Always good to see neighbors working together like you guys were. My neighbors & I do the same thing here in my area. Dang the luck with the V plow. Keep up the good wok there.
Thanks for taking me along for the ride. Im looking out at whiteout conditions. My township plows farm driveways out. I still have to clean up with my open station JD.
yeah thats like the highway crew plows the had to do had to fix the lights and wipers plus they got rid of the back up beepers out there highway plows wich drove them nuts
Hey Friend, So good to see you banging out content or rather taking the time ⌚ to give us a peek into your life. I would love to see how you are going to address that broken plow as it sounds as if that area has been welded before. I really enjoy your repairs and how deftly you incorporate teaching with the entertainment you offer. Keep on rockin' Blake. Your endeavor is much like selling life insurance door to door; if you only want to quit once a day, you are a RAGING SUCCESS.
Bad luck mate, it is quite surprising the forces applied to your plough by packed snow. Still a like your calm approach to the breakage, I might have gone ape
That loader is a God send for you for sure. I can remember growing up as a young lad back in the 40's and 50's in southern Ontario Canada. We had many winters like this living in the country. Snow and high winds and sometimes you couldn't get out for a couple days. Great to see you back making videos again when you have time. P.S. I know about open stage in that weather on a Farmall M with a V plow.
Blake, great attitude! I would not have been able to recover as well. Thanks for the video, BTW looks like I am looking at getting back into a superduty! 7.3 is really the answer!
I buy my cutting edges for my tractor at a municipal supply. It's reversible so when one side wears out you unbolt it and turn it around. You can check where you highway dept. Buys there edges.
Quick welding trick: on welds that just keep breaking go back and grind out old filler and then use stainless rod. Works every time as long as there is something decent to weld to.
I remember when those plows first came out, and the hinges were weak then.. I was able to make new hinges and modify the wings so they would work.. but I also hade a lathe and an 1-1/4 dill but for it!
Put a switch in the cab on the ground wire so you have the option of back up alarm or silence of the alarm. We do all are trucks and equipment. Good luck
I plow first pass with a straight blade, or v’d back if it’s heavy, then use angle to push back the edges. Even if it requires a 3rd pass when 2 might have done I find it faster overall, and a whole lot less work overall.
Hello, Nice plow setup. Love the new wheel loader!! Is the snow blade a pickup truck style? I have an older John Deere 244E wheel loader likely somewhat similar in size to your Case. I have a large poly snow blade that used to be on a municipal dump truck. I was afraid that a pickup style blade wouldn't hold up to the forces generated by the wheel loader.
Speed determines the energy impacting a plow blade. The speed of a dump truck makes it much harder on a blade especially on similar weight vehicles. A 244 is about 12,000lbs which is about what 1.5ton dump weighs. Around here all municipal dumps are over 26,000lbs.
I had a big Michigan front end loader that I rigged an old state snowplow to. A little front heavy but it came with the complete set up. It was a little bent up from an accident but still did the job
I might be wrong, but at @20:42 it looks like if you flip the cutting edge 180 degrees laterally, it might be center to the bucket. I think it extends further out from the leftmost whole than from the rightmost. And the bolt pattern on the bucket is exactly the other way round.
I hear ya! Even when I complain, I truly enjoy plowing snow, even though I have an open cab 35 hp tractor😆 Sorry your rig broke. Stay warm! Ps. Glad I'm not the only one who talks to their equipment🤣😂
Normally on a dozer, that last 10" or 12" of the blade on the bucket is a separate piece. You could cut your blade back on both sides and add on a small replaceable blade end, just like a dozer.. Or I guess, just do it on that short side and leave the other side how it is.
Sorry to hear and see you broke your plow. . I have a question. What happened to that money I sent you for singing lessons? hahahaha. Just joking sir. You have a nice voice.
i am also a small kid that never grew up i love snow as much today at 40+ yo as i did when i was 8 years old ..theirs is just something about it..i love it..knee deep to a giraffes a* back side is fine with me..hahaha ! well so long as no ones power goes out !I Really Really HATE Them Dang Backup Beepers To..they should be illegal to put on any thing with out permission IMHO.
Bobcat makes industrial attachments, and home owner attachments. that plow looked very much home owner. steel is way too thin to be anything used commercially, or for miles on end.
Farmers around here used to plow the roads. Then the county threw a hissy fit that they are the only ones allowed to do any work to county roads and if you plow them you're breaking the law. Stupid county.
Please show us your repair process on your plow and the end result. Good stuff, thank you for taking the time to share it.

Its great to have good neighbors who work together! I've got a couple great ones myself.
I delt with the snow enough when I was younger. I am glad I am in Florida I don't have to deal with the snow. Great video
Great video. Hope that loader gives you many years of service
Nevermind Blake you'll get the plow fixed again, that loader has been a sound purchase 👍, glad to see I'm not the only one that hasn't grown up.😆
Blake is back!! Thanks for posting! "What's broken? Yep, that's broken..."
Thanks for taking me along for the ride. Im looking out at whiteout conditions. My township plows farm driveways out. I still have to clean up with my open station JD.
I too vote for lights, beacon, and wiper repair. Thanks Blake for the video.

You sure are right about the adult Tonka toys! Sorry about the plow... Maybe a snowblower for the deep drifts?
we have some solid hla blades

So glad to have you back!! First vid I watch, and I do a lot and varied a lot. Good vids!
In Utah I used an open Kabota 4wd tractor and a 5 ft drag blade with a front end loader. Cold as it could be
yeah kubota and case has the best quality and reliable power thats why i love both kubota and case products
Glad you’re back missed tour videos!

nice job geting the snow out of the way 👍

Love moving snow, but only if it’s warm in the cab.

That is why I have Chains on the Front, Steering control.
Here in Central Wisconsin Our County Plows ALL Roads.

i was plowing out on roundtop rd this same day in cheyenne
You are having way too much fun

A good 50 inch curved led lightbar should sort out your lighting problems.
hello from the Netherlands .
thanks for the video .
Sincerely Hollandduck

Didn't you use to have snow fences on the edge of the road?
Thats why we can't have nice things you break them LOL! Insert welding rod and wire !

Yep we are all just little boys with big toys and we play hard and break them

RUclips are playing silly buggers again, this only appeared in my feed 3 days after you posted it.
Oh, and if ya wanna see snow, check out "Mammoth Mountain Life" on RUclips. They've had 400+ inches of snow so far..
Interesting

It’s a liability your taking plowing the roads yourself
