It's not that it's "fake" or "sped" up, it's that all you "youtuber" guitar players are pantomiming. You've prerecorded the piece, probably using multiple different tracks/sections to make sure it's all played flawlessly, then you go back and play it for real for the video as best you can in 1 take. Take the "studio" audio and put it over the video and it's jarring to people who play guitar. It shouldn't sound that clean if you're live playing it in 1 take because you aren't. Ez. Exposed. I got banned bc I made it my purpose to aim for the head only (I practice with a mod that disabled all hit boxes but the one on the head so when I played on servers muscle memory kicked in). On lan parties people were gathering behind me to see if I was legit. One time everyone changed over to WoW because it was no fun for them to play cs with me lol. The funny thing is I wasn’t even that good. I was a good low-mid skill player. I had friends who were mid-high or even pros and I had no chance. Point being, noobs always complain rather than just trying to achieve their personal high point. I’m telling you the guy who commented that he’s played guitar for 23 years is exactly that. A noob. He probably plays pentatonic scales and rock licks and now judges newer players who know about various techniques that yield crazy sounds and when he can’t comprehend it = must be fake. Just like the noobs in cs couldn’t comprehend that one can practice to only aim at the head. I don’t know maybe I’m the crazy one here but when I heard it I didn’t think it was fake. I just thought that it’s something I’ll never be able to learn 😂😂😂😂😂

As someone who has played guitar for 30 years, the instant I heard that technique I said to myself "ok something different is happening here. I need to learn this." People assume something isn't real when it forces them to confront themselves with their own skill level instead of being excited to improve.

Charlie, I don't remember the magazine or the song yet I vividly recall a transcription of a Satriani track appearing somewhere in which the transcriber noted that (in a specific section) Joe's line was actually two different guitars. He wrote in to correct the transcriber and provided his own lesson on how to play it.

There are similar techniques in flamenco, the alzapua combined with hammer ons and pull offs creates a similar effect, we do this with a plucking thumb up and down only on the right hand.
Yes, of course you are doing this, no tricks, just a combo of right and left hands.
    Yes you are very controlled.
    Excellent playing. God bless you.
