they end up doing the same job twice!
I think once they have enough practice with it, it's way more efficient. The new videos of people using Tink are really effective.
You would think the bottom of that claw would have Wheels

Oh wow, most of the stuff shown in the video being collected gets recycled.

Yeah, garbage trucks don't like packing stuff like that!
That first shot...it's sad to think some people have that much garbage piled up in their back yard.
+trashmonster26 And just a reminder that this is a three times yearly service.
they had small boxes and a lunchables tray
+trashmonster26 Yup. Sounds like typical Citrus Heights.

What a waste of money and time get your hands dirty lads
they need to invest in trash truck that has a grapple on it it would be more cleaner and faster than sending four guys out to do one neighborhood
That's how Sacramento County does it.

lol 😆 That has got to be one of the funniest comments I have read!

That tractor is destroying the road and gutters. Look at all the nasty scratches it causes. SMDH!
The road is fine
The township i work for we have this same set up for one of the routes on leaf season the scratch's will go away in a couple of weeks
if there gonna use the tractor instead of the guys sweeping have the street cleaner behind them
What happened to mulching?
Yard waste and other recyclables are pulled out a sorting center to be processed and recycled.

If you have picked it up to move it why not just throw it in the truck................
It's a safety thing. Less opportunity for employees to get any injuries on the job.
Us humans are so wasteful
